How to set "FAST_READ" in CTM planning run?

Dear gurus:
I've already implemented the notes "Note 1070611 - CTM order reading performance problem" into our system. And the notes tell me, I have to activate this function by set the field "FAST_READ" = "X". But I cannot find this field in CTM profile or global setting of CTM. So I cannot make sure it is used or not. Thanks for your help.

Hi Scott
Regarding on the parameter, I think you can define it n CTM profile.
Please go to t-cd /SAPAPO/CTM and open your CTM profile.
Then from the menu, please go to "Control" => "Planning parameter".
Then put FAST_READ in parameter field and put value X in value field.

Hi Khadar,
1) The information you have provided is the CTM optimiser log.
Run the job in background and in sm37 and click on job log &
analyse the exact error happened. In case if you are not able
to do, please provide the error log.
2) Check the livecache is stable in its operations when the job
runs (check with basis team)
3) Run consistency check for master data before CTM run
4) Check for any struck queues and clear those and rerun
5) If you feel more inconsistencies in system, run livecache
consistency and rerun CTM run

CTM Planning run Error

Hello,
I tried to execute CTM planning run, it prompts me with this error message.
"Check the settings in SAP APO Customizing for the optimization server."
I already assigned "CM01" as Optimization Server Id in CTM Profile, but it still prompts the error message.
Does anyone encountered this error ?

Hi,
Actually these user defind fields are used/assigned in the routing.
Initially u have to define your own user defind profile through OPEC transaction.
Assign this profile in the routing.
So when ur executing Mfg activities, suppose if ur using some high materials like silver...etc.
Then after executing the particular operation some amount of silver chips or silver scrap will generated .
To keep chip/scrap qty operation and date which user defind is used.
Once u have assigned this profile to routing, then it will be automatically copied in the planned order/production order.when ur confirming the order then u have to enter the all related data.

How to set the File Path to run a javascript using Plugin Code?

Im new to Indesign Plugin Development.Can any one help me out with my problem.
What i want to do is to run a javascript using Plugin Code.When i went through this forum i was able to find out that i should use the IscriptRunner Class to automate this.I could also figure out that the Member Function to use is "CanHandleFile" &"RunFile".
The first parameter in CanHandleFile & RunFile Member Function is to specify the path of the JavaScript File i suppose!I could also find out that IDFile has to used to set the file path Information.
But im clueless how to set the Javascript FilePath using IDFile.Can any one help me how to do this?Any Code Snippets Please?

Consolidation of Planned orders after CTM planning run

Hi everyone,
We use CTM planning engine and create planned orders for the unfulfilled demand. Since Demand is coming from various locations multiple planned orders are created at the supply location. But the requirement is that all these planned orders need to be consolidated to 1 planned order.
How can we acheive this without disturbing the existing pegging relationships?
For example:
Current scenario:
3 planned orders at location X based on the demand from locations A, B and C. Then a pegging relationship exists (Purchase Requistions) between A and X; B and X; C and X.
Requirement:
Above 3 planned orders need to be consolidated to 1 Planned order and still the pegging relationship to supply the demand locations should exist.
Please let me know if anyone has similar business scenario and has working solution approach

You can increase the lot size to club your demand requirements. You can also try using period type lotsize to club daily, weekly, monthly requirements.

how to get the accurate inspection plan of the IQC for the material which was class item in a super BOM?
I've gotten the characteristic value from the sales order, and get the PO after MPR. The problem is how to specify the target value and the range of inspection characteristic in inspection plan, because the value is temporary?

Hello,
I think you need to create MIC which linked with the configuration characteristic, and specify "inspection by configuration" for the inspection type.
then the configuration value in the sales order can be transfered to the inspection lot when production released or goods receipts if you use inspection type 03 or 04. that means the value range for the MIC will be determined dynamically for each sales order.

How to set autotrace to explain plan ONLY

I would like to see explain plan for a long running statement.
Now if I do following:
set autotrace on explain
UPDATE ......-- my statement
I get the plan, but the rows are updated also :-(
Is there a way to tell ORACLE, please show me the explain plan but dio not execute the statement?

ONLY FOR queries you can use
set autotrace traceonly explain
And actually query isn't executed. For other DML you cannot use that.
The other way can be explaining the query and then selecting the plan_table output:

Exclude sales orders based on sales order type from CTM planning run

Dear people,
We have sales orders in R/3 with custom sales order types, like ZE01, ZE02 etc.
These sales orders are CIFed to APO and all sales orders have ATP category BM. We use CTM and we want to exclude sales order with sales order type ZE01, is this possible?
Which enhancement could be used to exclude sales orders with selection on sales order type?

