I would like to know that how can i see my JAR files. Suppose i've one JAR file or 've downloaded from net. Now, i want see those files. Don't say with Eclipse or any other IDE. In my pc i've only j2sdk and j2re. can i see all my JAR files throw j2sdk? or any other way , let me know.
I really didn't get you. As in Eclipse you can easily see all java code comprises of real code. As what you mentioned, i'm only able to see the command lines codes what it comprises of. I wanted to see the real java code files.
eg..
I've[b] jr jar files in my pc. I want to see what it consists of (java code). I want to see that pure java source code. As what you can easily do with your any IDE (Eclipse). Can i do it with command prompt?

M Fazal Ur RehmanExcellent question. I don't see any client-jar in your EAR file structure. So I am assuming you are writing a separate client application which will talk to the ejbs deployed as part of this EAR. You need to do the following:
Write another EAR file with the following structure:
ear:
META-INF/application.xml
util.jar
client.jar
client.jar should have a META-INF/MANIFEST.MF and that should contain Class-Path:util.jar and value for Main-Class attribute.
Now deploy this new ear to your application server and execute it using Application Client Container that comes with your app server.
If you don't want to write another EAR file, then bundle th client.jar in your original EAR file.
Points to note are:
you have to repackage util.jar again inside this ear file.
For portability reason, you should use Class-Path manifest entry in client.jar. Refer to http://java.sun.com/j2ee/verified/packaging.html and J2EE platform spec section #8.2.
Hope this helps,

How to load a Jar file in the class path?
How to load a Jar file which contains class files, images, etc.. in the classpath without using URLClassLoader.
You don't "load" jars. If it's on the classpath, you can obtain individual resources from it using various methods on either Class or ClassLoader. Do you mean "how to add a jar to the classpath at runtime"? Can't be done without using a classloader, typically URLClassLoader or a subclass thereof. Why you want to not use the proven method is beyond me. Presumably because you don't understand classloading. In which case, forget it.

How to make a jar file downloadable with IE
hello,
I just bought a website:
http://www.frozenfountain.net/
and I put a jar file on it called Logo.jar
Using Mozilla, the jar file downloads as expected, but with Internet Explorer, it tries to download it as .zip file.
How do I get it to download as a .jar file with IE?
thanksJust post a link to the Jar. Mozilla will download
it as a jar. Windows will download it as a zip.
Only one link. No problem, really. ;-)There is a problem. People who arent as good with computers as you are won't know how to run the jar file after downloading with IE.
At school, I told someone to download the file, which they did with IE. It downloaded to desktop as a zip. They extracted and were left with a bunch of .class files.

How to run a JAR file in Unix system?

jar cvfm foo.jar manif.txt foo.class
I hope that helps you!

How to import a jar file in JSP
How to import a Jar file in JSP Page.
please reply its very urgent!Hey I am facing a similar problem:
I have this jar file lbswebservice.jar that I have to use for my application.
I added it to the classpath, I copied it in my WEB-INF/lib folder, but when I try to access classes in this package, it doesnt work.
For example the jar contains the package com.blipsystems.lbs.ws.messages.* ; that contains different classes, like the Campaign class.
I tried to use this class (just to create an object) in different context (through jsp, or just through java test classes), but it never works, i get the error: com.blipsystems.lbs.ws.messages.Campaign cannot be resolved to a type

How to refer a .jar file in the code.
How to refer a .jar file in the code.
I want to use a library dnsjava.jar, which I download from the internet. I want to know how to refer it
If I am compiling the code on Solaris
If I compiling the code on windows using eclipse.
I added the following line in my code to refer to this library. But it always complains of not found the class
import org.xbill.DNS.*;
I tried the following to add this library but did not work
On eclipse/windows: Went to window-> preferences -> BuildPath _> class path Variable.
On Solaris: Could not add this library /opt/java_reference/v1.6.0_04/jre/lib. Although I am logged in as root, but not able to add the library there. Complains of Permission denied.Set the classpath option when compiling.
javac -classpath /path/to/lib/dnsjava.jar YourProgram.java
I don't use Eclipse, but it probably has a library list on your project preferences. Add it there.
