How to send only part of a sequence to Encore?

I'm new to CS5.5 and I've been trying to figure out how to send only part of a sequence to Encore from PPro. I see in the Help file that it says this can be done but it doesn't explain how to do this (or I haven't been able to find where it's explained). When I use "send to Encore" with dynamic link it sends the whole sequence even though I've tried marking in/out or marking the section I want with the work area bar. Is it not possible to do this using dynamic link?

Playing around with this a bit I found another method in addition to the one you described. I found I can mark part of the sequence with the work area bar and then use Export. The Export screen has an option to send the entire sequence or only the part under the work bar. Then I imported it into Encore and since it was exported with final disc settings Encore didn't have to encode it.
But I think I will send in a feature request. Hopefully a lot of other people will also ask for this.

Exporting only part of the Sequence

I do not have any in and out points on my sequence, but when I export, only part of the sequence exports. I have chosen numerous encoding presets, tried placing in and out points at the beginning and end, but it still does not work.

I've tried exporting through DV NTSC and DVCPRO720p60.
Say if I had a 10 minute sequence, then it'd only export 3/4th of it.

How to export only part of animation?

In the case of a big animation (tens of thousands of frames), is there a way to render (using Export Movie) only part of the animation, e.g. frames 100-500 and nothing more? That way, loss of time would be reduced.

How to send excisable parts of m/c for repairing outside the plant

the scenario is that, we have purchased a machine. so we have machine in our inventory as our asset. but now a part of machine (which is not mentioned seperately in our inventory) has to be sended for repairing.
now the problem is without the stock of that part how to send it outside

Generally, Repair of Materials are handled via concept of Gate Pass (Returnable & Non-Returnable). But, SAP doesn't provide any option for creating Gate Pass (Returnable & Non-Returnable) in standard.
Try the below suggested procedure as a work around process;
Repair Process via Returnable Gate Pass: -
1. MM01 - Create Material Master for every Spare Part / Machinery to be sent to Vendor for Repair as Non-Valuated (Material Type "UNBW") (Do not extend Accounting and Costing views since you don't require postings of Stock value and consumption values, you only want to track the Service/Repair Charges). It's not necessary to have materials as Non-Valuated always, it depends on your requirement.
2. MIGO - Goods Receipt > Others (Receive the quantities of these materials using Movement Type 501 / 511) - Only if Stock of Material is not available.
3. ME21N - Create Subcontracting PO (Here Main Material and Component will be same material)
4. MB1B - Transfer Posting w.r.t. Subcon PO (Mvmt Type - 541, Spare Part stock will get posted to Vendor Stock)
5. MB90 - Take Print out of this Material Doc as Returnable Gate Pass (U need to configure Message Determination of Inventory Mgmt)
6. MIGO - GR against Subcon PO (101 - Receive Spare Part, 543 O - Consumption of Spare Part form Vendor Stock)
7. MIRO - LIV for Service Charges w.r.t. Subcon PO

How to make only part of a PDF document editable?

I'm looking to see if there is a way to make only part of a PDF document editable. My problem is, I have pieces of collateral that some of our channel partners need to be able to add their logo to and then edit the contact information on them, but we don't want them to be able to change any of the main copy on these documents. The only thing I've been able to come up with as a solution is to create outlines of the text that I don't want editable, but I need the copy to be able to be read by computer systems for disability purposes. Does anyone have any ideas on something I could do for this? Or has anyone dealt with anything like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I run iTunes in Mac OS. The iTunes music media folder is now located in an external HD because it´s quite large (2T). The problem is that I´got a second Mac and I´d like to copy -in this second Mac, only part of my music using only its internal HD (300 Mb) . How to send the part of a machinery for Repair

My scenario is like this,
I am purchasing a machinery called Galvanizing plant. So in my Asset master it is maintained as Galvanizing plant.
But that Galvanizing plant having 1000 number of small small parts in it.(for example)
If i want to send a spare part of a material from this Galvanizing plant, how do i send?
I know if i am sending any part out side the factory for repair work i have to make service PO.
In my case i have not defined the 1000 ancillary parts of the Galvanizing plant any where.
How to define these parts of machinery ? ( it is not FHMI)

Dear,
Without creating it as a material or equipment(it need not be an asset), you cannot do logistics transaction.
Create a PM order with control key PM02(external processing) and issue the material to PM repair order. During PM order release, system will create PR for servicing the same.
In above process there will not be any record ofm gate pass and ect as it is a piece of equipment.
One more way is defining it as material and assignment the required component to BOM, then you create a subcontracting PO...you can have the correct data in logistics.

