How to send emails from certain email IDs to junk/trash directly without letting them into my inbox?

Everyday, I get atleast 8 emails from people I don't know. Is there anyway I can mark the email IDs of these senders and program the Mail app to send incoming emails from these IDs to the junk/trash folder directly, without letting these emails enter my inbox?

Yes there is,
When you recieve a mail with an attachement (inline or as a picture) right click (or control click) the attachement and choose "show as symbol" or "show fullsize" (or completely or something like that, I don't work in English version). Mail will take this as a general preference.

How 2 send email after connection lost & comes back - without loosing text.

Having problems with ISP connection - not fault of Firefox. When connection is dropped while I am typing an email, yellow message appears at top of email screen advising connection lost & to try again later. Once the connection is regained, there is no obvious way to send the email - screen remains frozen even after connection is regained. End up having to retype email and hope connection holds.

One option would be to compose your emails in a separate program that lets you save locally so you don't have to worry about your internet connection. Options include Microsoft Word or a wide variety of free software such as http://www.libreoffice.org/ . But it's a hassle and interrupts the flow, so definitely not optimal.
In a search on the add-ons site, I did find one that promises to save your form data as you go. The problem is, a lot of webmail sites uses techniques that bypass regular form controls, so this might not work. But, it could be worth a try, or feel free to keep searching.

I have my iMovies in QuickTime format on an external drive. Is there anyway to show them from the external drive without putting them into iTunes?

I havei my personal iMovies in QuickTime format on an external drive. I prefer not to have to import them into my iTunes library which is nearly 1GB already. Is there any way to play them from my MacBook Pro through Apple TV 2 without importing them into iTunes?

Just wanted to add a little to the excellent comments from those above... I have debated on adding the content to iTunes or just accessing the content through some folder structure.
What has worked best for me and my family:
use VideoDrive - http://www.aroona.net/VideoDrive/Home.html to import the videos/tvshows into iTunes and make them in the correct format for my iPad/iPhone/AppleTV devices in the house. This software is cheap and excellent and make the adding of content to iTunes (i everything) easy!
I store my videos on a usb 2tb drive and my tvshows on a different usb 2tb drive. And I swap a drive out every year or so and give old drive away to family/friends. That way my media drives are new(ish) and 1 drive is never older than 2 years.
for media that I don't want to add to iTunes I still use AirVideo as it is an excellent piece of software. I also use AirVideo to allow me to access content on my home network over the internet.
my "media server" is a simple 4 year old intel mac mini with 1 gig of ram best $700 I spent when I first flipped to all things mac. Family now have 2 mbp's, 2 iPads, 4 iphones and 1atv (2nd gen)

But SP designer sending emails to the first user alone.

finally I got a solution
Identified a workaround to solve the issue using SharePoint designer.
Step 1
Create a lookup list Example department
Columns
Title (by default) – Single line of text
Users – Person or Group
Emails – Multiple lines of text
hidden the Emails column (go to content type and set the column as hidden)
Create a SharePoint designer Workflow
Start Workflow automatically when an item is created
Also Start Workflow automatically when an item is changed
Workflow Stage 1
Set Emails to current Item: Users
The workflow will get all users email ids and add in the Emails column delimiter as semicolon.
Step 2
Create a custom list to get the email ids and send email
Create a lookup column ex: analysis and refer department list, Allow multiple values
Then Create a SharePoint designer workflow

Can't edit email saved in draft or figure out how to send it from there

I wrote up an email yesterday and saved it in the drafts folder since I didn't want it to go out until today. When I go in to drafts in Mail I can see the message as I left it but I can't figure out how to send it from there. I also tried to make a quick change and it wouldn't let me do that either. There is a jpeg attachment in the email but I don't see why that would prevent me from editing the message. Any help would be appreciated.

That's what I thought I was supposed to do but double-clicking wouldn't do anything. I just solved the problem somehow by moving the message from the drafts folder to the sent folder and back to drafts again and then the double-click worked and I was able to send it. Not sure what the problem was but thanks for the quick reply.

I think if you set destype=mail, desformat=PDF, and desname=[email protected] that should also do the trick.
Just be sure that you have put your mail server's IP address in the rep_<machine_name>.conf file located in your <oracle_home>/reports/conf directory. If this is not set up, the mail feature won't work.

[SOLVED]How to send email to a local user?

I have installed Mutt, msmtp, procmail and I can send and receive emails to/from remote hosts and I'd like to send email locally also (to the recipients on the same machine as the sender).
When I try to send email to a local user from the root account -
echo "Test message" | mail -s "Test subject" localuser
then I get an error that connection to the port 25 is refused. Because the /etc/msmtprc file contains the 'localhost' as the default account's host, and on the local host I don't have a mail server listening on 25 port running.
When I try to send email from a non-root account which has in /$HOME/.msmtprc file a real email account on a remote server, then of course there is an error that the domain for the email address 'localuser' is not recognized.
How can sending email to local users be enabled?

If I understand correctly, postfix it's a constantly running daemon. Seems to be an overhead for delivering only from time to time sent messages.

I just got my Note4 and the phone's Help tells me that I need to select the email, then the bottom menu will populate with a little red circle with a + in it. I am to click that and the email address is sent to spam. But my bottom menu is NOT giving me that spam icon to click. How can I block emails? Or how can I get that little icon to show up?

How to send email notification in different languages in Workflow? Can anyone send me some useful guidelines or link where it is mentioned.

There is no profile option available to specify whether send or not send email notification.
But after login, in preferences youcan set the notification preference value by which you can configure whether to send or not
to send email notifications.
If you select ''Do not send me mail' or 'Disabled' it will not send.
For other values it sends the notfication in different formats like text, html, attachments etc...

go to your mail providers setup guide and compare every single setting to how your smtp setup in your settings are set
and if they are not the same change yours to match their page
and if they are the same contact your isp to inquire as to why they are blocking the ports your mail provider are using
