How to set AI reference voltage DAQmx

I can't figure out how to set an internal reference voltage for analog input. I am using DAQmx Create Channel, AI voltage.

If you're trying to set a ground, there's the AI GND pins.

  • Measuring Phase Difference of acquired sound input - How to set the reference

    I am trying to measure the phase difference between two audio inputs.(Left and Right Channel of my sound card)
    Both are free running 1kHz audio samples which come in and out of phase.
    When the samples are in phase everything seems to be working correctly and shows no phase difference.
    However once the signals start to go out of phase +-10deg the result keeps jumping around.
    It appears to be the fact that it is changing the reference to determine the phase.
    When I view the output phase of a channel it is a sawtooth waveform moving from 250deg and then wraps round to -110deg
    What I want is to fix one input at 0 degrees and see the others inputs phase difference against it.
    Is there a way to set one signal as the reference or an alternative strategy?
    Thanks in advance for any assistance.
    PLEASE NOTE THAT THE acquire.jpg IS ACTUALLY THE VI.
    It would not upload as the vi. Please rename extension to acquire.vi to view it.

  • How to set runtime references in J2EE library DC's

    Hi,
    I'm building an custom logon module. This is well described in
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/46/3ce9402f3f8031e10000000a1550b0/content.htm
    I created the following DC:
    1. simple java project DC that contains the login module class
    2. J2EE library DC that will act as the deployable component.
    The part "Make reference to the Security Provider service of the J2EE Engine." (2b) is where i get stumped:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/bf/93d84072378031e10000000a1550b0/content.htm
    The example adds the reference direct to the provider.xml. I don't have that option when I develop the library as a DC.
    It seems that while EAR file DC's allow the adding of runtime library references via the application-j2ee.xml file, it seems that is not possible for J2EE library DCs.
    Specifically, I'm trying to get the follwing entry into the provider.xml:
    <references>
      <reference provider-name="sap.com" strength="weak" type="interface">security_api</reference>
    I saw one workaround in the SDN where they suggest to extract the provider.xml from the SDA and manually
    add the references but this isn't really an option in our case.
    Should I be deploying 'normal' EAR files in this case ? Have I overlooked something ?
    thanks
    Michael

    Hi,
    talk about overlooking the obvious . . . The appropriate public part is present in com.sap_SAP-JEE_1.
    Adding that worked.

  • How to set "Resource references" ?

    Hi,
    I'm a novice on EJB.
    I want to use EntityBean to access a Cloudscape database. I create a database named "MyDB" in a directory C:\db.
    When using J2ee deploy tool to build a enterprise bean, I need to specify the coded name of "Resource Refs". Can I just write "jdbc/MyDB" without specify any directory ?
    Thank you.

    I looked at J2ee verbose's output messages, and I got the following message:
    c:\j2sdkee1.3.1\repository\gnrtrTMP\BorrowerApp\borrower\BorrowerBean_PM.j
    ava:69: ')' expected
    return (void) partition.afterEjbCreate(this);
    I don't have BorrowerBean_PM.java, so I guess it is an automatically generated file.

  • Alignment tool - how to set reference object?

    I am new to Flash but have used Illustrator and InDesign for years. I am wondering if someone can explain how to set the reference object by which all other objects are aligned; e.g. Illustrator ->select all objects then a second click on the reference object and all other objects take their cue.
    InDesign you lock the reference object and that determines the rest.
    In Flash it seems that either both objects move or the one that I wish to remain in position jumps rather than the other way around.
    Thanks

    I don't know if you can set a reference object in Flash.  I have always just followed the general rule of aligning into the direction where the alignment basis would not move... meaning if I am aligning to the left, then the leftmost item I would select would be the reference, and if need be I would move other objects to the right of it first.

    I have difficulty (only on version 5.0 and 4.7) to create caracter set with reference(or create it anyhow). On version 4.6 there is no problem (I can do that like described in course BC305).
    Transaction "spad"->Full administation-> character set->change-> character

  • How can I set the reference line in a graph

    Hello together,
    I would like know if it is possible to set the Reference Line Value as a variable
    Example:
    "<ReferenceLine index="0" visible="true" value=variable sql-statement displayedInLegend="true"/>"
    My problem:
    I need a combined graph with a stacked area and a line for the Limit or "Reference Line".
    regards

    Sorry. I don't mean page tabs, but the order in which form fields are selected by the tab key. In simple html there is a value called tabindex and I was just wondering if there is a way to assign this order within a portal form. I have basically recreated the form with a custom layout and adjusted the table structure to force the order I was looking for, but it would be a nice add for future versions.

