How to see video processes in Leopard?

HI there,
I posted question with Skype video not there or freezing problems 2 days ago. Bunch of people saw the post but nobody even commented on solution.
Let's change approach. Where in Leopard 10.6.8 can I see running processes, or something interfering with iSight camera being engaged in Skype video call?
I have theory that some other process in my Mac is trying to use camera and that freezes existing video. My theory has a problem since on my other iMac video never starts. Spinning white wheel is there forever, for duration of conversation.
Any suggestions?

How to see services/processes (not Apps) that are currently running?
For those unfamiliar with the terminology, a service is the same as an application,
only it doesn't have a user interface. Process, the same.
Even when you kill all your applications, many processes are necessarily kept
running, such as those for the phone UI or telephony. I want to see which.
For example, I am suspecting that Battery Monitor application installs a service
to log usage data and that this service runs constantly.
I'd like to see some advanced task manager or something similar, that would
allow me to see all running processes.
I had such apps on Android. Are they available fro Symbian?
    N8 / RM-596

This is the first fully compatible one that springs to my mind:

    Y tasks may also work:

  • How to see OBIEE processes status using OPMN

    Hi All,
I installed obiee 11g on windows server 2003 64 bit, all my processes are up and running as I look into the Fusion middleware console. I was trying to see the status through OPMN. I tried access the opmn by going into the folder
    Middlewarehome\instances\instance1\bin
I double clicked opmnctl windows batch file but nothing comes on the screen. I don't see any black window coming up and showing me the status of all the obiee processes running, I notice that clicking opmnctl launches a black window but it goes away within seconds ?
Can anybody please tell me how to see my system components using opmnctl?
    Thanks,
    Ronny

    Hi,
Try to run CMD prompt and change the Drive to opmn and run the command like this,
    D:\Oracle\Middleware\instances\instance1\bin>opmnctl status

  • How to see video 16:9?

Hi all, using Flash Player v. 10.1.82.72 on this site: http://http://www.freddynietzsche.com/2009/11/18/quella-stronzata-della-musica-dautore/ I see the second video in a 'compressed' size. How to see it right? Thanks

http://http://www.freddynietzsche.com/2009/11/18/quella-stronzata-della-musica-dautore/ is the link correctly copied, but actually I can't open it. I don't know how the video was created, but for sure it's compressed at the sides. I'm asking if it's possible to stretch the image in Flah Player so to have the right proportions. I know that, using other player this is possible. May I save the videos on my desktop -and how- and see them with other players? Thank you

  • How to see what processes are using my memory?

I recently added more RAM to my system and I always keep Activity Monitor running with the memory usage icon on the Dock to see how much Lion and my programs use.
I noticed that even several CS5 programs running at the same time won't use that much, the program I've seen uses the most is Aperture, using anywhere from 500MB on start to 2.5GB while viewing--not editing--photos.
My questions is, when my system is running normally it uses from a quarter to half the total memory available but just now it's using more than three quarters and it's running not even half programs I use everyday. I quickly added up the memory being used and it's just missing out A LOT. I'm adding a screenshot of Activity Monitor for you to see.
I now that restarting the system (or by using the purge command in Terminal) will free up memory but this really puzzles me and I'd really like to know what's happening--BTW, even though several GB are missing, the computer is nowhere nears slow, at least.
Where are all the other processes using the rest of the memory?
I'm using OS X 10.7.3 Server with 16GB of RAM on an iMac.
    Thanks for all your help,
    Gustavo.

You will never be able to get those numbers to add up.  This topic has come up before.  Examples:
    Memory used by unknown processes
    Where is my memory?
And others.  You cannot use the numbers in that display to add up.  Even doing top in terminal produces conflicting numbers.  Many process are dynamic and may be missed in these displays.
FWIW, here's an apple article on the Activity Monitor memory display:
Using Activity Monitor to read System Memory and determine how much RAM is being used
Editorial: In my opinion I do not recommend always running Activity Monitor (or top).  The constant poling and display does have some affect on performance and cpu utilization.  That's why it always usually appears near the top of the process list when sorted by percent cpu unless really outweighed by something much bigger.

  • How to see video on Quicktime?

When I got my Mac recently, it came with Quicktime. With updates my version is 7.0.4. Many times when I open videos in my brower (i.e Safari), the smaller Quicktime player will open and I can hear the audio but cannot see the video.
Am I missing some type of codec? If so, where can this be obtained?
    Thanks

Yes, you have the correct plug-in and if you wish you could re-install Windows Media Player 9 so that it will also install the WMP plug ins as well (which you may then selectively enable and disable from the Flip4Mac pref pane.) Whichever plug-in is enabled will dictate which player handles the media. You could also manually download a file and drag it to either player icon in the dock or in the Finder. You could also manually enter the URL for a file in either WMP or QuickTime (or MPlayer, or VLC and so on.)
    WMP is here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/mac/otherproducts/otherproducts.aspx?pid=windowsmedia
Unfortunately, you should not expect every video to play -period-. Neither Windows Media Player -nor- Flip4Mac supports every possible codec for the video and audio within all WMV files... this is also true on Windows itself although typically one can download codecs for Windows which will then allow the Windows version of Media Player to support each format of video and audio. Not all codecs are available on the Mac - predominantly due to the fact that the companies who hold the copyrights for the codecs don't release them all for every platform (Mac, Windows et al, Unix, Linux etc.)
There are alternatives which may play some (but again, not all) of the unuspported types of video and audio. MPlayer, VLC and NicePlayer with the Xine plug-in are the most powerful of the alternatives to QuickTime and all are free. (You should also have RealPlayer because again, they have not made codecs available for use in QuickTime or Windows Media Player and so on...)
I don't use the WMV Player icon from Flip4Mac at all. I have associated all the corresponding file extensions (and the somewhat more cryptic type and creator codes) with QuickTime Player itself and thus have no need for the little green icon in the dock. I'm not entirely sure what they mean by "re_associate a Windows Media file with Quicktime Player" - certainly dragging a wmv file to the WMV Player icon will launch it in QuickTime but perhaps they are also changing the type and creator code of the file itself so that it will be handled by QuickTime automatically in the future.

