How to set all pages using template A to instead use template B?

I am using Dreamweaver Web CS4.
I have inherited a website that uses Dreamweaver templates.  In the website, the previous webmaster used several different templates for different sections of the site.
I am trying to redesign the website to use PHP includes to decrease the bloat of the site.  As such, I am trying to change the template for all pages on the site to the new one that I have designed.  I have not found a way to do this.  I can select pages individually and change their templates but I have not found a way to do a batch template update.  Is there a way to do this?  If not, can anyone think of a better way to standardize the website rather than updating templates individually?

You would definitely want to add the title editable region.  Each page should have a page-specific title for optimal SE exposure.  Without that editable region, you wouldn't be able to create page-specific titles.
So - add the title editable region.  Now your two templates have the same number of editable regions, each with the same name.
Then all you have to do is to close *all* files in DW.  Then do a find and replace like this -
FIND -
/Templates/template_A.dwt
REPLACE -
/Templates/template_B.dwt
Make a backup of the whole site first.
Finally, open template_B, make a trivial change and reverse it.  Save template_B and update the whole site.  That should do the trick.

    All fields in InDesign can be entered in any measurement system. So, if you want to make an 8"x10" document and go to File>New Document and the window looks like this:

If you do that to an open document, you will change the unit of measure for that document. If you do it while no documents are open, it will change the unit of measure for any new documents you create. To change the unit of measure for existing documents, you will have to open each and make the change.

    We have the navigation structure as follows.
    In Top Level Navigation we have a Role called " Role1"
    In Second Level Navigation we have a Workset called "Workset1"
    In Detailed Navigation we have a folders as below :
    Folder1
        Folder2
              Page1
              Page2
              Page3
        Folder3
             Page4
             Page5
             Page6
    Now our requirement is when user clicks on Role1 then in the Detailed Navigation (DLN) , Page1 should set by default and content in that page has to be displayed in the content Area.
    Currently it is happening like, when user clicks on Role1 then in the Detailed Navigation(DLN), Folder1 is selecting by default , then user has to select manually the page1 then that page1 is content is displaying in the content area.
    Could you please get back to me what are the properties has to be changed at page level or folder level if any, for achieving the requirement as page1 should set by default when user clicks on Role1 ( from the First Level Navigation).??
    I tried the property of "Default entry for folder"  for page1 as "Yes", Still it is setting the page1 as deafult in the DLN on click of Role1. Please let me know if any other properties are required to change?
    Note : Currently we are using Light framework page fucntionality instead of Default framework page.

    Currently we are using Light framework page not Default Framework Page, Inside we have Light detailed Navigation, inside i had check for the property of "Clicking Folder Name Launches First Node", but it was not there for Light detailed Navigation.And this property is there as you said for detailed navigation inside the desktop inner page.
    Could you please guide whether out requirement is possible or not with light framework page->light detailed navigation?

    My last post was just a "warning" to whomever else may stumble on this thread. It was more for posterity, if it helps you then great. If it helps others then great.
    There are certain circumstances and unusual times where you'd need to do this. And I don't know of a way to automate it.
    You can get 3rd Party Acrobat PDF plugins that will do it (my mind has gone blank on their names?)

    BUT if you want to do this in Acrobat Pro
    Add a Watermark under Document>Watermark>Add
    Make sure the text covers all the space in the PDF where text could lie
    Or you could use an image - say a full page black JPG or something
    Set the Opacity to 0
    the watermark will be added to all pages
    Then Advanced>Flattener Preview
    make sure Convert text to outlines is selected
    Select the option for All Pages in Document
    Click Appy
    Flatten the PDF and all the text should convert under the flattening

    As a work around , you can create a VM without installing OS and  configure the Vlan of VNic , then export it .
    The new VM will be with Vlan ID when you import the "export file".(note : you need to select "copy the virtual machine " in the tab "choose import type" during importing ) .

    Ive designed a site using CSS (Thanks to others on the forum..:) and have a column on the right of the homepage for latest news...rather than having to update 30+ pages one by one possibly each week....how can I make changes to my homepage and this in turn updates all pages...
    When creating the site I always used "Save all" I'm still working on the homepage but then realized once I rename that to the 30+ others and change content on each etc.....any changes will have to be made one by one...
    I am not using an external style sheet....
    I only want to change a few lines on the latest news section and have it display on all pages - site wide...
    Can anyone help me with this...?

    Why the heck not?  It's so much simpler to maintain site wide styles with one style sheet instead of many.

    As bregent says, CSS is not going to help you with HTML content.  If your site is already built without the aid of Server-Side Includes or DW Templates, another option is Library Items.

    I have searched through all of the API documents, without success in how to correctly set the PDLayoutMode to SinglePage.
    I am using Acrobat Standard 7.0.9 with the 7.0.5 SDK and Visual Studio C# Express 2005 edition. I have quite successfully interfaced with Acrobat using C#, and have been happily using it for the past 8 months. But, now I need to extend my app to programmatically set the page layout mode. I don't find complete enough documentation to help me get the job done.
    One hint I stumbled upon, was to use the AVAppSetPreferences(), but the docs are wimpy on the correct values for the method's two parameters.
    Anyone have any experience with AxAcroPDFLib, or other OLE methods to set the page layout mode to other than default?

    Each document contains all pages. So essentially, there are a lot of copies of the same file and has the same content (yes, it is stupid).
    Anyway, i have found a way to do this. I open each document (which i thought would already be open so i could use "this"), set the property, save and lastly close it. It works, but it aint fast. So if someone ever finds a way to do this faster, that would be really nice.  :-)
