How to send a mail from a PL/SQL-block in Apex

Hi, I am using Apex 3.0. On a page in my application users are fill out some fields, and clicking a button Apex inserts a new record in an table processing a PL/SQL-block.
I would like to add "something" in this block so that Apex every time when it adds a new reord, also sends a mail to some people to inform them....
A short e-mail: sender:...... receiver..... subject: New record, Text: New record was added
Is that possible??Thx

Apex has an API for sending emails: APEX_MAIL, you will need to have an SMTP server for this.
Have a look in the user_guid, you will find what you need there.

What method are you using to send email from your form now? If you are using UTL_SMTP, you can set the MIME_TYPE = 'HTML' as Francois suggests. If you are using an OLE call to Outlook or a email JavaBean? The method you use to send email will dictate how you send Rich Text/HTML email messages.

Additionally, it would be quite helpful if you would post the results of running the code you posted. You've given no indication whether there is an error, what error might be generated, whether you're not seeing the expected behavior, whether the code crashes your system, etc. That leaves us to guess about what problems you might have between syntax errors, permission problems, configuration problems on the database, configuration problems on the SMTP server, operating system problems, network problems (the list goes on).

With SCOT you can configure the SAPConnect administration.
You can easily configure your SAP system to allow the send of email from SAP to your mail server.
Exemple :
1. SID SAP : DL1

3. Target email : "myeamailaddress"
Send email process 01 : 1. DL1 ==> 2. Mail Server ==> 3. You read your email in your inbox "myeamailaddress"
My problem :
From my inbox "myeamailaddress", I want to be able to send email to SAP (Dl1).
Send email process 02 : 1. My inbox "myeamailaddress" ==> 2. Mail Server ==> 3. SAP (DL1).
Question :

I do not have a specifi technical problem.
Let's summarize - my request concerns a SRM Workflow :
I am ordering an article. When the order is higher than 2'000 USD, I need to get the approval of my manager.
That's the workflow.
Workflow :
1. I am user in DL1 SAP System.
    UserName : CharlesN
    In SU01,
    charles(a)green.com
2. From DL1 SAP system, I order articles. The order total amount is higher than 2'000 USD.
    In the workflow, an mail from DL1 is automatically send to my manager in his MS-Outook inbox.
    (manager(a)green.com)
3. My manager reads the mail I have sent him and give his approvals by clicking on a approvals button.
    When clicking the button, an mail must be automatically send from my manager MS-Outlook inbox
    to DL1 to CharlesN inbox in SBWP in DL1 SAP system.
I have configured SCOT and read OSS Note 455140.
The SAPconnect virtual host is activated in DL1 (SICF).
I think a miss a step in our mail server to relay a mail from MS-Outlook to my SAP system.
Any suggestion is welcome.

As you want to send to around 200 customers then maintain a condition record with the combination of Output medium 7 in the Output medium field
Second Option is Go to VA02 -> Edit -> Editor to reach the SAPscript Editor and then come back to the header output data and then The system sends the electronic mail at the time you have specified in the timing data..

1 You want the rest of the code not to execute, SO all code should be in one anonymous block.
The scope of exceptions is one block.
2 If you want to suppress
- suppress the 'DECLARE' and '*' lines from appearing in the script output;you should not use raise_application_error, because this is how raise_application_error works.
- whenever you raise an exception, the return code will be non-zero.
The code you posted is really very poor, and inefficient, but as it is unclear what you are up to (you seem to want to skip executing everything when there are any indexes, if so you can just count them), it is not possible to provide working code.
If you want to skip the rest of the code, you can declare your own exceptions, and you should just raise your own exception and the block will abort.

How to send a Mail from a Query executed in a BatchJob ?

Hi All,
at Valorec we use SAP ECC 6.0 (EHP 4) and have created some Query's. When executing a Query via the GUI you have the possibility to send the result to a Mail account. (List -> Send to -> E-Mail).
I would like to start a query in a Batch-Job but sending the generated list to one or more Mail accounts. I hope (and believe) this function is possible but I do not know how.

You need to write some ABAP in your Infoset.

To send email per list fields or someone specific, you could associate a workflow to this list, and add Send an Email action in the workflow.
If this is not what you really mean, please provide more explanation about your requirement? I’m not quite sure about:
