How to send data from 4 different data sources to one ODS

Hello Gurus,
There is a transaction called KSB1 in R/3.
It has data related to cost center , cost element, G/L .
In BI, i need to transfer the data from these Data sources to one ODS.
Can any body give me some idea.
Points will be awarded for any kind of response .

Hi Rupa..
In your requirement some data sources (Cost centre, Cost element) are master data sources.
They are available as info Objects in BI (Content).
So there is no need to create ODS on these.
But the general scenario for creating ODS from multiple data sources in case of Transaction documents
Like :
PO header, PO line items...
For this the Pre-requisite is to have common fields between these data sources (eg PONo).

How to require licence from a different serverUrl (not the one in DRMContentData)?

Hi guys
I have a special request for requiring the movie licence from a different serverUrl (not the one I get from DRMContentData.serverUrl). I tried DRMManager.setAuthenticationToken with the new url but it didn't work.
Does anybody know to do it or is it even possible to do it?

What is your particular workflow/use-case?
Unfortunately, the license server's URL is baked into the DRMContentData and cannot be modified once a video has been packaged. But, if you describe what problem you're attempting to solve, perhaps there is a different workaround.

How tocopy a CD from a different computer than the one I am synced to

My daughter got a Beyonce CD for Xmas. Her iPhone has its "synced" library on an iMac27 which do not come with a CD drive anymore.
So we go to our MBP and load the CD into iTunes there. Then connect her iPhone so we can transfer the CD onto it. But everytime time I try to do that I get the dreaded "You can only be synced to one iTUnes library - Do you want to erase your iPhone and sync to this machine" or something to do effect.
Well I don't want to sync to this computer. I just want to copy a CD onto her iPhone.
Why does iTunes insist on making the simplest little things so maddeningly complicated. All I want is a simple copy.
I have her iPhone set to Manually Manage Music and video on the iMac27 but when iTunes on the MBP says that it is set to Automatically Sync and when I try to change it to Manually Manage it says that it will erase all the contents of the iPhone.
This is sooooooooo irritating.

I do not have any idea on how to send data from internal table to the shared folder path.

Where that folder is located, its on presentation server i.e. desktop or application server.
If its on presentation server, use FM GUI_UPLOAD.
If its on application server, then use DATASET functions. Have a look at below link.

              1) RSTS_OPEN_RLC or RP_TS_OPEN: open the temse object
              2) RSTS_READ : read the object

How to send data to RFC Destination(RFC SENDER Adapter)

Scenario: R/3 Backendà RFC Sender Adapterà XIàsome other system.
I have configured the RFC destination (of the type TCP/IP) at R/3 System and have registered the Program ID (specified in the RFC destination) in the XI server and using it in the configuration parameters of the RFC Sender Adapter.
Problem: I do not know how I can send data to the RFC destination. (Should I use a report program/ ABAP Function Module?) Can anybody provide me with a sample code of Report Program/Function module (whichever is required), how to send data to the RFC Destination, so that it may be picked up by my RFC Sender Adapter.

I have one query for you that
I am trying to develop a scenario in SAP XI
SAP R/3 ( RFC function module) sends a synchronous request to the XI and SAP XI will send this request to a third party web application using HTTP receiver adapter.
I am able to send the data/message and it is successfully received at the third party web application.
But I am facing one issue that I am unable to receive any message/data in my RFC module back.i have seen in sxmb_moni that the two messages are displayed in successfuly processed but in SAP R/3 side nothing get happedned
Can you tell me how to use some waiting mechanism in function module to wait for the response from SAP XI.

How to send data back to publishing stream? I need to send data back to publishing stream.
Using NetStream.send() we can send data to subscribers but is it possible to send data from subscriber back to publisher using any NetStream method.
One other solution to this is remoteSharedObject, but if it is possible with NetStream class then let me know.

There are a number of ways to extract data from CRM On Demand including:
* Export - manual process, generate CSV file containing CRM On Demand data
* List/Analytics - manual process, export the contents of a report of list to a CSV
* Web Services - programmatic, develop an application that queries for data within CRMOD
* Integration Events - programmatic, use workflow to trigger event creation and then poll for events to know when an operation occurs on a record (i.e. Insert of new Account record)
As for getting that data into another system, that will depend on the system and the methods available for inserting data that it makes available.

In Designer, import your universe, click on File>Paramers or click on parameters icon on the tool bar and change connection used by the universe from one pointing to Universe A to one pointed to universe B.

How to define data-sources-alias.xml to use Oracle data source

I created Oracle jdbc Data Source named "MYDS" in Visual Admin. I added the alias = MYDS_ALIAS. I set the Initial Connection to 2. On the Monitor tab, I see a green line running across the screen. The datasource MYDS is connected to the Oracle.
Now, I would like to define "data-sources-alias.xml" to use MYDS.
When creating data-source-aliases.xml it creates the alias by default on ${com.sap.datasource.default} which is the default DB.
I followed the link --> How to point data-source-aliases.xml to another Datasource
and my data-sources-alias.xml is now:

Error Sending proxy from 2 different business system to PI

Hi All,
We are trying to send the proxy to XI system from 2 different business systems. One is ECC and other is POSDM, It is successfully sent from ECC but when sending the same from POSDM we are getting following error
"An error occurred when determining the business system (LD_ERROR)"
We checked the RFC SAPSLDAPI, LCRSAPRFC they are in place. We have also created the type H connection from POSDM pointing to PI and from PI pointing to POSDM.
And the In sxmb_adm of POSDM system the role is maintained as Application System and IS_URL parameter is pointing to PI, but still we are getting same error.
Could you all experts please provide you valuable input why this error is coming and how to resolve this?

Hi Soni,
check your config in sxmb_adm > Integration Engine Configuration. Also run S_BCE_68001402 and check for locked users.
Try refreshing the cache in SXI_CACHE in that system.
Check if u r executing the report in the same client in which u have done all the settings.
Also make sure that u have included the commit work statement after the Execute Asynchronous method call.

talking about key/value pairs required?
2. Having done step 1 ( which I was not able to do) , create a new DataSource
mapping to the connection pool created from step 1.
How to accomplish step 1 ? I want to finally connect to Oracle
database. Please help me.

DataSource will internally do that for you (It will use RMI internaly) . You
dont have to worry about the details of using RMI driver. Thats what is a
DataSource is for.

Now comes the problem.. what do put in properties text area?
I am talking about key/value pairs required?
2. Having done step 1 ( which I was not able to do) , create a
new DataSource mapping to the connection pool created from
step 1.
How to accomplish step 1 ? I want to finally connect to Oracle database. Please
