How to set default page in DLN among folders structure

Hi All,
We have the navigation structure as follows.
In Top Level Navigation we have a Role called " Role1"
In Second Level Navigation we have a Workset called "Workset1"
In Detailed Navigation we have a folders as below :
Folder1
    Folder2
          Page1
          Page2
          Page3
    Folder3
         Page4
         Page5
         Page6
Now our requirement is when user clicks on Role1 then in the Detailed Navigation (DLN) , Page1 should set by default and content in that page has to be displayed in the content Area.
Currently it is happening like, when user clicks on Role1 then in the Detailed Navigation(DLN), Folder1 is selecting by default , then user has to select manually the page1 then that page1 is content is displaying in the content area.
Could you please get back to me what are the properties has to be changed at page level or folder level if any, for achieving the requirement as page1 should set by default when user clicks on Role1 ( from the First Level Navigation).??
I tried the property of "Default entry for folder" for page1 as "Yes", Still it is setting the page1 as deafult in the DLN on click of Role1. Please let me know if any other properties are required to change?
Note : Currently we are using Light framework page fucntionality instead of Default framework page.

Currently we are using Light framework page not Default Framework Page, Inside we have Light detailed Navigation, inside i had check for the property of "Clicking Folder Name Launches First Node", but it was not there for Light detailed Navigation.And this property is there as you said for detailed navigation inside the desktop inner page.
Could you please guide whether out requirement is possible or not with light framework page->light detailed navigation?

The following is the Structure of our requirement, then please let me know how to set Page as default when we click on Role 1, as mentioned in the below structure. Currently when click on Role1, then Folder1 in the DLN is selecting by default then user has to click on Page manually then content of page will be displayed in the content area.
Role1 (First Level Navigation)
     Workset1(Second Level Navigation)
         Folder1(Deailed Navigation content)
              Folder2
                    Page (Google Page, for example)
I tried the property of Page as "Default Entry for Folder" as "Yes", even though still the page is not setting by default on click of Role1. let me know if any other changes/properties/options are there to get the solution for this.
If any one helps on this then it would be great help to us.
Currently we are using Light Framework Page. Not Default Framework Page.

With Acrobat Pro, run a Batch Process (Sequence)/Action to run the "Open Options" sequence.
This sequence permits setting the values for all items under the Initial View tab of PDFs' Document Properties.
Regarding a PDF's Document Properties > Initial View:
Visit an open PDF's Document Properties (Ctrl+D, Cmd+D). Go to the Initial View tab. The top pane (Layout and Magnification) permits configuration of:
Navigation tab: Page Only | Bookmarks Panel and Page | Pages Panel and Page | Attachments Panel and Page | Layers Panel and Page
Page Layout: Default | Single Page | Single Page Continuous | Two-Up (Facing) | Two-Up (Cover Page) | Two-Up Continuous (Cover Page)
Magnification: Default | Actual Size | Fit Page | Fit Width | Fit Height | Fit Visible | Magnification percentages (25% to 6400%)
Configuration settings other than "Default" dictate how the PDF is viewed initially.
The settings for all values in all panes in the Initial View may be established for one or many PDFs by use of a Batch Sequence/Action (Acrobat Pro required).
This functionality is utilized in an enterprise environment where large document collections are deployed in a LAN/WAN "eLibrary" to provide a consistent initial view to end-users.
It also provides a content author a mechanism for establishing the initial view for *their* deployed content (such as PDF document collections distributed on optical storage media).
As to the typical default Initial View for a created PDF:
When a PDF is created via Acrobat the PDF document's default Initial View for Layout and Magnification is:
--| Navigation: Page Only
--| Page layout: Default
--| Magnification: Default
--| Open to page: 1
Regarding the Open Parameters document — While this document does provide a few command line options the document's primary focus is the use of a URL to open a URL's targeted PDF's initially opening.
Worth noting is that the document is specific for URLs and not applicable to UNC links (links with a LAN/WAN).

