How to send Deadline Monitoring mails to an external mail (LOTUS NOTES)?

Hi all,
1. I know how to send Deadline Monitoring mail to an SAP INBOX. But i need to send the deadline monitoring mail to an external email address (LOTUS NOTES or any other email id).
2. If i am able to send Deadline monitoring mail to the external email address. It will send mail only once but, How to send these deadline monitoring mails for every 3 days until the approver takes some action.
Please help me...

The easy solution is to set up automatic forwarding for everyone by defining the system as NOT being your e-mail system. I don't know where this setting is (the Basis people did it), but with this setting SAP will forward every user's e-mail to the e-mail address in the user record.
For repeated sending I think you have to use modelled deadlines. Send the deadline message using a normal mail sending step and loop after calculating the new deadline. (i.e. you need to store the deadline in the container and refer to the container elements in your deadline specification.) The deadline calculation can either be a separate step or you can do it as a secondary method in the mail sending step.

we are using Lotus Notes and Crystal Reports for preview and printing reports from our Lotus Notes Applications. We use the RDC object model. For previewing the reports we export them in an pdf-file and then start the PDF Reader to show the Preview. This works fine.
But with Crystal Reports > 11 the RDC Object Model is no longer supportet, so we look for another way to preview and print our reports.
I try to preview a report build with crystal report XI release 2 in my thick client (Lotus Notes) using java reporting component JRC, this report uses an native xml file as datasource. If the datasource is saved with the report everything works fine, but otherwise I have the following error:
JRCAgent1 detected an exception: javax.xml.namespace.QName: method getPrefix()Ljava/lang/String; not found
I also tried the .jars from Crystal4Eclipse. Doesn't work. When I use Eclipse to view the report everything works fine. The class QName exitsts in the jaxrpc.jar and in the xbean.jar, but only in the xbean.jar a Methode getPrefix exists.
This is what we tried:
Works fine with RDC. Doesn't work with JRC until now.

Sending deadline monitoring mails....

Hi all,
I have created a workflow to send mail (user decision to approve or reject buttons) to an approver. If he doesnt respond to it till 3 days, a mail should be sent to his higer level person (say supervisor) and this supervisor should approver or reject the notification. If supervisor also doesnt take any action till 5 days a mail should be sent to the higer level person(manager) and manager should approve or reject the notification. This escalation goes on till 5 levels.
any suggestions and solutions would be very helpful.

hi gautham,
use modeled deadline monitoring for sending the email to higher level, and activate the processing obsolete option in the outcome tab of the activity so that the as soon as the deadline is missed the task disappears from his inbox. For using the same you go into latest end tab of the activity there you can make the required deadline monitoring, If you want to terminate the workflow automaticallly aftr it has been esclated to the 5th level and the deadline has been missed, you need to define a terminating event and attach the same in the modelled deadline branch of the activity at the 5th level.

I want to learn how to send pictures from my camera via e-mail but the CD asks me to log in as an administrator before I can download the handbook to tell me how to send pictures.

I need to know either how to connect my camera, a SONY SteadyShot DSC-W310 to my Dell laptop and then how to send pictures via my e-mail or else how to login as an administrator so I can download the handbook that came with my camera on a CD and hopefully find the answer there. I have a USB cord if that is needed and also another cord that has a split end with yellow and white ends on the split part. I am 80 years old and need simple language.

My requirement is to send a file from FTP to D3(External) server.
Now I am able to store the file in Appln server.
I want to send the file created by the program thru FTP to D3 server.
I know the username,Password,HostID,RFC destination details.
How to send the file from FTP to D3.
If u have any program,Plz send it...
I dont want the function modules name...I want the example code ....

Hi Sumi,
You could do it so that you create a .bat or .cmd script to your server which does your ftp transfer.
To do this you must use sm69 to create a external operating system command which you can call from FM SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE. To SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE you the file you need to transfer as a parameter.
What happens is that your abap program passes the file to windows batch script (.bat .cmd) which will then do the transfer for you.
Here's a sample of ftp-script for windows:
echo open IP_ADDRESS_TO_YOUR_SERVER > c:zftp_transfer.ftp
echo USERNAME>> c:zftp_transfer.ftp
echo PASSWORD>> c:zftp_transfer.ftp
echo put YOUR_FILE>> c:zftp_transfer.ftp

Ok, this might be a bit trivial but if your server is unix/aix etc.. Instead of using batch script you must do a shell script.

Sending Mail: To internal mail adress OK, external mail address KO

Hi everybody,
I guess this is no XI/PI problem, but I hope some of you had the same problems.
When we are using mail receiver adapter sending an internal mail is OK but if we use an external mail adresse like mister.sample@gmx. de the mail is not received.
We used different external mail adresses to obiate that the problem is not the external mail server.
We use inhause LOTUS NOTES.
The mail adapter uses the mail package.
Any ideas?

now its clear. musunderstanding. As I wrote: The message was already received by LOTUS NOTES. But it is not send to an external mail adress.

