It is currently not possible to send an SMS message to multiple recipients.
Hopefully with a software upgrade they will add this, but don't count on it.

I'm in a band & scheduling practices gets kinda tricky.I just got an iPhone 4s & I can't figure out how to send group texts. I have the group set up but I have to select each person seperately from within the group. I had a Blackberry Curve (which I hated!) that did this easily. How can I do this with my iPhone (which I love!)?

deref, Group messaging is a great way to keep everyone in touch. I use them quite frequently. When you send a group message the replies will be sent to everyone. You can send them individually so people cannot see the replies. It sounds like you need to enable Text Message Forwarding on your iPhone for your iPad to send MMS/SMS messages through your phone.
Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac using Continuity
Go to Messages > Text Message Forwarding, and enable the device(s) you would like to forward messages to.
Your Mac, iPad, or iPod touch will display a code. Enter this code on your iPhone to verify the SMS feature.

I am unable to send Group text from lumia 520, even after enabling the Group text option in the messaging settings.

I also need to send group msg to about 100 people which was possible in Symbian, but in Lumia group limit is 25 (how ridiculous!)
Now I have made several groups of 25 & send few mgs.
But what I don't like is, group sms are shown in different thread, so when someone replies, his thread doesn't show the group msg so I can't make out to which msg I am getting reply.
Earlier Symbian used to send group msg as individual sms so replies used to show all sms, sent & received. Symbian system was better for me.
Using Nokia Lumia 1320.
Also have Nokia E72 & Nokia N8.

This doesn't really help me as much; I know how to send texts, and I am able to do so to individuals. It's just that I can't get group texts to go through. I have service and am sending to both iPhone users and non-iPhone users. Interestingly enough, a moment ago a particularly long text I tried to send to an individual non-iPhone user was not delivered. I put the java code in SYS, 'cause I assume that account has max privilege. If the test is successful, I will move that to some user schema and then to deal with those privilege settings... But I'm unlucky.

If you are using Oracle8i, release 8.1 -- much can be done with Java. java
would be able to print directly from the server.
Looks like using Java to print out file is better than PL/SQL. But there's no more hint there! And, no new question can be asked there today either...
I'm wondering whether we can create a socket to a printer and send the characters there directly... Anyone has experience on this?

Thanks. So matters haven't changed. Ipad and iohone systems still not make use of the groups created in OSX Contacts, although one can "see" the groups synced through iCloud. They just do not function as real distribution lists in Mail.
With the Mailshot app, one creates Mailshot groups with Mailshot group name. It's as smooth as a work around can get.
Silly that Apple iOS folks never got around to connecting the contact groups now listed in iOS Contacts through iCloud syncing to also be fully functional in iOS Mail for the purpose of group emailing.

Oh yeah, now I remember that.
But I also remember that you had to go all the way to the start of the message to gain access to the current contact information. Where as in iOS7 that button you mentioned is the contact information. Personally I perfer iOS7. I don't delete my messages, so this is better for me.
However, it wouldn't be a bad idea to add an Edit button in that sub menu that shows up when you touch the upper right button. Currently there are opitions for "Phone", "FaceTime" and "Information" on the contact.
