How to send password expiration email warning- (Set in password Policies)

I tried creating a password policy and linked it with a resource object (iPlanet Directory Server). Its working fine. But I am not getting the email warning notification before the password actually expires.
I am not sure as to how the checkbox that I checked while creating the policy i.e, "Warn after---- days" , works.
Can anybody help me and detail me the process as to what and how should I do to send an email warning notification for the user whose password will expire in few days.

  • How to send photos as email attachments???

    This is a ridiculously easy and simple question but I'm a mac newbie and can't figure out how to send photos as email attachments, not embed them in the body of the email. Every time I go to send a picture or group of pictures from i-photo an email message opens....the pictures are embedded in the body of the email and that's how they appear to receipients. In a test, I've sent them to a PC...the message comes through just fine but the photos don't have separate attachments that I can click on and "save as." they come through as bitmap files. Any ideas? THANK YOU.

    It will not ALWAYS fix the problem that this topic is about; I had my Mail preferences set to send as Plain Text and it did not fix the problem. Additionally, since there is NOT an option in Iphoto as you previously noted, it might be confusing to some people.
    However, for those of you who have the same problem, there seems to be a solution that worked for me. I also had the problem that Mail was overriding my sizing preference when I selected them in Iphoto (share > email) and always sending them as small instead of medium as I preferred.
    Since it seems that sometimes Mail does not deploy the plain text default so you need to kick start it to remember. This is how I did it....
    - Select the photos you want and hit SHARE > EMAIL in Iphoto
    - Now, in Mail click on the photo browser button
    - Find another photo in Iphoto via the browser and drag and drop it into the email that you're composing
    - You'll see a size option appear in the bottom right hand corner
    - Playing around with the sizing option a few times kicked it into gear and it seems to be working better since then
    I hope that helps anyone who has had the same problem.

    i would guess that you are trying to write the message possibly in the field designed for a contact name or phone number that you would like to send it to, if you go down to the rest of the lines you will be able to type your message. this is just a guess but it sounds like this might be the issue. if not please elaborate so we can assist you better.

  • How to catch invalid emails & How to send to multiple emails

    This is a long two-part question.
    Part One:
    I would like to catch invalid emails within the JavaMail code and send the valid emails. I am using the following code to do this. The problem I am running into is when there is a valid email, sometimes it will be caught within the code without being sent and it will show up as a validunsentemail. I have set sendpartial to true, so this shouldn't be happening. Also, is there a way to check if a domain name is in existence before sending the email?
    Part Two:
    For testing purposes, I would like to mix valid and invalid emails for TO, but I don't know how to send to more than one email using an array. I have looked at other posting on the forum of how to do this, but I keep getting errors when I try other's suggestions. Maybe somebody will be able to help with this problem if they see the code below.

    I am working on exactly the same problem. What you need to do is use the destination mail server to send mails. For example: address
    [email protected] is an invalid user.
    Using normal way you wont be able to catch invalid mail box error.
    If you use mail server of jabcreative.com to send email then you will get an unknown user exception.
    To find mail server of jabcreative.com you will have to do MX LookUp on DNS entry

    I am using Micorosoft Outlook 2011 on my Mac Book Pro and I want to send a recurring email.  Any ideas on how to set that up?

  • How to send from an email alias in Outlook?

    Hi,
    We have created several email alias for some partner teams here in the UK but shared with Romania (i.e [email protected]). We have approval for them to work externally and this seems to be working fine.
    The question is how to send from this alias in beehive/outlook? In Thunderbird it is possible to do this via Tools > Account Settings > Manage Identities
    Have briefly searched these forums but cannot find anything so any suggestions appreciated.

    If this is a generic account then it should have a login to the system involved and Thunderbird allows the identity swap on the fly - To get Outlook to do this you would have to set up a new Profile in the Windows Mail app in the control panel and then close Outlook and re-open it with the new profile. Outlook unfortunately has no simultaneous access to different accounts - it is a single stream app (Microsoft decided on this approach, not us, so we have no control).

    Along with my regular email address, I have a business email address that is forwarded to my regular account.
    In Eudora, I used to be able to set up a new "Personality" that would allow me to send email using the business address, and have that show up in the "reply-to" field as well.
    How can I do this in Mail ?

    go to mail>preferences>accounts, select your email account, then in the email address field just below the description field, enter all the email addresses you would like to use as an alias, separated by a comma, then save. You will then be able to send from this email account with all the email addresses you keyed in.
    Alternatively, you could set up a home email account and a business email account in Leopard Mail, and then have the ability to send/receive/view from one account to another