Mail: How to print only part of a message

I often want to print (on paper) only part of a message. I have tried:
1. Select the part to be printed, but the whole message is printed;
2. Do Print > PDF (button) > Open PDF in Preview (button) >Select and delete the part that I don't want > "Message": The original document can't be changed, so a duplicate with your changes has been created" appears at top pointing to an active down arrow and link labelled "Edited" > I click on that link > Dialogue box :" Header text of message", "Where:" (Documents etc. offered).
But I want to print the part of it without the fuss of saving, searching and then printing, then deleting. My task does not seem unusual. Is there a way? Thanks.

OOPS! I just remembered before going on holiday that on advice from somewhere that for security reasons it was a good idea to prevent Java from being used (Safari Preferences). So I did. I have just re-enabled Java and all is well. Whew!
But is enabling Java a security risk (malware)?

How to send only one (of several) attachment from a receiver email adapter?

I have been working with the SAP XI email adapter for some time and now I encountered the following challenge:
I am receiving a message via email from a partner, call some modules which lead to the generation of 5 attachments in total for the incoming message.
I then map the MainDocument to a CONTRL message and return it to the sender using the dynamic parameters of both the sender and the receiver email cc.
I am filling these parameters inside the message mapping; so far I am not using the mailpackage xsd (the only things out of the ordinary are checked boxes for "use adapter specific parameters", "variable transport" and "keep attachments").
My problem is that the email receiver cc now generates an email with 5 attachments when I need it to add only the CONTRL (aka MainDocument) as attachment to this email.
Do you know if there is a way to tell the receiver cc to only use one attachment (or to remove attachments from the original message, f.ex. inside the message mapping)?

How to allow only part of users in AD login sharepoint?

We have a SP2013 farm using windows authentication. On the AD there are 10,000 user accounts and we have no edit permission on AD. (Hence, I cannot setup any group there) As the Sharepoint admin I only have a list of 1,000 users allowed to access. There
is no existing group setup to indicate these 1,000 users.
My question is, how can I allow these 1,000 user login Sharepoint while blocking the other 9,000?
My concern is these 9,000 users will get their My Site self-created when he browse the My Site web application. Another concern is when they access some page without authorization, they will get a form allow them asking for access. The site owner may grant
access to them by mistake which I need to avoid.

How to delete only part of an event clip

In Imovie 09 I reject part of a clip in an event and when I send it to trash it takes all the clip. So all my event is in the trash. All my projects are useless and I have to record all from the camera again.
What I want its just to eliminate part of the clip and stay with the rest. Can anyone tell me how?

Don't "Move rejected to trash" You shouldn't trash part of clip or all of clip from imove(even anywhere), when "Project" is NOT finished/finalized. You can right click and "Reject Selection"(Yellow highlighted portion), of clip, but don't throw in trash. If you did Not Empty,you might be able to drag back out to desktop.
The Video that is in Event Library, does not all have to go into Project.(Edit in Event pane, and drag highlighted portion (you want) into Project.

How to reference only part of Image element in Site Studio 11g

I have defined a Static List and one of the elements is set as an Image. I have the need to only use the src part of the image element and not actually the entire img tag that is created. How can I do this?
Example:

Hi,
Two possible ways - neither of which I would recommend.
1 - Write a trigger on the WF_NOTIFICATIONS table, so that if the notification for the process that you require is sent, then you populate the mailer status column to 'spoof' the mailer into thinking that it has already sent it. That should suppress the email.
2 - Modify the flow to include an activity prior to the notification to change the recipient preferences to not receive email, send the notification, then change the preferences back.
Email is an "all or nothing" solution - either get email from everything, or get it from nothing. How are they planning on dealing with the notification that they are sent? If they are logging into the application to view the notification, then you could consider sending summary notification emails, and force the users to log into the application to view them all, rather than trying to adopt a half-and-half solution where some things come by email and some only come in the application.

How to set only part of the document as "read-only"?

I am using SharePoint 2010. I would like to set some of the columns as "read-only" while some of them are still editable. If I use Advanced Settigns>Item-Level Permissions, I can only set the whole document as "read-only".
Is there a way I can do what I wannt?

Hi,
There is no OOTB way to set a column as read-only. I think you want to make some of the fields as Read-Only in the EditForm.aspx. If so, then you can use the Javascript to do.
Add a Content editor webpart to the Editform.aspx page and place the javascript method to make a field read-only.
You can use the _spBodyOnLoadFunctionNames.push("MakeReadOnly()") method to assocaite your method to the EditForm.
