How to send PDF file to fax number

Hi
I am using
COLDFUSION 8," I have a small screen to take the fax number and want to fax the PDF file to that fax number from my system using ColdFusion".
I have no idea to implement this. Any help will be appriciated.

I think you owe Paul a big ol' beer there, on your behalf he's managed to type "fax coldfusion" into Google.
Did you even try this yourself? Or did you just want someone else to do it for you? Seriously, I don't know what it is on here lately but enough with everyone being too lazy to do their own jobs.

     I try to search and read some of document and blog, some said I can attach file as Payload attachment, but no clear solution or guide to do so.

as per my blog you can attach PDF to a message only if you use abap proxy on ECC and not RFC
the code is just copy and paste from my blog:

so there is nothing spectacular there

How to send pdf files from local dir through emails attachments

I have some pdf documents in some directory, I want to send those pdf's as an attachment throu emails to the concerned person.
Please let me know how to attach the files and send through email.

You are using Forms 4.5, which is a client/server configuration. When you create a pdf file, the file has to be written to a directory that is accessible from your PC. D:\ is acessible, /tmp/ not (that is a directory on some Unix server). If you want to write files to a Unix server, you have to set up Samba and map a drive from your PC to he Unix directory.
Since you are creating multiple pdf files, you will have to wait until all reports are finished and mail them afterwards. You can create a batch script to mail the files.

How to send PDF file as an attachment in email?

Hi Folks,
I have successfully configured SMTP and by now I can successfully send normal text messages along with .TXT files. However, when I am trying to send an email along with .pdf file as an attachment, I am getting the mail in my inbox, but I cannot open the .pdf file! I am getting the following Acrobat error:
Acrobat could not open 'abc.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been corrupted
Can any help me in solving this problem?

I beleive all the links you have sent me are talking about ABAP coding. what I am interested in is,
is there any configuration that I am missing in SCOT (Basis side)?
Since I am not an ABAPER, so I carry out these activities.
Can anyone please answer the following queries of mine:
1. Can't we send any PDF attachment in a mail from R/3?
2. Do we have to do it through coding only?
3. In scot we have option "All formats except fllw". But it does not work for me. Any inputs?

How to send pdf files to ipad on os x mavericks?

Hi,
Before uploading to Mavericks and having ibooks on my iMac I used to manage all my pdf files on iTunes and then put them on my iPad. It was all very simple and the same as music files management.
Now the tag books was remove from itunes and with ibooks i cannot manage my pdf and send them to my ipad.
1. I cannot manage the info on the pdfs I put on ibooks like I used to do on iTunes. I cannot change name, author, genre, etc...
2. I cannot put them on the ibooks of my ipad.
Thus I will have to stop using ibooks...
Any ideas?

I followed the instructions there and when navigating to "http://<your local host>/" I get "It Works". However, when attempting to access my local user directory, I get a 403 Forbidden error:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /~<short user name>/index.html on this server.
Of course I replaced <short user name> with my actual short user name. I'd reply there but I don't seem to be able to.
The other link in your post relates to OS X Server, which I don't have, I'm running plain OS X 10.9.4. Any ideas?

It depends, to some extent on the app you're using to view PDFs. It most app, there is a sharing icon (looks like a box with an arrow coming out the top). Tap that, tap Mail and email the PDF.

Not able to send pdf file as attachment in my apple mail.

Hi, I was easily able to attach pdf files to my apple mail. infact I could just open a pdf file and then send it as attachment in the email earlier. but after downloading and upgrading to os X Mountain lion, I am neither being able to attach and send pdf files in my apple mail, nor can I send PDF file as an attachment.
Is there any issue with OS X Mountain Lion.
Issue 1. I compose Email , then click attach > Browse > select pdf file > click attach > it shows in my Email body either as an icon or as first page of the pdf document > I send it. >>> But when the receipient opens the Email, that pdf attachment is missing. In fact When I put a cc to my self and I open the Email, the attachment is mssing in the incoming E amil.
Issue 2. I open the PDF document > Click on File > send as attachment in E-Mail > on right, a menu appears where I select the File and click attach> I get a message

I think you can setup the type of email in Shared office Settings in transaction S016.
There is an option called <Preset document classes>
You choose this pushbutton to branch to the maintenance screen for the document classes that are directly displayed to users in the Business Workplace for selection when they use the Create function. The name under which the documents are displayed can also be maintained.

Problem to send PDF file

I try to send pdf file as attachments file to mail with XI.

My problems is:
1. to all mails that I send have another e file Untiteld.doc, how I can avoid this file?
2. When I received the pdf file I not succeed to open it I received the message:
Adobe reader could not open 'elad.pdf' because it is either not supported
File type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an
Email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)

Well what happens is I bought the program. It gives you a button to click,
you log in and then a box opens up asking you to select the file, I go into
my filing system (in Windows explorer) select the file, and the program
converts it into docx, my choice. I can read it there and when I try to
copy and paste it into my file where the PDF version is saved, it behaves
like an "image", and I can't save it.... or it saves likes something you
save on the internet, so you have to go into internet every time you want
to see it. I have also pressed any amount of buttons to see if it will
give me the option to save it any other way, and have found nothing. What
I would need is a file in docx.format that I can edit. People send me
things in PDF and sometimes I can just copy it off the PDF file and save it
in WOrd, then I can translate it for them. But sometimes the PDF file
doesnt allow me to copy the text. If it is in image form, I cannot work on
it. It means printing it, so I can copy type it into Word... and for that
I certainly wouldnt need to buy a program. Its just double the work and
ends up that the job takes twice as long.!
Sorry if I am a bit dumb with informatics. But I simply could not find
any way whatever to copy the PDF file that was transformed into Word, in a
format that would enable me to edit it.

using pages how to insert pdf files on ipad?
Anybody have any idea, have pdf files in ibook do not see where to insert pdf's.
Also trying to get word files onto ipad using drop box, do these word files need to be saved in another format?

No - the Word files do not need to be saved in any other format if you have Pages on your iPad. There are other apps that provide better compatibility than Pages but it will work for you. You have to have DropBox on your PC and the free DropBox app on the iPad to use DropBox to transfer files.
To send the file using DropBox - make sure DropBox is running on your computer. Then place the file in one of the folders that you have set in your DropBox folder on your PC. Launch DropBox on your iPad and find the folder that you placed the file into and tap on that folder. Find the document and tap on it. It will open in the window on the right. Tap the arrow icon in the upper right corner and select Open in Pages.
If you have pdf files in iBooks that you want to put into Pages you have to email them to yourself and use the Open In feature when you open the email. You cannot send a file from iBooks other than to email it - at least I am not aware of any other way.

I am sending PDF files as attachments using java mail (it works fine). But now my requirement is to zip the PDFs and send them as attachments instead of actual PDF's. But i don't know how to achieve that. does java mail API support zip attachment facilities? I have looked in activation API also, but i couldn't find anything helpful. even i searched the forums, but no clue. Please, anybody help me about this, it's very urgent.

Check the first "if". If I specify an attachment, then a myme multipart doby is created: one for text and the other for the attachemnt I use this myme ovbject only for attachemnts, because some ISPs have problems and report error in email format if the attachemnet is missing and it contains only text and no attachment.
