How to Send SMS through SAP?

Hello friends,
I got know tht Function module SO_OBJECT_SEND is used to send SMS to customer after inquiry is created. Here in receivers pass the values as mobilenumber "at"domain.com/org etc....but i am not getting the correct information an anyone share me the procedure for triggering SMS?
Thks points will be rewarded for helpful answer.

Hi Venkateswar,
As i already tld u have to pass same parameters which we will pass for mail sending. U can get plenty of sample codes for mail sending in SDN itself. Only difference is data of receivers parameter. Check below code.
SELECT SINGLE cell_carr_string
FROM zcarrier
INTO w_carr
WHERE zcarrier EQ wa_zsent-cell_carrier.
IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
REFRESH i_rec[].
CONCATENATE wa_zsent-cell_number
w_carr  INTO w_email.
i_rec-receiver = w_email.*
i_rec-rec_type = 'U'.              "internet*
APPEND i_rec.
ENDIF.
CALL FUNCTION 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1'
EXPORTING
document_data                    = doc_chng
document_type                    = 'RAW'
TABLES
object_content                   = objcont
receivers                        = i_rec
EXCEPTIONS
too_many_receivers               = 1
document_not_sent                = 2
document_type_not_exist          = 3
operation_no_authorization       = 4
parameter_error                  = 5
x_error                          = 6
enqueue_error                    = 7
OTHERS                           = 8
Thanks,

• How to send SMS from SAP to Any mobile

Hi Friends,
I have a requrement. How to send SMS from SAP to Any mobile?? For Example: If i created PO in SAP then i want to send a SMS to Concerned Vendor and HOD.
Please provide the pre-requisites?
Naveen

Hi Naveen,
there is a standard webservice globally available called Send SMS and you can consume that webservice with the help of CAF and you can send PO number as SMS, If the standard webservice do not work then you have to create your own webservice to fulfill the functionality.

• How to send sms from SAP

What are the possibilities to send sms from SAP. I know scot, but this is for sending e-mails

Yes and No
SCOT does indeed send mails, but if your mailserver is capable to send SMS , then scot can help you via smtp, another option is to use http :
have a look at the options here:

• How to send SMS from SAP 4.7

Hi All,
I am newbie here.
We have a requirement to send a SMS from SAP to Mobile.
How can i do this. Currently we are using SAP 4.7.
Can i do from SAP 4.7 or i need a new upgard version of SAP (ECC).
Please help me.

Rajesh,
Actually i do not have idea on this. But i got the below information from one of the web site related to SAP. It may helpful to you.
You could create dataset in application server with
certain format, ex. : Hp-id Message ( 9999-999999Hello ),
then you could use external command via FM
RSPX_COMMAND_EXECUTE to execute the external command.
The external command we used was Unix external command.
This external command will take the dataset data you
created and send the SMS.
Cooperate with your Basis expert.
Cheers,
Suresh Kumar.

• Send SMS through GSM modem

Hello,
We have a requirement of sending SMS after PGI . Could anybody please help me on how to use GSM Modem to send SMS through SAP?

Hey, I can give you another tip. I am using a very reliable integration program. Its name is Ozeki NG SMS Gateway. I hope they dont cut my tip out, because this software is very useful and stable. You are also able to add this message sending function to different clients for example HP Openview or Sharepoint etc.
Sorry again, I did not intend to advertise or something like that.

• In solman 4.0 how to send message to SAP through service desk

Dear all,
I have configured service desk functionality, My requirement is from service desk how to send message to SAP.
Regards,
Pavan.

Hi,
Following the steps:
ƒBasic configuration - RFC Connections to SAP
Check if the RFC Connectino SAPOSS is working properly
Check if load distribution group is set to EWA
The RFC Connections:
- SAP-OSS (Send Message to SAP)
- SAP-OSS-LIST-O01 (Update Message from SAP)
will be created automatically by the system with a user which has been assigned
previously.
IMG Path: SAP Web Application Server | SAP Web Application Server | SAP Solution Manager| Basic Settings | SAP Solution Manager System | Connection to SAP | Assign user for forwarding Service Desk Message
With transaction SM59 you can adjust the RFC connections.
- For further information on SAP R/3 Front-end connections, see SAP Notes: 33135, 766505, 24177
- To forward Service Desk notifications and Issues to SAP, you need to assign a user to the SAPNet R/3
Front-end connection to SAP.
Activities:
- 1. From the SAP Solution Manager (transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER), choose (Edit-> Global Settings.
- 2. Choose Display<->Change.
- 3. For SAP Service Marketplace, specify http://service.sap.com as the URL.
- 4. In the Connection to SAP tab, specify SAPOSS as the RFC destination. Note that the entry is casesensitive.
- 5. For User forwading messages, enter a valid user and a password. This user will require all the authorizations for SAPNet R/3 Front-end for your customer number.
- 6. Save your changes.
The system automatically generates the following RFC destinations and assigns the S-User and password you specified: SAP-OSS, SAP-OSS-LIST-O01
Good Lucky!