  • How to set a pre-trigger when triggering off a physical channel

    I am trying to set a pretrigger when triggering off a physical channel when the voltage is above a threashold. Basically I would like to capture the pretrigger and posttrigger from a channel. I am using Visual C++.NET with Measurement Studio 7.1 with DAQmx 7.4 driver. I used to program this application with Visual C++ 6.0 with traditional NI DAQ with software analog (stop condition). How do I program in the DAQmx ?
    Thanks,
    Yajai

    In NI-DAQmx, the triggering technique you are referring to is called 'Reference Triggering'. In the attached zip folder is an ANSI C example in NI-DAQmx that demonstrates analog input with a digital reference trigger, acquiring pre and post trigger data. You will have to change the reference trigger function to use an analog edge as opposed to a digital edge (use DAQmxCfgAnlgEdgeRefTrig function). Also in the attached zip file is the NI-DAQmx C Reference Help. You can find all the DAQmx functions and properties there. Hope this helps.

  • Struggling how to set up 2 daq assist on labview in the same VI

    hi all,
    hope someone can help me out
    I am currently using the scxi 2345 with some SCC FT01 feed through modules, these are just to record some voltages from some transducers.
    What I am struggling with is setting up 2 daq assist on a single VI, it is coming back with a error stating specified resouce is reserved and then a window saying learn more about automatic handling. How would I also have these 2 values logged on the same graph or chart?
    Anyone any ideas how to set these up.
    I ideally want to have 3 daq assist in the same Vi but not sure if this is possible. It would be 1 for thermocouple input and 2 for voltage as stated above
    many thanks
    shane dover

    Hi Shane and Dennis,
    I've been working my way around the same type of problems, and I am
    currently re-writing everything to use on Asst. per board on my PXI
    chassis, so that no resources become reserved.
    As a result, I have to separate the signals on the output dynamic data
    in order to do different post processing.  So I have been toying
    with staying with dynamic data, inputting dyn. data into an array, and
    inputing it into a cluster.  It seems that each has advantages and
    drawbacks, but arrays seem to be the easiest with which to work when
    splitting signals coming from a DAQmx Asst. and funneling some of the
    signals into a post-processing sub-VI.  The drawback to this is
    that time stamps in the Dyn. Data are lost if you want to record the
    data and the time of the reading.
    Question:  Is there an easy way to pipe Dynamic Data into a
    calculation subVI?  Is it workable after it's been split from
    other streams?
    Thanks,
    Brad

  • Don't know how to set current limit for servomotors in MID

    My application is to control a servo motor. Im using PXI-7350, driving a motor (Pittman GM8712F434) with MID-7654. The motor is connected to mechanic parts and mechanic parts are connected to a potentiometer as a feedback. Now, according to the spec of the motor, it said reference voltage 19.1V, inductance 5.4 mH, peak current 1.76 A. So, I set dip switch of MID to 0.85 A for continuous current, 1.70 A for peak current and standard inductance. The motor didnt move and fault LED lighted. Then I set both continuous and peak current to around 1.7A. The motor still didnt move and fault LED still lighted. I kept increasing the current until the current hit 3A. It started moving slowly but fault LED still lighted. Final
    ly I set the peak current to 3.5A, the motor ran normally. Come to the questions.
    1. Is the peak current in the spec same as peak current limit in MID? How to determine peak current limit? Because Im afraid that my little motor is going to burn out.
    2. How to set the continuous current; is it suppose to be half of peak current?
    3. If +10/-10V command voltage(torque limit) gets map to peak current (let say 1.7 A), will +5/-5V be mapped to 0.85? And what happen after 2.7 sec if I set continuous current to 0.85A? Will +5/-5V be mapped to half of 0.85?
    4. How does 2.7 sec thing works? When I set peak and continuous current to 3.5A and 1.7A, after 2.7 sec motor should run slower or even stop (in my case), but it went nut like it ran at maximum current.
    I set Kp 20 and others zero, everything else is same as default. Thank you, I appreciate your answer.

