How to set default export format in CrystalReports Viewer

When Viewing Crystal Reports in InfoView, the top left button can choose export file format, how to set it default to Excel?

Hi Jennie Xiang,
You can set the default export format in Crystal designer before publishing in infoview.
Open the report in Crystal designer and go to file>export>export options--> select the export option to xls and check the options that you want and click on OK.
Now try exporting the report by clicking on export button then you can see the first option as xls with all format options that you have selected before by default.
By saving this report at server (infoview) you can get the same options while exporting from viewer.

  • How to change default Export Format Type in Crystal Report Viewer

    We are coding in VB.NET 2005 using the CR2008 SP1 .NET objects.
    The Crystal Report Viewer, when displayed, defaults the export type as .rpt (Crystal Reports).
    We distribute our .NET application to our customers.  99% of the time, this .rpt format is useless to our customers as they do not have crystal reports developer.  They usually export to a .pdf or .xls format.  Is there a way to default this export option to something other than .rpt?
    Thank you.

    Yes, that's as much as I figured.
    With the Crystal for .NET methods, the CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine's reportdocument object has an ExportToDisk method.  We wanted to use this (as we used something similar with the RDC) to prompt the user to export.  However, the reportdocument's exporttodisk method does not have an argument that allows for Prompting the user (true/false) like the RDC's export did.  You have to actually know ahead of time the type of export the user wants as well as the filename.  Well, we do not, and therefore, want the user to be able to select the type of export they want as well as enter their own filename.  We want the Crystal methods to prompt for this.  Since we are unable to, we've had to resort to declaring a reportviewer object and setting the viewer's reportsource = to the reportdocument.  We then use the ExportReport() method which defaults to .rpt (which none of our end users have Crystal Developer).  This is why we want to know if there is a way to reset the default export method to something more common (such as .pdf or .xls).  Is there a way to change the reportdocument's file type in order to default the export type?  Just trying to come up with some sort of workaround...
    Thanks

  • How to set default number format for whole app

  • How to set QuickTime export setting to 1080p as default? Thank you! ;-)

    HI there,
    I was wondering how to set the export settings to 1080p when exporting a video (after trimming for instance)...
    It is set to "Movie" by default, I'm not to sure what resolution or data rate "Movie" format is (identical to original file)... since according to apple the other export options are:
    Thanks.

    Cool, so would it be the same if I save the file as "Movie" or "1080p" once I've trimmed the original file?
    No, the 1080p option would re-compress the file as a 1080p H.264/AAC file. This means the compression format may be chaged from its original compression format and that the quality MAY be reduced due to the process of recompression. Basically, it all depends on what the original compression format, settings, and quality were like to begin with. If the original data was in a low compression editing format, then recompressing the data to H.264/AAC should produce a much smaller file with little or no loss in visual quality while recompressing a high compression format may produce little or now change in the file size but noticeably reduce the visual quality. Since "quality" is a highly subjective term, you should really be running your own tests to see which output you prefer rather than asking for opinions from others here.
    Also, my question was if I could change the default export settings:
    Depends on what you mean by "change" the default settings. The Apple H.264 presets are context adaptive in nature. They are, within certain limits, self-adjusting depending on the video content being transcoded and the specific preset selected. For instance, small target dispay dimensions will produce lower average data rates which means the final file will be smaller but you cannot manually change the frame rate, set key frame frequency, set a/v data rate limits, create custom anamorphic encodes, manually set the profile/level combination, set the entropy mode, etc.

    How to set default User preferences in Analyzer for all users<BR><BR>Hi,<BR><BR>I would like to set some settings in Analyzer as default for all users. For example:<BR>1. I'm pretty sure higher access superceedes, so you could set up a group with no actual access, just to get the preferences working, then their individual security will dictate what they can do. I haven't tested this fully, but I beleive this is how it will work.<BR>As far as setting the preferences, go into the admin console and right click on the group, then select Preferences. To apply the group preferences to a user, add the user to the group, then right click on the user, select preferences and from the upper left corner, use the drop down to select the active preference, in this case, it will be the group you created and added them to.<BR><BR>HTH

  • How to set default locale in JDK1.3.0 to US?

