How to seperate Toggle takes into individual tracks

Hallo Hallo,
I was recording some vox for a pop track 2 days ago. I got carried away laying down high harmonies & rather than using toggle correctly, I did 3 takes higher, 3 takes mid and one as an Ad Lib big vocal. So on this rare occasion, I like all takes, I want them all because they aren't the same vocal repeated. Used correctly this wouldn't be an issue, but as the takes I did were all different. How do I use isolate them all as separate takes so I can paste them onto different audio channels. Is this possible? Hope you can help. Im on a dead line with the label who like it so Id love to get this sorted quickly.
Hope this makes sense.
Thank you in advance for any tips guys.

  • ITunes 7 has split my albums up into individual tracks in cover view!

In the two new views in itunes 7 many of my albums have been split up into individual tracks. Is there anything I can do to 'consolidate' them back?
Power Book   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

Hi there, I have the same problem, Albums I've imported from CD and albums I've bought through itunes now display as separate tracks in both views with album art. Also in list view if I click on an album all its tracks are now not in the correct album order but mixed up, so if I use the album view im left with 10 album covers for the same album with 1 track per cover and in list view everything is all mixed up. I wish I'd never upgraded from itunes 6 as this is now a complete mess and almost unusable with 300 albums of music "WELL DONE APPLE" as a 12 year mac user Im starting to feel like im back using windows 3.1 again

  • I want to clip an voiceover audio track to seperate the audio into two tracks. How do I do that in iMovie 09?

    Hi everyone,
I'm trying to take one voiceover audio track and seperate into two tracks so I can have a timed pause in between the two tracks. In HD I could clip the audio tracks and move them. What can I do in iMovie 09?
    Thank you

I would duplicate the project. Then delete everything except the portion with the VoiceOver.
Then Share/Export Using QuickTime as Sound to AIFF. Then edit it in GarageBand.

  • How to seperate a catalogue into many catalogues ?

    Hi,
I have one catalog that contains about 300 000 pictures that are located in about 14 different hard drives. Some hard drives contains modifications that were done in Lightroom 2 but most of my recent work is with Lightroom 3. It is getting way too big now. Doing my backups takes forever.
I want to seperate my catalog into 14 catalogs, one for each hard drive. I don't know which way would be the safest so I don't lose my metadata, selections, collections, and histories.
I have tried to do copies of this catalog (one for each hard drive). Go in one copy and then delete all the pictures and folders from the 13 other hard drives but it is was taking forever and it ended up that my catalog was corrupted. I was also thinking of "exporting this folder as a catalog" but this mean exporting the pictures as well which is not what I want since it will be relocated and it will also take forever to do. How should I proceed ?
    Thank you for your help,

Usually one catalog works best. But with 300 000 pictures you maybe have a case for more than one catalog. Still, I don't know if splitting your catalog into one for each drive is such a good idea.
The reason is that cross-management between catalogs is never easy and needs lots of experience - but you may have it.
To split a catalog you select the images you want to split of from the main catalog and go >File > Export as catalog. You need to make sure that all images are selected. For instance if you want a separate catalog for drive X you would go to the Grid Mode and select all images on drive X. To see all images of drive X in the topmost folder of drive X make sure that <Show Photos in Subfolders> under  <Library> is checked. Exporting as catalog will export these images with all edits and metadata.
After exporting as catalog you have to remove them from the main catalog by selecting them all, then right-click and select <Delete Photos> and choosing the option <Remove> - NOT <Delete from disk>!! "Remove" means removing images from the Lr catalog but leaving them on the hard drive.
Now, one advice to the wise: I would try this first with one folder with just a few images.

  • Can I split an "iTunes LP" into individual tracks?

    Hi there,
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but I've been looking for over an hour and can't find anything that helps.
I recently purchased the song "Where Are We Now" by David Bowie in order to register my pre-order for the album "The Next Day" which came out a couple of weeks ago.  I didn't realise it was an iTunes LP and now I am stuck with two problems.
    1) I can't insert the original track I purchased into the main album so I have two entries on my iTunes library, one containing one song and one containing the rest of the album
    2) I can't split the iTunes album into separate tracks and it's driving me nuts.
If I have to play the album as a whole and not be able to cherry-pick tracks from it then okay, I guess I can live with that. But with track five as a stand-alone it means I have to listen to the rest of the album and then go back and listen to track five separately?  This can't be right.
I've not come across iTunes albums before and they SUCK if this is what I have to put up with, and I'm certainly not buying the album again via individual songs because that'll cost me over £20.
I hope someone can help, because I'm extremely annoyed. I can't even burn the thing onto a CD and then re-import it because I can't insert track five into the album where it should be.
    Thanks,
    Bee.
iTunes 11 for Windows; iPad 3rd gen, iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.3

Okay, panic over, there was one step I didn't complete and now I've done it, it's worked fine.
I shouldn't be allowed nice things.
    As you were.
    Bee. x

  • How do I separate songs into individual songs from an album?

I have two albums that I would like to separate the songs into individual songs. When I click get info and remove the name of the album it puts it into an individual album. I don't want it to be an individual album just an individual song.