    infoiupui,
    There are several DIP switches on the front of the MID 7654 that can be toggled to vary the continuous and peak current values for the MID. There is a small panel that can be removed from the lower left corner of the MID. You can look in the manual for the 7654, linked below, to determine the particular settings that you should use to achieve given continuous and peak current values.
    MID-7654/7652 Servo Power Motor Drive User Guide

    Take a look at pages 10 through 13 of this document for information on how to modify those DIP switches to achieve current values that will work with the motor that you are using.
    I am not clear on w
    hat you are referring to when you referred to 2.7 seconds. Could you clarify that for me?
    I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions on this issue.

  • File adapter-How to set line break in text file-split record into two lines

    Dear Guru's,
    I have to solve following problem with XML (with mulitiple records) to TEXT file scenario using file adapter. I have to output for ever ONE data record in XML always two identical lines in text file. Second line should have a little bit different mapping in few fields like date,... So I did duplicate fileds in my output structure in mapping and need to know how to set line break in the middle and see half of structure in first line and next structure half in second line
    My output structure in mapping is:
    CASHFLOW
    - INTERFACE
    - GESELLSCHAFT
    - ANWENDUNG
    - PRODUKT
    - VERTRAG
    - BETRAG
    - WAEHRUNG
    - DIRECTION
    - BEWEGUNGSTYP
    - FAELLIGKEIT
    - ZINSFESTSTELLUNG
    - ZAHLUNGSTAG
    - RENDITE
    - INTERFACE2
    - GESELLSCHAFT2
    - ANWENDUNG2
    - PRODUKT2
    - VERTRAG2
    - BETRAG2
    - WAEHRUNG2
    - DIRECTION2
    - BEWEGUNGSTYP2
    - FAELLIGKEIT2
    - ZINSFESTSTELLUNG2
    - ZAHLUNGSTAG2
    - RENDITE2
    Question is how can I set on receiving file adapter in Content Conversion Parameters that fields from first structure half INTERFACE...RENDITE should be outputed in one line and fields from second half of structure INTERFACE2...RENDITE2 should start on second line in final text file.
    I'm getting at the moment one line only and I need to know how can set line break so that second line starting with INTERFACE2(CA)...RENDITE2 will start in new line.
    CA,"0100","7","512",20090127010001,-12454762586.6800,"EUR",2,12,2009-01-28,2009-01-27,2009-01-28,"0.0000000",CA,"0100","7","512",20090127010001,-12454762586.6800,"EUR",1,10,2009-01-27,2009-01-27,2009-01-27,"0.0000000"
    This should be final output:
    CA,"0100","7","512",20090127010001,-12454762586.6800,"EUR",2,12,2009-01-28,2009-01-27,2009-01-28,"0.0000000"

    My file adapter settings:
    RecordsetStructure=CASHFLOW
    CASHFLOW.fieldNames=INTERFACE,GESELLSCHAFT,ANWENDUNG,PRODUKT,VERTRAG,BETRAG,WAEHRUNG,DIRECTION,BEWEGUNGSTYP,FAELLIGKEIT,ZINSFESTSTELLUNG,ZAHLUNGSTAG,RENDITE
    CASHFLOW.fieldSeparator=,
    CASHFLOW.endSeparator='nl'
    CASHFLOW.fieldNames=INTERFACE2,GESELLSCHAFT2,ANWENDUNG2,PRODUKT2,VERTRAG2,BETRAG2,WAEHRUNG2,DIRECTION2,BEWEGUNGSTYP2,FAELLIGKEIT2,ZINSFESTSTELLUNG2,ZAHLUNGSTAG2,RENDITE2
    CASHFLOW.fieldSeparator=,
    It wont help if I add two identical structures in mapping because in output i would see for multiple entries section with first lines only and after that section with second lines only. And CASHFLOW is one part of more complex mapping ...
    (This is final output structure RecordsetStructure=HEADER,CASHFLOW,CONDITION,REFERENCE,CONTRACT - more sections with different data and all these should have duplicate lines at the end)
    Thanks a lot for any help
    Cheers
    Marian
    Edited by: Marian  Luscon on Jul 14, 2009 11:44 AM