Check the requirement type of your sales order line item in VA02 procurement tab it should be Reqmt type of customer reqmt   KSL
Also check the strategy assign in material master and MRP group OPPR and then check the setting of strategy 10 in OPPS there should be
Customer Requirement planning
Reqmt type of customer reqmt   KSL Sale frm stck w/o ind.req.red.
Requirements class 030 Sale from stock
Allocation indicat.     No consumption with customer requirements
No MRP   :-               1 Requirement not planned, but display.

How to set the initial Quota Planning in CRM Pipeline Performance Mgmt

We have just installed CRM 7.0
When I go to PPM --> Quota Planning, all the initial figures are zeros.
Next from top menu I click on "Generate Quota" and from the the popup I pick a sles team memeber, and I try to generate Quota
The Err I get is
1) "Quota plan generation failed for Michael Cutis"
2) No quota exists for 2008 for Micahael Curtis ..... generation for 2009 not possible"
My question how and where do I set the initial quota value for the previous year so that I can generate quota for this year ?

Hello Surajit,
The generate quota functionality of PPM can be used to generate quota for a fiscal based on the quota of the previous fiscal year. For example, if a rep A has been given a target of $100 for fiscal year 2009, then you can give the growth factor as 10 % and then the system can generate a quota of $110 for rep A for fiscal year 2010.
Coming to how quota can be set up for a fiscal year manually, you can set 5 different types of quotas in the quota planning application. Total Sales Volume, Product Sales Volume, Product Category Sales Volume, Product Units and Product category untis. If you click on the one click edit button against any of the users in the actions column, system will navigate to a detailed quota planning page, where you can set all these types of targets. Alternatively, if you are just interested in Total Sales Volume Target, you can use the table view in the Quota planning page to plan the targets.

How to set the minimial right to run a report only on SQL express Reporting Services

I tried several times on setup a SERVERNAME\USERA from the "Home-Report Manager --> Site Settings --> Security --> New Role Assignment..
I also checked it already have the roles (System Administrator, System User) being assigned
When I try to run the report remotely via

Based on your description, you are experiencing the problem when login on the Report Server remotely, you got some error about required for permissions, right?
Generally, Reporting Services uses role-based security to grant user access to a report server, and there are two types of roles: Item-level roles and System-level roles. On a new installation, only local administrators have access to a report server. If
the user need to have access to reports, folders, models and shared data sources, we can assign Item-level roles on the root node (the Home folder) or on specific folders or items. In this case, you can check if you have assigned an Item-level role first.
bellow are about how to assign an Item-level role:
Start Internet Explorer together with the Run as administrator option. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, right-click Internet Explorer, and then click Run as administrator.
Open Report Manager. By default, the Report Manager URL is
http://<ServerName>/reports_sqlexpress. If you use a named instance of Reporting Services, the Report Manager URL is
http://<ServerName>/reports_<InstanceName>.
In the Home dialog box, click Properties.
Click New Role Assignment.
Type a Windows user account name by using this format: <Domain>\<User>
Click to select the Role(5 default roles) check box and click OK.
If you already assigned a role for the user, this issue might be caused by the UAC settings, you can find more details in this link:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934164 and you can follow the steps below
to do the right configuration on your remote computer:
Start Windows Internet Explorer.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click Security.
Click Trusted Sites and then click Sites.
Under Add this Web site to the zone, type http://<ServerName>. If you are not using HTTPS for the default site, click to clear the Require server certification (https:) for all sites in this zone check box,
Click Add.
Repeat step 4 and step 5 to add the http://localhost URL, and then click Close.
Close Report Manager and Use Internet Explorer without the Run as administrator option to reopen Report Manager.

How to set the DISPLAY variable to run admsi.pl?

I'm trying to patch Oracle apps R12 using admsi.pl.
hostname: black
APPS db: VIS
But I keep getting the error:

This is what I did:
VIS database and listener are already running.
login to the linux server as unix user: applmgr
cd /oapps/applmgr/VIS/apps/apps_st/appl/

I notice that there are 36 .env files!
For applmgr alone!!

For oracle, there are another 7 .env files!

Did I get the environment (env) file correct?
Or do I need to run a few more env first?
If so, which ones?
What would the order of operations be?
sqldeveloper has given me problems with Display sometimes.

Ok, the problem is that I have two tables COUNTRIES in two schemas. I only want to import SH.COUNTRIES, not HR.COUNTRIES. If I exclude the HR schema. It's ok, my import work properly. HR.COUNTRIES is not imported.
The problem I see is if I don't know all the tables names in the dmp file, I could only want 1 objet and exclude everyelse.
If I uses that parfile, it's ok.