    Hey thomasf6325,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you have recently purchased a new computer and wish to transfer your iTunes library to it. If you still have access to your previous computer (or hard drive), follow the steps in this article to transfer your library:

  • Ripping LPs into individual tracks in same format as the

I had a 20gb Zen and loaded all my CDs - fantastic, I love the "random" option, Beethoven followed by The Beatles followed by ACDC etc. So I bought a 60gbZen extra so I could load all my old LPs as well! I bought a USB Soundblaster and connected the turntable to it to my Acer laptop - a-ripping I will go.
I am using Roxio CD Creator 5 and can now get the LP to the laptop and then to the Zen ........BUT I can only record one side of the LP at a time so it finishes in 2 parts on the Zen and I can't record it as separate tracks in the format that CD tracks appear on the Zen. So ...... can anyone help with advice on how to do it's
How can I rip the LP directly into tracks so I can enjoy the "random" feature again?
Or, if not, at least how can I rip an LP into one file so I can play it without a break?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for those replies, I found another called Polderbits (out of Holland) and it is truly user friendly and I am now working through my LPs. It's a slow process though as you can only record at real speed so it means playing every LP in full and then typing in all the names of the tracks ....but I'm getting there!

  • How do I record narration into different tracks for different subjects??

I'm doing a narration on various items, and need to record it on a CD, broken down into different 'songs' so folks can skip around and find what they need. I already have the narration recorded as one long hour plus recording. Can it be broken up?

You can use the cycle region to mark each "song" - if the Cycle region is active, only the section marked by the cycle region will be shared to iTunes. This way you can export each section separately to iTunes as a different song. In iTunes use the Info panel to assign different track numbers to each section and burn the album to a CD.
In GarageBand '11 it would look like this - sorry, I don't have GarageBand '09 any more:

  • Seperate long mp3 into a bunch of tracks

I am sure this is a question you get all the time, but i couldn't find an answer when i searched. I have one long mp3 file. It blows having to fastforward to parts i want to hear. Is there a way i can chop it up into individual tracks? It would be easier to put on a cd with tracks also. Thanks for your help!

This can be done using an audio editor, such as Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)

  • SoundSoap on Individual Tracks?

I am 25 episodes into a weekly podcast. Having gotten past the technical hurdles I am looking to better the quality of the audio. Each person on the podcast (two local and one from Skype) are being recorded into individual tracks.
The person calling in on Skype has a lot of background noice. Can SounSoap be used to just clean up that track?

    AaronFrankel wrote:

Yes, just load it up as an AU Effect through the Edit TAB on the particular track you want to use it on. You can use it on all your individual tracks if you want to deal with particular but different problematic noise you want to reduce or eliminate.

  • Creating individual tracks from vinyl

I have just digitized an album. Each side is an aiff file that I split into individual tracks in Garageband. Now, I need to send the files to iTunes. Each time I try this, I'm getting one big 25 minute track instead of four individuals. Someone give me some help please.

either burn it to CD from within GB:

(Let the page FULLY load. The link to your answer is at the top of your screen)
    or export each song seperately:

  • How do I make separate tracks into takes in one track?

I want to know how to use quick swipe comping on separate tracks. If not possible, how do I merge those separate tracks as takes in one track so I can use quick swipe?
I am using logic pro X and finding comping very slow when trying to comp multi tracks.

Lasso-select (in one swoop) and/or cmd-select (one by one) all regions you want to include into the take folder, then control-click any of them and choose Pack Take Folder from the contextual menu.

  • I have just added an album to my iTunes from a CD. But the tracks are now displayed in 2 places in my iTunes library. How do I consolidate them into a single album?

I have just added an album to my iTunes from a CD. But the tracks are now displayed in 2 places in my iTunes library -- as if I had downloaded 2 seperate albums. How do I consolidate them into a single album in my iTunes?

Did you use the same method to add each of the six albums to your library?  With some of iTunes configuration options, some imports (CDs, Store purchase, use of the Automatically add to iTunes folder) will go into the standard media folder location, but the other methods to add media files already on your PC (Add File to Library..., Add Folder to Library..., drag and drop) will leave the files in their original spot.
The other factor that may influence where iTunes locates media files is the setting of the "part of a compilation" flag in the media metadata.  When this flag is set iTunes (when configured to organize your media and copy all additions to the media folders) will place files in iTunes Media\Music\Compilations\album_title rather than iTunes Media\Music\artist_name\album_title.

  • How can i separate 4 devises into individual accounts?

I have 1 x iPhone 4, 2 x iPhone 4S and 1 x iTouch 4th Gen all on one iTunes, iCloud and the same Apple iD. How can i separate them into having their own individual accounts??? Please help we are all recieving each others txt messages and contacts lists.

Export your images as png, jpg or tiff. As most users can see these formats. Tiff would be the largest format so it will take up more of your email limit and will be slower to send and receive. But will keep most of the features editable.
Png like tiff supports transparency, whereas jpg lacks majority of the features found in the other formats but can be highly compressible. However it does so by throwing away data. So each time the file is opened and saved more data is thrown away, if repeated enough times the file is no longer usable.
Png and jpg are great for viewing inside a web browser or email program. Tiff can be viewed in a image viewer normally associated when accessing the file from windows explorer or mac's finder.
Once the files are exported, most email programs can select the images as attachments.
