How to set a contact's default phone number for Siri to call

Currently using iOS 8.2:
I really enjoy using Siri to make hands-free phone calls e.g. "Call Mom." However, many of my contacts have multiple numbers. For most of my contacts, simply saying "Call Mom" will jump me straight into a phone call to their iPhone or cell phone number; but for a few of my contacts, I'll say "Call my wife" and Siri will reply with: "which phone number should I dial: iPhone, home, work?" I have tried re-arranging and relabeling numbers in Contacts and I've tried adding specific numbers to my "Favorites" section in the Phone app, but no dice.
Any help or ideas? There are many postings on this subject dating to 2009 indicating customer preference for a default option. Either it is too difficult for Apple to accomplish or there is some solution which I haven't learned.

I think you mean "switch" instead of "such" - you're trying to have the phone number show up as an iPhone in contacts instead of a mobile phone.
If so, open the contact, click "Edit" in the upper right, click "mobile" and change it to "iPhone".

HT2506 How to set outlook as the default mail client for Preview

When I try to us Preview to email PDFs the Apple Mail client is the default mail client that opens. I use Lion and would like to set Outlook as my default. Does anyone know how to do this? It has been suggested that you click command-P, select PDF and add Outlook there but there are no options to do this. I am stuck and would like some help. I am using outlook:mac2011 version 14.1.4 and Preview 5.5.1

I did not find a way to change the target application for the "New Email with Attchment" service for files and folders. 5800XM: Setting Contacts Bar default phone no for ...

Hi all
I'm trying to use the Contacts bar on the home screen of my 5800XM but I can't find a way to select which phone no. of the contacts I want to appear as default.
The problem is each of my contacts has a home no. (landline) plus one or more mobile nos. However, on the Contacts bar, when you click on a contact, it only shows a single phone no. and for some reason it's only the landline no.
I want to be able to change it so that the default no that is shown in contacts bar is their mobile no, but I cant find a way to do it.
Any ideas?

I fellow member of the forum (patruns) sent me a private message and solved the problem.
What I wanted was the default no. to make a call when I select the contact icon, but it appears that the no. that is displayed beside the icon has no relation to the no that you actually dial.
When you click on the Phone icon below the contact, it pops up a dialog giving you a list of all the phone nos of that contact. From there you select the no. you want to dial for that contact.
That was what I was after.

Please advise if its is possible to set a default phone number for a contact with multiple contact numbers

I'm going to clarify this situation by explaining the problem experienced and outlining a possible missing feature which may be missing for the right reasons.
1. When you click on a contact from the CONTACTS tab, you are presented with the 'Info' page for that person so that you can Call, Text, Share or Add them to favorites.
2. When you click on the 'left' part of a contact from the RECENTS page, it will call them back on the number that they rang you from for that perticular call.
However, if you want to call them back on another number, you click on the 'right' part of their contact from the RECENTS page where you are taken to their 'Info' page.
3. FAVORITES, i found this very confusing at first. You need to understand that this is just a link to 1 number type of that contact (e.g. iPhone, work, etc) and not to the entire contact. If you link it to 'iPhone' and change their 'iPhone' number, it will change. But if you add a new number for them, e.g. 'home' and then delete 'iPhone' it will not update. You need to change your favorites if it no longer represents their main number.
You could consider a main defaul number, so that when it comes to returning calls, it regards the number they rang from and will call your chosen main number for them but this will only complicate things for most people, and this is just as easily resolved by just clicking on the 'right' part of the recents tab where you can select a number to call them from.

You need to hook up your iPhone, select it under Devices, and then go to the Photos tab on the Device Profile, and uncheck Sync Photos, then sync. That should delete all photos that were downloaded from your computer.
When you say you have 2 separate albums of the same sets of pictures, what 2 albums are you referring to? Can you provide us with names of those "duplicate" albums?

At the present time, the only way to clear that is to restore the phone as new. Perhaps a future iOS update will give us the option to clear that cache.

I understand your emails are printing in landscape. If the issue is only when printing emails, there may be a setting within your email settings to change the print settings.
If all of your programs are printing in landscape, check the print settings on your computer.

You do 0mean for Java, not from Java? (The latter would make absolutely no sense at all.) If so, pass it to the runtime using the -D switch (you've got SUN's java, right?):