    Hi, everyone!
    I found the default locale in JDK 1.3.0 is not set to US when I converted our JDK from 1.2 to 1.3.0. So I have to change code by passing Locale.US.
    The output from below test code is:
    default=100.00
    US=$100.00
    import java.util.Locale;
    import java.text.*;
    public class TestCurrency
    public static void main(String[] args)
    int amount = 100;
    //default
    NumberFormat moneyWriter = NumberFormat.getCurrencyInstance();
    System.out.println ("default=" + moneyWriter.format(amount) );
    //US
    moneyWriter = NumberFormat.getCurrencyInstance(Locale.US);
    System.out.println ("US=" + moneyWriter.format(amount) );
    Can anyone tell me how to set default locale in JDK 1.3.0 to US?
    Thanks!

    You have to set something on your computer (outside Java) to tell it that you are in the US. You didn't say, but I'm going to guess that you are using Windows; if that's so, then try Regional Options in Control Panel.

  • How to set default value to date type attribute.

    Hi,
    How to set default value to date type attribute.
    E.g I want to set u201C01/01/1999u201D to date attributes.
    First i want to set value and then i want to fetch the same & want to check equals.
    please suggest solution.
    Regards,
    Smita

    Hi,
    In wdinit() method u can set the date
    DateFormat df = new SimpleDateFormat("MM/dd/yyyy");
    Date today = Calendar.getInstance().getTime();
    String reportDate = df.format(today);
    wdContext.currentContextElement().setFromDate(reportDate);
    Another way you have set the this formate like that
    1. Create a Simple type under "Dictionaries->SimpleType" called DateFormat
    2. Select the type as "date"
    3. Go to the "Representation" tab and set the format as "dd/MM/yyyy" (or whatever u want, but month should be MM)
    4.Bind the context attribute to the type created now.
    Hope this helps u.
    Best Regards

  • How to set default values for boolean columns

    I'm trying to deploy some content types and columns into a site with a feature. All it's ok, except that I'm trying to set a default value for boolean columns with no success.
    I've tried to set default value at column level:
    <Field ID="{EFE23A1D-494E-45cf-832E-45E41B17F0CF}" Name="ScopeSpanish" DisplayName="Se publican noticias en español"
    Type="Boolean" Hidden="FALSE" Group="Columnas ShaCon" >
    <Default>TRUE</Default>
    </Field>
    and at content type level:
    <FieldRef ID="{EFE23A1D-494E-45cf-832E-45E41B17F0CF}" Name="ScopeSpanish" DefaultValue="TRUE" Required="TRUE" />
    But in any case, when i create a new item with this content type, default value is applied.
    Can anyone tell how to set default values for boolean columns?

  • How to set default reject reason in VA01 (create sales order)

    Hi
    Everybody can tell me how to set default reject reason for item in sales order.
    in our sap system there are a default reject reason as '90'. We want to set it as "Null".
    Thanks
    Henry

    Hi,
    Assigning a default Reason for Rejection is not in standard SAP. I am sure there is some enhancement/user exit which updates the reason for rejection.
    Please get the help of an ABAPer, create the sales order in debugging mode and he will find out the logic behind the automatic reason for rejection.
    Before that you can find the exits in the include MV45AFZZ for any code related to this.

    This information initial value is (maybe) stored in Windows Register (register.exe) at Software\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server\Filetransfer -> PathDownload, you can read it thru class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES method GET_UPLOAD_DOWNLOAD_PATH and update it thru method REGISTRY_SET_VALUE. (Else there may be some parameter ID to force data, but I'm no longer sure)

    Abapers,
    I have 3 GL account like 0024831231,0024831238,0024831245.
    Please help me how to set default values in select-options ( s_hkont ) in INTIALIZATION event
    Thanks

    Select option is table <Structure> with fields, low, high, sign & option
    you need to append the value into the select option, with appropriate value in low or
    example:
    S_HKONT-low  = <value>
    S_HKONT-SIGN = 'I'
    S_hkont-OPTION = 'EQ'
    append s_hkont.
    Default value for select-option also can be added directly in select-option statement.