How to set default sort order for all folders/albums/etc

This is driving me nuts, having to change the sort order from manual to file name every time I change projects or folders (and I have a lot of both). Is there a way to set the default to just sort by file name ascending? Or sort by timestamp (that's date + time, not just date)?

How to set default permissions for files and folders

We have mac and windows computers on a network where we use Mac OSX Server 10.4 to share files. When files are created on windows computer, no problem, all users can read/write these files. However on our 2 macs (1 10.3 and 1 10.4), other users are blocked from using the files, only the owner has "read/write", group and others are "read only". As far as I can tell, file sharing is turned on ok in Workgroup Manager for the folders we share files from. How can we establish sharing for all users on our network?

Niel's suggestion is good. You might also try posting your question in the Tiger Server forums. I'm sure Tiger Server has several ways of dealing with this.

How to set default view for preview?

Every time I open a PDF using Preview I have to set the view to 'thumbnails', then 'two pages up', then adjust the zoom. Complete waste of time.

I customized my Toolbar to look like the following. Click the middle button that has the 1 circled. That tells Preview to remember to display pages at actual size (100%). Every file that I open now displays at 100%.

We tried all the way but could not able assign characteristics value before saving the document. it means we can only see the assigned value using transaction CV02N. but our requirement is to check if the user fills any value into characteristics it should check with default value which we would like to assign whenever we create a new part of the document which we are not able to achieve.we tried a lot but could not succeed.
Nay idea if we can achieve this....

Thanks for reply. but the problem is that I am getting data from database and based on some flag I need to select checkbox while page is loading first time.
at that time the table is null as till now it not rendered. and when its rendered it means page is displayed now.
just before display I need to set checkbox as selected.
I don't want to do like this (when user is pressing any command button then only is should update checkbox selection).

How to set default values for boolean columns

I'm trying to deploy some content types and columns into a site with a feature. All it's ok, except that I'm trying to set a default value for boolean columns with no success.
I've tried to set default value at column level:

Hi,
Assigning a default Reason for Rejection is not in standard SAP. I am sure there is some enhancement/user exit which updates the reason for rejection.
Please get the help of an ABAPer, create the sales order in debugging mode and he will find out the logic behind the automatic reason for rejection.
Before that you can find the exits in the include MV45AFZZ for any code related to this.

This information initial value is (maybe) stored in Windows Register (register.exe) at Software\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server\Filetransfer -> PathDownload, you can read it thru class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES method GET_UPLOAD_DOWNLOAD_PATH and update it thru method REGISTRY_SET_VALUE. (Else there may be some parameter ID to force data, but I'm no longer sure)

I'm pretty sure higher access superceedes, so you could set up a group with no actual access, just to get the preferences working, then their individual security will dictate what they can do. I haven't tested this fully, but I beleive this is how it will work. As far as setting the preferences, go into the admin console and right click on the group, then select Preferences. To apply the group preferences to a user, add the user to the group, then right click on the user, select preferences and from the upper left corner, use the drop down to select the active preference, in this case, it will be the group you created and added them to. All fields in InDesign can be entered in any measurement system. So, if you want to make an 8"x10" document and go to File>New Document and the window looks like this:

…and when you move to the next field, it will convert the eight inches into the equivalent number in the unit of measure that it is using at the moment, like this:
… (203.2 milimeters is the same as 8 inches). You can also enter a different measurement unit into other fields once the file is created, such as the width or height of a frame, or the position of an object in the X and Y coordinates.
If you would rather just work in inches instead of having to type the inches mark or abbreviation, go to InDesign>Preferences>General and select the Units & Increments tab. There you will see Ruler Units for Horizontal and Vertical at the top of the window. Set them to Inches and all of the fields will display in inches. If you do that to an open document, you will change the unit of measure for that document. If you do it while no documents are open, it will change the unit of measure for any new documents you create. To change the unit of measure for existing documents, you will have to open each and make the change.

You have to set something on your computer (outside Java) to tell it that you are in the US. You didn't say, but I'm going to guess that you are using Windows; if that's so, then try Regional Options in Control Panel.