  • How to see video from share photo stream?

Since iOS 7, we can share videos in shared photo stream from our iDevices. It is working fine on iPhones and iPads. And I was expecting to see this appearing with the new firmware of the Apple TV.
But no. The videos are invisible!
I even created a brand new stream just for videos. The stream appear on the Apple TV, but it is empty.
    Is it normal??
My Apple TV is a 3rd generation model.
I am also expecting to see them in a future upgrade of iPhoto and Aperture....

Reply to myself to help others... maybe.
I found out that if you create a brand new photo stream on your iPhone, put videos in and then you go on your Apple TV, then the videos will appear. But the videos on already existing streams are still invisible.
But I found a fix for that to. Go in your Apple TV setting and disconnect from your iCloud account. Connect again and then go back to the photo application... wait...wait...wait... a long time and then bingo! They appear!!!
I think it is still a bug, but at least there is a workaround now.
Ok now waiting for an iPhoto and Aperture update....

  • Camileo P10 - How to see videos in HD quality?

    Hey
My HD camcorder Camileo P10 does record in HD, but when i play the recording in my media player in windows 7, it looks like an old VHS tape.
I have tried many media players, like winamp, quicktime and a VLC player, but all the same.
How come i can get it to show HD quality film ???
    regards
    Brian

    Hi buddy,
Have you set HD recording format on camcorder? I ask this because Camileo P10 can also record in QVGA resolution and this looks like old VHS resolution.
Furthermore on computer make a right click on a video file of Camileo P10 and select Properties. Then choose Details tab and check the frame width (e. g. 1280) and Frame height (e. g. 720).
This would be HD resolution and FHD resolution is 1920x1080.

  • How to see our processchain

    HI all,
How to see our process chain in sm37?
    Regrds...

<b>Some ways to see your chain in SM37</b>
1.SM37---Click on the <b>JOBLOG</b> button. It will give you the technical name of the Process Chain. Also if some variants like DTPs etc are inactive it will give you proper message in that case. This is possible if in your system you have created that job and associated with the Process Chain or you are running your chain using some ABAP program.
2.Put your cursor on any job which is running for a Process Chain.Click on <b>Step</b> button--
In the next screen--put mouse on the Program name >click <b>on GOTO>Variant</b> it will give you the name of the Process Chain.
3.Normally ,when you execute a process Chain it creates a job as  BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER.So whenever you execute your chain go to sm37 see the active job.If its BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER, then go to by the method 2 listed above(using STEP,GOTO-->VARIANT).
Just to inform you that ,in SM37 you can't see how the  chain is running. You can only see what is the status of its associated job.Whether the job has finished or is running or has failed and how much time that particulur job had taken.
The best Place to view all this is in the LOGVIEW of RSPC.

  • Installed Security Update 2013-003 & now cannot see video

Installed Security Update 2013-003 & now cannot see video.
    Snow Leopard.
Corrected problem by updating Adobe Flash~ even though I just updated it two days ago~ but that solved the problem.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Security Update 2013-003 is available for Snow Leopard, Lion and Mountain Lion. You can download the Snow Leopard version > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1670
You don't have enough space to install the update, so you have to delete things from the hard drive or move them to an external drive. See > http://thexlab.com/faqs/freeingspace.html

  • How do i see video clips already imported in to an event?

How do i see video clips already imported in to an event?
I have already created and shared one movie project from the clips and from photos but now want to make another. However, when i go to the library it only shows me the content of the first project, including the photos, not all of the video clips i originally imported. I can't believe that I need to import them all again.

It seems to me that you must have imported your clips using iMovie 9, (that's why they are all in the Events folder which belongs to iMovie 9).  Then you must have upgraded your current project to iMovie 10 which will have put the clips used in that project (but not all the others) into your iMovie 10 library.  iMovie 10 has a totally different storage arrangement for media.  You should be able to update your other iMovie 9 projects by choosing File > Update Projects  and Events in iMovie 10.  See: http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.0.8/#/mov902ad0c31
This does not stop you from continuing to use the projects in iMovie 9 though any further editing you do will not be transferred to the other version of iMovie.

  • How to see flash player videos?

How to see flash player videos? When I try it, I get an error message ...Thanks for your help

Flash is not supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/
Depending on what sites you are trying to access, you might find that some of them (probably more so if they are news sites) have their own apps in the App Store which might let you get some of the content that you want (and there is the built-in YouTube app). Also there are browsers such as Skyfire which 'work' on some sites - but judging by the reviews not all sites. If you want to play flash games then you are probably out of luck if you want to play on-line though the iSwifter app might work on some of them, but again some flash games have app versions in the store.

  • How to see youtube video ?

How is possibile to see video on youtube Winehouse iPad ?

    Roxy61-
When I access YouTube using Safari, it automatically switches to the YouTube App when I attempt to play a video.
Some videos on YouTube use "Flash", and are not compatible with the iPad.  If that is the case, you may be able to find another browser App at the iTunes App store, that claims to play Flash videos.  However, I understand they do not work very well.
