How to select multiple objects in the layerpanel?

Hi everybody, I have this enoying problem:
I want to select a few paths in the layerpanel by NOT clicken on every one.
So for example I have the following structure:
Layer 01
     path01
     path02
     path03
     path04
     path05
     path06
     path07
     path08
     path09
     path10
And I want to activate path03 to path09 for further modifications - I would have to select every single path by clicking on it in the Target column.
Is there a faster way like selecting path03 and than holding the Shift-key and selecting path09 ? <- (This obvious solution doesn't work)

I found an odd work around
I know you but ther is more to it so read on.
shift select the paths you want in the layers and the to skip one or more pths option/alt select and to continue of course use the shift key again.
Onece you have all the pthas you want from the layers panel flyout Options for Selection. Check lock.
The Object>Unlock All , it will only unlock the selected items you just locked and they will then be slected on the canvas as well.
Here is a couple of screen shots notice the locked layer stays locked and unselected in both the layers panel and on the canvas,

I have used all the steps as you mentioned in your previous reply....including checking Mulitple Selection Check Box..
Iam able to get the results when I am selecting one value..
and also I am able to handle multiple values the in the query by using IN :Parameter, but seems when we select more than one value from the parameter drop down i think the Bi Publisher is sending the values in concatenated form something ilke
ex: "'ACCOUNT','HR','SALES'" ,and when trying to display the parameters values in the output, its throwing the error as 'missing right paranthesis' ....on the whole do you have any solution which would handle
1.Single selection.
2.Multiple selection.
3.'ALL' Values.
4.Separating the concatenated string into individual strings and dispaly them on the output of the report..etc..in case of Mulitple selection.
Ex:
Concatenated String from BI Publisher:"'ACCOUNT','HR','SALES'"
Expected Output on the report:ACCOUNT,HR,SALES

How to select multiple values from the Parameters defined in the concurrent program...and i believe multiple selection is not a direct feature of EBS, but is there any workaround solution to acheive mulitple selection?

I think there's no way to do that using standard feature.
Some workaround I use :
1. If the number of selections are fixed, you could use multiple parameters for the same valueset. For example :
Selection1 : <choose first selection>
Selection2: <choose 2nd selection>
..etc.
If you don't use it then leave it empty.
2. Use text varchar valueset and enter it manually and separate by comma (or other value) , eg : selection1,selection2,selection3....etc.

How to select multiple addresses from the contacts list to send an email?

How do I select multiple addresses from the contacts list at one time to send an email. Each time I select one, the address book closes and I have to touch the "+" key to open it back to select another address. Is there a way to select all of them at one time instead of making a group? Thanks.

Yes, once you select a person from your Contacts app, you either need to select more from the '+' button or you can tap in the 'to:' field and type in the first few letters of a contact and select from the list. Kinda bummer but gotta make do.

Displaying an ALV list in a popup is by no means different from a list displayed on a main screen. The only thing you need to consider is that you set the right screen level when creating the parent container for the ALV.

How to select multiple objects for left- or right-edge align?

Hello all,
This is my first day using indesign so hopefully this is an extremely basic question, but I haven't been able to find the answer anywhere online yet.
Let's say you have a page full of objects and you want to align only a few of them to the same right- or left- edge, without affecting the others.
You select just the ones you want to align by clicking while holding shift, correct?
But then a box appears around all of them, which means you can no longer align them to each other's edges because (I think) it's seeing the box as already aligned.
Please let me know if you see what I'm doing wrong and how to do it better.

It's not seeing them as aligned, it's just showing you the bounds of all selected items. They will align. Another little trick is (after all are selected with the shift key) click once on the edge of the one you want them to align to. It will get a bolder outline, stay where it is, and will become the guide for aligning the others.

I have a tree structure which is in the table.When I open the node of the tree,all the subnodes are coming as one-one records in the table.I want to slect multiple record from this table.I applied onLeadSelect for this table,I can select only 1 record from the table.
Can any one plz suggest me how to select multiple records from the table so that I can get all the data of those selected record.

In my case, there is a table structure which has to be updated with values after validating a key. i don't think there is any RFC available now. do i need to create bapi/rfc for that?

Is there a way to shift select multiple objects in layer palette, not just highlight multiple objects?
I would want to do this when I have a bunch of objects hidden under some other objects on the artboard. This feature is available in PSD, so I assume Illustrator should have it.

I'm using CS4 & below.
Highlighting object - click on object in layers palette & it turns blue
Select object - click on object in layers palette to the right of the circle, which creates a square, and selects the object on the artboard
How do I shift-select multiple objects in the layers palette...select 50 objects with a click, then a shift-click? Shift-select works for highlighting, but not selecting. On most programs shift-select is used to grab a bunch of stuff...:0)
In the past I have inadvertently selected multiple objects in the layers palette, by somehow alt?-dragging over the layers...or something...I can't re-create it.

Selecting multiple objects with Direct Select tool

I'm working in InDesign CS4 on a pc and am having trouble with the Direct select tool. I go through my document selecting multiple objects, change the color of the selected boxes only to find that about half of my objects have "deselected" themselves. Has anyone else had this problem? Are you being careful to click inside each object other than an image and on the frame for an image? Yes

I cannot select multiple objects.

I cannot select multiple objects within the file I'm currently working on. This has worked in the past. Have I inadvertently changed a setting?

Are you trying to select via Shift+click? If yes, try selecting items in Layers Panel and from the fly-out menu, choose Select items and see if it works.

In Illustrator, group the objects that you want to punch through, and use the transparency pallet.

How can I select multiple clips in the event browser?

I can't seem to figure out how to do something that should be pretty simple. I want to select multiple clips in the event browser that aren't next to each other. Right now it's only letting me select the two clips with every other clip in between. Is there a keyboard function that will allow me to deselect the clips in between while leaving the two on the outside selected? In Apple's finder you can do this with files by holding down shift-command while clicking on the ones you want. Or is there away to rearrange clips in the event browswer?
I'd like to be able to create a multicam clip, but there is always going to be other media in between the clips I want to combine, so how can I select only the clips I want?

Holding the Command key should let you select non-contiguous items, just as in the Finder.

Are you trying to add more users or groups through Group Policy Management Security Filtering tab?
Try right clicking on the policy and then edit
Then in Editor Right click on the name of the policy and Properties
Security tab and add user or group from this tab. Just make sure if you are adding user or groups "Select this object type" has
the correct option also "From this Location" is set to your entire directory not the local server.

Selecting Multiple Objects with Output Preview Causing Problems

I'm trying to edit a PDF and need to select multiple objects. Without Output Preview open, I can easily select all the items I need using the shift key. With Output Preview open, whenever I try to select the second object, Output Preview creates a sticky note, instead of selecting the second object.
I am also using the PitStop Pro plug-in.
Any idea how to correct this problem? Thanks!

Unfortunately it seems that the new sticky note feature with the output preview in Acrobat XI uses the same keyboard shortcut as multiple selection tool in Pitstop (shift).
Closing the output preview is the easiest way to get around this issue.
We could consider changing the key for multiple selection in PitStop, but 'shift' is pretty much a default, so what could we change it too?
If anyone has any thoughts could they email me, I am the product manager responsible for Pitstop at Enfocus and my email is '[email protected]'