You might want to use the message type MLGR (mail at goods receipt), but
this message type will only work with the Message transmission medium 7
(SAPoffice) and the processing routines:
Program     : RSNASTSO
FORM routine: SAPOFFICE_AUFRUF
this is, unfortunately, you will be unable to send out an external
mail (transmission medium 5) to your vendor using the message type MLGR.
For a message type MLGR to be outputed, it is necessary to flag in the
Purchase Order Header the 'Goods receipt message' indicator (EKKO-WEAKT)
and, as you can read in the F1-on-line help for this indicator:
"Indicator: Goods receipt message
Indicator specifying that the system is to issue an appropriate message
to the buyer following each goods receipt in respect of this purchase
order".
Therefore, the system has been designed to send an internal e-mail to
the User ID who created the purchase order (buyer). This is made via
SAPoffice and medium 7. However, the system has not been designed to
send an external e-mail to the vendor.

In the case of a goods receipt of missing parts, a mail message is sent

Therefore:
1.- MAIL messages within Inventory Management are used to communicate

2.- MLGR (GR message) are sent out to the Purchasing department only
    when the indicator "GR Message" has been set in the purchase order.

Will MX record work for the incoming mail flow and external mail flow.

I have created 2 machines with windows 2008 R2 workgroup and installed Forefront TMG 2010
I am using the VIP for the external adapter for the NLB and going to connect it through the MX record will it work for the incoming mail flow to the Exchange 2010 and external mail flow.

Based on my experience, the MX record contains the fully qualified domain name of the messaging server that’s responsible for accepting messages for the domain.
Do you want to configure the TMG server as a secure SMTP relay server? Did you mean that the external DNS server point to TMG’s external IP for the MX rcord and the internal Exchange server is using TMG’s internal IP address as the default gateway? Did you
install any exchange role on the TMG server?
I am sorry to say that I am not quite sure of your deployment, I would appreciate it if you can share your network topology and configuration.

FM BCS - Budget Exceed mail alters to External mail Box

Dear Experts
We are going to implement FM BCS module to my client. My client is asking Budget exceed mail alerts will trigger to external mail box. But as per my observation Budget exceeding mail alerts are triggering to Supervisor and user SAP Inbox. But my client is asking mail alters should trigger to supervisor external mail box only.
Please suggest on this.

Anyone know how to send a jpeg file to Windows via Mail without it being embedded into the receivers email

The plain text feature in Mail application does not seem to be working. I noticed this when I send jpg attachments to Windows machines, the receiver gets the attached jpg file embedded in their email and they have no way to save the jpg image. This type of behaviour is normal when when sending rich text emails to Windows machines, but selecting plain text used to eliminate this problem in Snow Leopard.
I have 'always send window-friendly attachemnts' selected.
I spoke to Apple about this and they say it was designed this way.
Can you tell me how I can send jpeg images from Lion to Windows machines so that they can save and reomve the file from their email application?

Perhaps the boolean expression isn't working because it needs to be all caps: YES instead of yes
In any case, a simple 1 or 0 works just fine for me without -bool:
The command to disable in-line attachments (all attachments appear as icons)
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing 1
To command to (re-)enable in-line attachments once disabled (all attachments appear as images or documents displayed in-line)
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing 0
Also, when composing a new message with an attachment, be certain that 'Send Windows-Friendly Attachments' is checkmarked at the bottom of the new message screen:

Following on with Austin's reply, if you don't want to permanently add all those folks in Mail's Previous Recipients list to your Address Book, open up your home folder's Library folder's Application Support folder and copy your AddressBook folder to your Desktop. Then in Mail's Previous recipients window, when you select all entries and add them to your address book, and then in Mail, new message, address book, select all and drag everybody from the list into your To: (or maybe better, BCC:) field, and send your email.
Then throw away the newly modified AddressBook folder (in your home folder's Library folder's Application Support folder) and drag the wanted AddressBook folder now on your Desktop back into it's rightful place (into your home folder's Library folder's Application Support folder).

How to loop Deadline Monitoring ??

I've an issue as mentioned below:
Each work item will be monitored for action within 48 working hours. Any work items not actioned within the deadline will be forwarded to the next level of operational delegation for the contract product category
This will be repeated for each deadline for a maximum of three levels up the delegation hierarchy, after which a work item will be sent to each delegate every 24 hour until such time as a delegate actions the work item.
When an item has been actioned by any of the nominated delegates all open work items will be removed from the rest of the delegatesu2019 inbox.
Can anyone suggest how can I do ??

Thanks for your effort. I can try this but if tomo, the requirement of the approver is increased then the steps will be added. So, I dont think we can do in this way. My senior said, we can maintain some ztable and do that one. I'l check with that and if i get any new solution over there, i'l post message.

How to send messages in Chinese via FIOS e-mail

My wife was previously able to write messages in Chinese on her I-Pad and send them via Comcast e-mail. When she tries to do the same on our new FIOS account, the Chinese characters are lost and replaced with question marks. Incoming Chinese messages are completely scrambled with nonsense characters. How do we rectify this issue?

when a user connect, it will add users list.
In application.onDisconnect, when a user disconnect, it will
remove from users list.

shareobject. the shareobject is called in other clients.
Other client can retrieve the remove user message, they will
call the function to get new users list.
