How to send files from my Mac to iPhone via Bluetooth?

I tried to send a file from my MacBook Air to iPhone 5s via Bluetooth.
Both Bluetooth were on. However the Mac said that administrator's iPhone not connected. What shall I do?

This has never been a feature of iphone/ipod touch/ipad.

To delete files from your external HDD, attach it to your MBP and drag the unwanted files to trash and then empty trash.
Then you select the files that you want to transfer by 'drag and drop' to the external HDD and trash the files on your MBP.

  • Help me send files from my Mac to my BlackBerry

    Friends:
I'm trying to send files to my BlackBerry via BlueTooth with no luck. I attempt to initiate receiving the files from my BlackBerry prior to sending it from my Mac, but I get the following error:
"File Transfer Connection Failed" (the file doesn't even begin to transfer)
Oddly enough I can send files from the BlackBerry via BlueTooth easily.
Sharing via BlueTooth is enabled on the Mac.
In manage connections, the the BlueTooth is ON but it has a little dash next
to the checkbox, not a green check mark like Wi-Fi and the Mobile Network do.
    Thanks for your ideas!

I've found the easiest way on leopard(or panther & Tiger) is to use my ISP's web mail, and bear in mind I am using an LG phone and Verizon, to sent a message and attachment to my phone by To: [email protected] and then it comes to cell phone. I don't know if your carrier has such a # to send data like verizon does. Probably does. Depending on what machine and OS X I'm using, it all seems to work different. There are modem scripts in /Library/Modem\ Scripts for usage. But then Leopard Syspref seems to have a different style to setup those modems. Bluetooth is about like a chain saw. Tough, at best to start, sometimes.

  • PC and Tablet paired on wi-fi but more information needed on how to send files from Tablet to PC

I have paired my Win 7 64 computer with my Xperia Z2 tablet on wi-fi. I can send pictures and documents (using "Send To") from the PC to the tablet but I have no idea how to send from the tablet to the PC. There seems to be no way to "share" at all.
    Any advice will be appreciated
    Regards

You could connect the tablet to the PC and transfer the files.

  • How to merge notes from my mac to iPhone

I am trying to help my husband sync Notes from his Mac to his iPhone 5S. I think when he set up his new phone he clicked not to merge with iCloud and this might be the reason he can't sync his Notes. Is there a way to now allow the merge with iCloud for Mac/iPhone/iPad? I don't know how to pull up this option now. I am not very tech savy . .any suggestions/help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Where are your notes currently located? Perhaps they are in an email account such as Yahoo or GMail?

If you want to transfer any size video to your iPod Touch, you can do this by dragging and dropping it into Pic Share It.  The video will appear in your Camera Roll.  It's a free program.  Here's a video showing how it works.

  • How to send email from iClound account on iPhone?

My iClound accout @mac.com or @me.com can receive replies from this forum on my iPhone, but I can not reply or send out any email.
    How to do it?

    Hi,
As what Willard says, please change the SMTP port to 587 and use TLS for encrypted connection. We can get the receive connector for POP and IMAP.
Client Servername – This Receive connector accepts SMTP connections from all non-MAPI clients, such as POP and IMAP.
The “Client ” Receive Connector is bound to TCP port 587.  It is also configured by default to respond to new connections with the FQDN of the server itself. We can run the following command to get it:
    Get-ReceiveConnector

  • How do I send files from my LG Viewty to my macbook?

    Hi,
I recently got my first ever mac, a beautiful macbook pro. Since I use my LG Viewty "cell" (mobile)phone as a camera, I wanted to transfer some photos onto my macbook. But after pairing the devices and switching both bluetooths on, I was able only to send files from the mac to the phone.
Can anyone tell me how to send files from my phone to my macbook?
    Thanks

I get the device does not have the necessary services, when I try this on the iPhone to send a file to the handset.
The other way around from the handset to computer, you get 4 options.
    Email Photo
    send to MobileMe
    Assign to contact
    Use as wallpaper
So that's it I guess, no bluetooth file transfer between iPhone to other devices.

How disappointing though to read that there is no compatibility for bluetooth.  Had I been made aware of this I certainly would not have bought the ipad.  I find it extremely disappointing that there's no publicity about this fact.  I feel utterly conned by Apple.
Yes, there is compatibility for BT: headphones, keyboards, speakers, and other peripherals. And, yes, this is very well known. I'm not sure what you expected in the way of "publicity". No manufacturer lists all of the things their product doesn't do.
    Best of luck.

  • Cannot send file from phone

I have just moved over from my Nokia 6630 to an N70. Somewhere in the pairing process while setting up the new phone I have lost the ability to send files from either phone to the Mac via bluetooth.
Everything else works fine. I can iSync and can send files from the Mac to both phones.
I have deleted and re-paired without success.

You ARE still on 10.4.3, right? Myself and many others had an identical problem, me with my Nokia 6670, after upgrading to 10.4.4. Ended up downgrading to 10.4.3. All working again.
Looking at the list of supported phones on the Apple site, though, the N70 isn't there.

  • I can no longer send emails from my mac yahoo business account, but can send them directly from yahoo. just not from mac mail. I've been able to send emails perfectly fine until today. Help!

I can no longer send emails from my mac yahoo business account, but can send them directly from yahoo. just not from mac mail. I've been able to send emails perfectly fine until today. I've been on the phone with yahoo mail and they've verified that my account settings are correct and I can send email from yahoo. I can receive emails via Mac mail, but just can't send them. An error message appears that says:
"Sending the message content to the server failed." I can't send emails from my Mac desktop, iphone or ipad. Any suggestions! Help! I'm a Mac rookie and so frustrated! Thanks.

Please read and begin using Can receive email, but not send email. I had a similar issue with Comcast mail (could receive by not send) and found my answer in this letter. For me it took resetting the outgoing mail and telling the system to use a password when sending outgoing mail. If you need help with that please advise and I'll tell you where to look.

That's be use you can't send files from the iPad to the Mac over Bluetooth without a third party app. This feature is not native in iOS.
You can email files, use DropBox or another cloud sync service, or use iOS File Sharing with iTunes. - if the app that you are using supports file sharing. There are also apps that let you mount your iPad like a thumb drive that will allow you to move files back and forth by connecting the device to the USB a port with the provided cable or by using WiFi as well.
it helps if you state what files you want to move, what app you are using, etc....details, details....
