How to set an IP adress to a Mac Book ...

Hi ...  My backup software, Carbon Copy Cloner, requires my Mac Book Air to have a specific IP address.  How do I do that ?

, System Preferences, Internet & Wireless, Network, select your active network Location and Network Name, and the active interface (AirPort is shown in the example below), then click the Advanced button in the lower right.
Choose the TCP/IP tab, then select Configure IPv4, DHCP with manual address, (or Manually)
Then enter the specific IP address required for the app and click OK when finished.
