How to select shape?

I published to .mac using iWeb. It was easy to do. I have edited the page and re-published it and that was easy to do.
NOW THE PROBLEM: I added a shape to the web page. Fine. Then when I added more text to the page, the shape was in the wrong location. I thought I could just select the shape and move it to new correct location.
But NO! I cannot select the shape. I click all over the page and all I get is the text insertion cursor. What do I need to do in order to select the shape?
Please help! My web page looks idiotic with this goofy shape in the wrong place!

Thank you. Yes, my schedule is on this page. The rounded rectangle used to be behind the words "2007 Workshop Schedule." I added more text today which moved the words down. So now the shape is behind the wrong text.

I appreciate your suggestion, however when I click and drag I simply highlight a bunch of text. Nothing moves.
Wait! WAIT! I just tried it again and the text moved! I was able to grab a piece of the shape and move it! Wow --thanks so much!

Please help -- how to select shape in background?

Hello,
I made a rectangle shape and sent it to the background so that it would be behind my text. Now I cannot select it to get rid of it! Clicking anywhere just selects the table cells that overlay everything. How do I select my shape? I looked in the manual and searched here and cannot find an answer.

Hi Bob,
Unlike Pages, Numbers does not provide for placing objects "in the Background." It does allow placing objects behind or in front of other objects (Bring Forward, Bring to Front, Send Backward, Send to Back), but this is not the same as placing them 'in the background."
So your Shape object is "behind" the Table object, and can be seen through, but not selected through the table.
You can, however, select both objects, then de-select the ones you don't want to include in the selection.
Here's the process:
• If there is no place on the document where you can click on the sheet without selecting something, you need to first make yourself a bit of space.
- *Click on the icon of the table in the Sheets list to select the table*, then press shift-right arrow three times to move the table to the right, OR press shift-down arrow to move the table downward. Do whichever whichever opens space (left of or above the table) which is convenient for the steps that follow.
• Click in the open space and drag a selection rectangle toward the shape. Each object in the path will be selected as the rectangle touches it. Stop when the shape is added to the selection.
• command-click on each object you do not want to include in the selection.
• When the shape you want to remove is the only object included in the selection, press delete.
• If you started by moving the table, reselect it, and use shift-left arrow or shift-up arrow (three times) to return the table to its original position.

I'm new to Mac operating system. Can anyone tell me how to select multiple images in cs6 photoshop? Without having to hold down a shift or cmd key and clicking on each one.

I assume you are using the Shape tool to draw your hexagons. After you drag out the shape, use the Transform controls to tweak the size, so that the width is evenly divisible by 4, and the height is an even number. If you wand a gap between shapes, include that in your adjustments. Make a note of the new width and height.
Once the scaling is committed and the shape is selected, Control+Alt+T to Free Transform Copy, and in the Option Bar, set the X and Y to Relative. Set X to zero, and Y to the height you set earlier, and commit the Transform. Then Repeatedly press Shift+Control+Alt+T to make more transformed copies.
With a vertical column of shapes, Alt-Click on the Shape Path in the Paths panel to select the whole path. Control+Alt+T again. This time, again using relative, set X to three-quarters of the width you noted earlier, and Y to one-half the height, and commit
Finally, again Alt-click on the Shape Path in the Paths panel, and Transform Copy relative with X = one and a half times the width you noted, and Y to zero. After committing this, Shift+Control+Alt+T as above to extend more columns.
And JJ, those are Octagons .

How to copy Shape from illustrator CC to Photoshop CC?

I want to cope Shape from illustrator CC to Photoshop CC, however I found when I copy the Shape from illustrator and paste it in Photoshop, the style of Shape has changed. like the color changed to the foreground color of Photoshop , and the stroke also lost.
I want to keep the style as the same as in illustrator , what should I need to do ?

when you paste into photoshop, you should get some options as to what you want photoshop to import the shape as. if you select 'shape layer' you get the result you describe (a shape masking the foreground colour). choose one of the other options, depending on how you're going to use it.

In PS i can Magic wand selection shape from one layer, drop to sub layer and copy that selected shape from that sub layer. How do I do this in illistrator, and moreover, from multiple layer at the same time.

The art is so simple to recreate in Ai if it took you more than fifteen minutes I would be surprised. Easy enough to make the house and then and the path to be filled as the shaped color field it sits on, us the pen tool or use the shape tools and the pathfinder.
The typ is easy enough with the text tool.

I have used all the steps as you mentioned in your previous reply....including checking Mulitple Selection Check Box..
Iam able to get the results when I am selecting one value..
and also I am able to handle multiple values the in the query by using IN :Parameter, but seems when we select more than one value from the parameter drop down i think the Bi Publisher is sending the values in concatenated form something ilke
ex: "'ACCOUNT','HR','SALES'" ,and when trying to display the parameters values in the output, its throwing the error as 'missing right paranthesis' ....on the whole do you have any solution which would handle
1.Single selection.
2.Multiple selection.
3.'ALL' Values.
4.Separating the concatenated string into individual strings and dispaly them on the output of the report..etc..in case of Mulitple selection.
Ex:
Concatenated String from BI Publisher:"'ACCOUNT','HR','SALES'"
Expected Output on the report:ACCOUNT,HR,SALES

How to select multiple values from the Parameters defined in the concurrent program...and i believe multiple selection is not a direct feature of EBS, but is there any workaround solution to acheive mulitple selection?

I think there's no way to do that using standard feature.
Some workaround I use :
1. If the number of selections are fixed, you could use multiple parameters for the same valueset. For example :
Selection1 : <choose first selection>
Selection2: <choose 2nd selection>
..etc.
If you don't use it then leave it empty.
2. Use text varchar valueset and enter it manually and separate by comma (or other value) , eg : selection1,selection2,selection3....etc.

in layout structure you will find field SEL_MODE
pass :
LS_LAYOUT-SEL_MODE = 'A'.
In PAI.
CALL METHOD GRID->GET_SELECTED_ROWS
    IMPORTING
      ET_INDEX_ROWS = T_ROWS
      ET_ROW_NO     = T_ROWID.

How to select all the colomns_names from a table, with their datatypes ..

i would like to know, how to select in SQL all the columns names from a table with their datatypes so that i get something like this :
Table 1 : table_name
the column ID has the Datatype NUMBER
the column name has the Datatype Varchar2
Table 2 : table_name
the column check has the Datatype NUMBER
the column air has the Datatype Varchar2
and that has to be for all the tables that i own ! ..
P. S : i m trying to do this with java, so it s would be enough if you just tell me how to select all the tables_names with all their colums_names and with all their datatypes ! ..

Hi,
The data dictionary view USER_TAB_COLUMNS has one row for every column in every table in your schema. The columns TABLE_NAME, COLUMN_NAME and DATA_TYPE have all the information you need.
Another data dictionary view, USER_TABLES, may be useful, too. It has one row pre table.

Displaying an ALV list in a popup is by no means different from a list displayed on a main screen. The only thing you need to consider is that you set the right screen level when creating the parent container for the ALV.
For more details refer to thread in CL_GUI_SPLITTER_CONTAINER ALV list is not show in called screen