    Hi Ivan,
    right, I did test just for sure.
    Putting constant 'nl' into field CASHFLOW-INTERFACE1 didnt help - still getting one line instead two lines.
    CA ,"0100" ,"7" ,"512" ,20090127GTP101 ,-12454762586.6800 ,"EUR" ,2 ,12 ,2009-01-28 ,2009-01-27 ,2009-01-28 ,"0.0000000" ,'nl' ,"GTP1" ,"7" ,"512" ,20090127GTP101 ,-12454762586.6800 ,"EUR" ,1 ,10 ,2009-01-27 ,2009-01-27 ,2009-01-27 ,"0.0000000"
    So there is still question. Is there any way (mapping,...) how to output always 2 lines in text file for one record in XML. It always does 1 record in mapping structure = 1 line but we need 2 lines ...
    Example:
    Input: 4 records in XML
    Output: 8 lines in final text file ...
    Thanks to you all guys

  • How to Set Report Region Title Dynamically

    I have code working to periodically refresh a Interactive Report on a page. I have the following code in the page header:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    //automatic reload IRR
    function fnc_reloadIRR () {
    gReport.search('SEARCH');
    window.setTimeout(fnc_reloadIRR, 10000);
    // this means the code execution starts after 10 seconds
    window.setTimeout(fnc_reloadIRR, 10000);
    </script>
    This is working great. The title of the report region is "Intraday Color Code Test - &P1_LAST_REFRESH_TIME."
    I have a hidden page item named P1_LAST_REFRESH_TIME on the page that contains the last time the report was refreshed. I am struggling with resetting this value when the report region is refreshed. ( May not even need this item!)
    To address this, I created an On Demand application process that gets the Last Refreshed string. I then altered the above code like this:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    //automatic reload IRR
    function fnc_reloadIRR () {
    var ajaxRequest = new htmldb_Get( null, &APP_ID., 'APPLICATION_PROCESS=SET_LAST_REFRESH_TIME',0);
    gReport.search('SEARCH');
    window.setTimeout(fnc_reloadIRR, 10000);
    ajaxResult = ajaxRequest.get();
    // this means the code execution starts after 10 seconds
    window.setTimeout(fnc_reloadIRR, 10000);
    </script>
    Note the addition of the ajaxRequest stuff. This, too, is working. That is, if I check the value in ajaxResult, it does contain the correct, current time. So far so good.
    What I can't figure out is how, now, to get a reference to the title attribute of the Interactive Report Region so that I can reset it.
    I AM SOOOOO CLOSE. Can anyone fill in this last part of the puzzle for me?

    To clarify, I really just need to know how to get a reference to the Report Region's title so that I can set it to the value currently stored in "ajaxResult"

    In the response I can see that it completely ignores the thumbnailURL tag, but does not ignore thumbnailLocation - it merely just doesn't do anything with it.
    Any idea?

    Thanks for the answer!
    However, I have tried with both file://c/path/to/... and http://www.myserver.com/thumbnails/filename.jpg  for the <thumbnailLocation> tag, and same for the <thumbnailURL>.
    The packaging service still keeps ignoring those tags, and when I go look in the admin console (http://localhost:8080/admin/console) the book that was posted, has no thumbnail URL.
    I also tried using a base64 encoded image as <thumbnailData> together with <thumbnailLocation>... But in vain...
    PS. This Adobe Content Server has VERY LOUSY technical references. There's no code examples to find, and the tags / xml-requests/responses has very poor detailed explanation. Example:
    The detailed information about the thumbnailLocation tag is like this:
         thumbnailLocation - Upload location for the thumbnail
    Oh really...
    Long story short:
    When I package a book, I already have an uploaded thumbnail image on the server. All I want is to refer to that image, when I package a book... How hard can it be?

    Thanks,

    No, you can use APEX_PLSQL_JOB.
    Example:
    DECLARE
    l_sql VARCHAR2(4000);
    l_job NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    l_sql := 'BEGIN MY_PACKAGE.MY_PROCESS; END;';
    l_job := APEX_PLSQL_JOB.SUBMIT_PROCESS(
