How to set default color and font?

Where do I set a default font and color for my outgoing mail? I looked in the preferences but when you change it there, it changes it for all emails, incoming and out going. Isn't there a way to have different fonts for the outgoing than for the incoming??

I'm glad that other people have had this problem too. I've spent hours on the web trying to find how to select the default composing font colour. I find it incredible that with all the options available in Mail and other mail applications that Apple haven't included this most basic of requirements. It would be lovely if someone from Apple would let us know why this has been left out and if they are going to put it in VERY soon, perhaps as a software update? Mac's still rule though :o)

if the field is numeric but you don't see the 0 check check if : Suppress if zero is ticked in the Number format tab.

I want to set a default color for all e-mail messages and although I have tried to set the color it doesn't seem to work ... second day with a mac, so speak slowly.
Also want to set up a signature with the name in one color and address and contact info a different color. I went into mail>preferences>signatures and was able to change font on different lines of signature ... but when I tried to apply colors, it didn't work

that's not possible. you'll have to do it for every message individually.

that's possible. while editing a signature go to Format menu->show fonts. in the popup click on T with a green rectangle next to it. that's the button for font color. you'll get yet another popup for color. highlight some text in the signature and click on the color you want.

How to set default Header and Footer properties for PDF

Currently we are manually setting the 'PDF and Print Control' properties for each and every dashboard. We understand that print pdf properties are controlled by pdfstyle.fst file under $SAROOTDIR\web\app\res\s_oracle10\b_mozilla_4 but don't have the exact property names to include in header and footer section.
By default, we want to include company logo, the saved name of the report/dashboard tab and created time in the header. And page# in the footer.
Where can we set these and what properties names should be used in order for these to be set for every new request/dashboard that is created.

Trying to change the default font color of my font when I reply or compose a message and the font window will allow me to change the font style but the color won't budge. d

you cant alas! however you can set your signature with a first letter with the font and colour of your choice
It work well for me and really stop to anoye me to reset each email with the font and colouur I want ! Hopefully Apple smart people can do something on this very basic issue!

How to set default view and commands

I have Acrobat Standard 9, and I wish to set the default for opening files to a full page view with one-page-at-a-time scrolling. I routinely open many PDF files and have to scroll through the entire document.
I managed to get the full page view to work, but not the full page scrolling . Currently, when I open the document, the mouse wheel scrolls the document continuously several lines at a time. What I want is for the mouse wheel to scroll the document one full page at a time (page up/page down). I can manually set this by selecting the "Full Page" button on the tool bar (the one with the four arrows), however this is another step I have to perform each time I open a document.
Is there any way to set the full-page scroll by default?

Although I can not fix the default view, changing the document properties at least allows me to regulate how it opens the next time. (Almost as good).

Currently i am making motor driver from labview, and i am facing one problem.
When i connect to my board via labview, it will relay last position to global variable. After that, i have to go to loop, where i can send back modified position to my motor control board
In short, i have to control number, but that number default value should be writtem by another function when i start vi.

Best to do so in the source document if it is available. If not, in Acrobat Pro XI for PC you can use the Edit Text and Images tool. The font and color appear in the Tools pane under Format. I seem to recall this worked differently in version X.

How to set default font color in Pages

I don't know why. I did a standard clean install of iWork 08. In Pages, everytime I select to insert a text box, the color of the font defaults to brown rather than black. It's a pain to change it to black all the time. Also I noticed that when I select to insert a line, it also defaults to brown. Any thoughts on why this is happening as the default color and how to fix it?
Also, almost evertime I do the option click on the text box icon to draw a text box, the cursor changes to the crosshair but the box allows me to draw the with size, but the length of the column automatically can't be drawn- it extends instead all the way off the bottom of the page. In other words I can't really draw the text box to the size I need. I'm new to Pages.

1. Try re-assigning the text after you set the format:

I haven't played around with the AS3.0 enough yet but I know
that the
2.0 one applies changes to new text so you need to add "new"
text to the
field by recopying the existing text. Basically...rewrite the
text with
the new format.
2. Your formats are stored in the text field's format
property. You can
either keep a reference to the original format you created
('myFormat'
above), or use:
var myFormat=this._parent.field.getTextFormat();
The text format has a variety of properties you can read such
as font,
size, color, and so on. Have a look at the TextFormat class
reference in
the Flash help. Most of these are completely optional so you
can
set/read whatever you want.
About the text, you simply read or write to the field's text

No it won't help.
You can't set a value into an <input type="file"> control at all. The user has to put values in themselves.
The reason behind this is security. If the programmer could put any value they liked in there, you could upload any file at all from a users computer without their intervention. eg C:\windows\system32\passwords.txt
Bottom line: you can't put a default value into the input type="file" control.
And a good thing too ;-)
