How to send a new text message without appending it to a previous message to the intended recipient

I have a new iPhone 5c with IOS 7. When I try to send a new text message to my sister, the new message is appended to an old one I sent her. I do not want to delete the old one, but I don't want the new message tied to the old one. How might I get around this?

It is the latter (it's in the same thread), so I guess you have answered my question, which means I must delete the previous thread. As to why I would want to retain the old thread; (1) I might want to discuss two totally different topics over the same interval of time, or (2) I possibly need to retain some of the info in the older thread for reference, such as email address, phone number, etc. I am new to not only Apple, but smart phones in general. I guess there is a way to archive old threads (icloud, etc.), but I was hoping that not necessary for relatively new threads that might still be active. At any rate, I guess I can quit chasing the wind by hoping to retain the old messages while entertaining a new one with the same recipent. Thanks for your help.

You can use iCloud:
Step 1. Log into www.icloud.com using your Apple ID.
Step 2. Click on Contacts and then click the groups ribbon (the red icon with two people) which is on the left-hand page when viewing All Contacts.
Step 3. The left page changes to a list of Groups (only those groups stored in iCloud are shown). Click the + button at the bottom to add a new group.
Step 4. Type a name for the new group and press Enter to save it. To change it after this, double-click its entry in the groups list.
Step 5. To add contacts to the new group, click on the All Contacts group and locate the first person to be added (you can use the search bar to find them quickly).
Step 6. Drag their name on top of the new group and drop it to add it to that group.
Step 7. To add more contacts, repeat steps 5 and 6, but you can add multiple contacts at once by pressing Ctrl (on a PC) or Command (on a Mac) and clicking on each contact in the list that you wish to select. Then, drag one of the highlighted names to the new group and they will all be added.
It's possible to add names to more than one group, and you can create as many groups as you like.
Step 8. Launch the Contacts app on your device (iPhone, iPod touch or iPad) and you should see the new group appear almost immediately - as long as you have an internet connection.
Until Apple builds in a function to create groups directly within the Contacts app, this is the best way to do it.

When i go to send a new text, the text field isn't blank. There is already text entered in the message body.

There is already text entered in the message body that I have to go in and delete before typing my new text. this prevents me from forwarding anything through text because if I get something I wish to forward, selecting forward as an option always brings up the same junk just like when trying to send a new message. How can i remedy this?

Here it goes -
1) Download iBackupBot: http://download.cnet.com/iBackupBot/3000-2141_4-10969873.html
2) Plug phone into computer and run backup
3) Use "Explorer" box to find Messages: HomeDomain/Library/SMS/Drafts/(null).draft/
4) In "Null Drafts" there is a file "message.plist"
5) Double click to open, (cancel the popup if you did not purchase the iBackupBot) and you will see the prepopulating message on the <string> line 6
6) Delete the offending text, leave all code
7) Close text editor
8) Right click on message.plist file and select "Restore selected item(s) to device"
9) File will be restored to your phone and it will restart itself.
10) Voila! Now it is time to consider that Windows phone....:)

This sounds like it is about Window positions.
iChat has Default places for Incoming Invites.
Video is always top Center of your Screen
Audio and Text chats are Upper right with the Audio slightly lower than Text Chats.
Secondary invites are sort of Stacked like when you open multiple files from the same App.
Your outgoing Windows are "Remembered" as to where the last one was when you used it.
This can be an issue if you use your Mac with a second display and turn Off Mirroring.
You windows can get "left" on the other screen.
Go to System Preferences > Displays and turn On Mirroring and the windows should come back to one Screen/display.
If this does not help go to your Home Folder/Library/Preferences and delete (Drag to Trash) com.apple.ichat.plist and restart iChat.
Unfortunately you will need to reset any iChat Preferences you have changed from defaults.

I think you can setup the type of email in Shared office Settings in transaction S016.
There is an option called <Preset document classes>
You choose this pushbutton to branch to the maintenance screen for the document classes that are directly displayed to users in the Business Workplace for selection when they use the Create function. The name under which the documents are displayed can also be maintained.

I believe you are referring to thumbnail image rectangles as customers on page ? not exactly customer database ?
You can add rectangle with different effects with mouse rollover state and regarding adding new ones , you would need to do that manually in design mode .

How do I organize my Emails Sent by the intended recipient instead of me?

On the emails Sent page, the first column identifies Me as the sender.
I already know that.
I would like to change this obvious reference from Me to the intended recipient.
This would make it easier to identify and select Sent Emails by their Recipient.

How to send a picture text message

New to the iphone but was always able to send a picture text message to anyone including my verizon friends with a LG phone worked great. However with the new iphone I try to send a text message with a picture and nobody receives it. Then I get a reply back that the attachment has been removed??? I don't want it as an attachment but a simple picture msg.

The easiest way is opening up a message to the desired person and hitting the camera icon to the left of the message bar, where you will be prompted to pick one from your camera roll or take a new one.
You can also choose a current picture from your roll and select "MMS" when pressing the new message icon (arrow and a rectangle) in the corner of the screen.
If neither of these ways are working, check settings > messages > and make sure "MMS Messaging" is enabled.
If you still receive this error double check your AT&T account to ensure that your plan allows for MMS messaging.

I have a Nokia 2760 and it sends quite often SMS (no text included) without any interaction from me to somebody from my contact list. Who has the same behaviour? How can I fix that? Is another firmware available? If yes, where can I download and how can I install the software?

so your phone sends a message to somebody elses phone thats in your contact list and ,what is the issue with who has same behaviour?
does there phone do the same thing?
check your message settings ,look in message settings and tell me whats there.

hey thanks for responding. pasting through text edit works, but if i just copy from the quote block and paste in the top of the message body, it keeps the quote formatting. if i Paste as Quotation, then it double-quotes it--two side bars...
i guess part of the problem that i just realized, too, is that Mail must convert a message to rich text if you choose to quote text in a reply. because otherwise it could not possibly color the text, right? when i paste out of Mail and into Text Edit, the text color i saw in mail is preserved, meaning the text itself must contain formatting data (rich text).
is there no way to reply to a mail and include the previous message as a quote without switching to rich text?

Hi- my hard drive has totally failed and although I can get into disk utility it won't let me create images and keeps coming up with input/output errors when I try.
I don't have another mac to work from and have no discs whatsoever even for older OS versions
I've ordered a new hard drive(a seagate 750GB 7400rpm one) but how do I get mountain lion on the new hard drive without any discs? If I just put in my new hard drive will it come up with an option? I have a mid 2009 MBP if that helps

Here is how it helps:
You need the Utilities from Recovery_HD. Your broken Mac can boot from a Thumb drive.
Use this article to download this Utility to copy the Recovery_HD from your older, working Mac to a minimum 1GB USB thumb drive:
OS X: About Recovery Disk Assistant
Then boot the new mac with the thumb drive by holding down Alt/Option, wait wait wait while it draws an Icon for each bootable Volume, choose the Recovery_HD, choose proceed arrow, and use Disk Utility to erase the drive and create GUID partition Map, 1 partition, Mac OS X Extended (journaled). Then install Mac OS X by download.
