How to set highlight color for JTabbedPane????

Hi,
In JTabbedPane class There are methods
setbackGround(...) setForeGround(..) methods but
what is the way to tell that, when a perticular Tab of a tabbedPane
is selected it should be highlight with this color..
Now every thing is defaulting to grey???
Thanks

you're talking about the tab/s of JTabbedPane?
if so, put this line prior to creation of the JTabbedPane (will affect all JTabbedPanes)
UIManager.put("TabbedPane.selected",new javax.swing.plaf.ColorUIResource(Color.YELLOW));

    1. When you post code, post a minimal example. Did we have to scroll through

    2. Can't say much for the quality of code NetBeans generates.

  • How to set different color for items in selectManyCheckbox

    hi,
    I would like to change item text background color for each item on selectManyCheckbox (different for each item).
    It is only 5 items so that could be static reference or select.
    I know only how to change background for all items
    af|selectManyCheckbox::item-text {
        background:orange;
    How to select concrete item text and change color for only them?
    I found similar problem:
    css - Set background color of every individual checkbox of p:selectManyCheckbox - Stack Overflow
    but this dont work for me because I dont have in adf tr structure
    I need somethink like this:
    af|selectManyCheckbox::item-text XXXX - select here one of the item by number on list or id  {
        background:orange;

    hi,
    thanks Alejandro and Federico for answers.
    I use JDev 11.1.1.6. I dont write it in previously post because I think that is a more css then adf problem.
    I have 5 selectItem based on simple List<String> {"text1", "text2", "text3", "text4". "text5"}:
    <af:selectManyCheckbox label="List" id="smc2"
                                               layout="horizontal"
                                               value="#{bean.listInBean}"
                                               autoSubmit="true">
                          <af:selectItem label="text1" value="text1" id="si47"/>
                          <af:selectItem label="text2" value="text2" id="si43"/>
                          <af:selectItem label="text3" value="text3" id="si46"/>
                          <af:selectItem label="text4" value="text4" id="si45"/>
                          <af:selectItem label="text5" value="text5" id="si44"/>
                        </af:selectManyCheckbox>
    and I would like to color first selectItem text to orange, second to red.. etc, The list is a static list. Not would be changed.
    After Alejandro answer I build simple for each element (anyCollection contains item with two fields: textValue and label {(text1,text1), (text2,text2)...}
      <af:forEach items="#{bean.anyCollection}"
                                      var="item">
                            <af:selectItem id="si48" value="#{item.textValue}"  styleClass="yourClassName#{var.index}"
                                           label="#{item.label}"/>
                          </af:forEach>
    And now if I have my var called "item" I can write 5 css style classe yourClassName#{var.index} with different color, but there is a problem:
    Attribute styleClass is not defined for af:selectItem
    If it will be so simple I will just add 5 style classes for each selectItem
    <af:selectItem label="text1" value="text1" id="si47" styleClass="yourClassName0"/>
    <af:selectItem label="text2" value="text2" id="si43" styleClass="yourClassName1"/>
    Should I use other component then adf facer rich?

  • How to change highlight color for menus?

    What controls the highlight color used for Firefox menus? ... like Find, Print and About ... the main menus.
    I used the Stratiform Plug-in to change my font color to blue and now it's exactly the same as the highlight color ... so highlighting makes the entry's text invisible.
    I want my highlight color to be YELLOW only, regardless of any theme I might use.

    Good idea ... but (in XP) the color for Selected Items only affects Windows menu entries. It looks like some other setting affects the Firefox ones. I've attached a couple of captures to show what I'm seeing.
    Thanks for trying.

  • WLC AireOS 8.0 - how to set font-color for integrated webauth/weblogin?

    Hello,
    up to AireOS 7.6 I was able to set the font-color of the internal webauth/weblogin page using html-codes, for example like this:
    Headline: Welcome to our <font color="red">guest</font>-network!
    Message: You need a valid <font color="blue">user</font> to login.
    Now with AireOS 8.0 this doesn't work anymore. When I try to set a headline or message with font-tags I get "Error while setting headline." (or "...message.") when I hit apply. I have to remove the font-tag to save the weblogin page.
    #CLIWEB-6-CLIWEB_INVALID_HTML_TAGS_USED: [PA] cli_web_api.c:1748 The Customization message field has invalid html tags
    #CLIWEB-6-CLIWEB_INVALID_HTML_TAGS_USED: [PA] cli_web_api.c:1663 The Headline field has invalid html tags
    So, how can we now set different font colors/styles like in previous releases? Using external or uploading selfmade pages is not an option.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Since your using code to change the default internal portal page look, its better for you just to create a custom webauth and upload that to the WLC.  That is how I do my implementations as its easier for me to create a new page than trying to mess around with the internal page.  As you can see, Cisco can change the way things work in every version.  It might just be the fact that they no longer are allowing html code to be inserted in the default webauth/passthrough page.

  • How to set the color for road map steps

    hi all,
    my requirement is like ,whenever i select my step in a roadmap it has to be set in yellow color and others has to be in default color.
    thanks,
    Siva.

    Hi......
    Its Very Simple......
    Create an action for the road map.
    for example..... if you have three step in it....
    by default the first step will be in active only...
    ie., Yellow colour
    if you click the second step and it should be active means.... if you have to create a event....in the property of the Roadmap
    Create the on action select event....
    in that event.....
    try to use this code.... based on your scenario.....
    set context data
        DATA: road_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
              road_data TYPE if_componentcontroller=>element_roadmap.
        road_node = wd_context->get_child_node( 'ROADMAP' ).
        road_data-step = step.
        IF step = 'CHOOSE'.
          road_data-prev_enabled = abap_false.
        ELSE.
          road_data-prev_enabled = abap_true.
        ENDIF.
        IF step = 'END'.
          road_data-next_enabled = abap_false.
        ELSE.
          road_data-next_enabled = abap_true.
        ENDIF.
        road_node->set_static_attributes( road_data ).
    navigation
        wd_this->fire_navigate_evt( step ).
    Hope this will help you
    Thanks & reagrds

  • How to set background color for textarea

    Hi all,
    I have created an application in Apex 3.2.
    I am now able to disable the text fields, select lists and textarea.
    Ex:
    function disableDD()
      var v_ddays              = document.getElementById("P2_DELINQUENCY_DAYS");
      v_ddays.value            = "";
      v_ddays.disabled         = true;
      v_ddays.style.background = '#cccccc';
    }The background color thing is working for all the text fields, but the same is not working with the textarea.

  • How to set Border Color for Screens in WebDynpro?

    Hi friends,
    I was actually working on an application involving many screen Layouts.
    After the designing of these Screens i have observed that on all the four borders of the screen are left with white as the background.So i just wanted to know whether we can select the choice of Border of the screen.
    Please do let me know about this problem.
    Thanks and regards,
    Chandrashekar.

    Hi,
    in case your deploying in a portal the WDJ might sport the Portal theme else you'll have to take at look at editing Web Dynpro Themes.
    See <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/webdynpro/wd%20java/how%20to%20edit%20web%20dynpro%20themes.pdf">How to edit Web Dynpro Themes</a>.

  • Set different color for one JTree node

    hello,
    I managed to find how to set a color for Jtree nodes but the problem is that with my method all the nodes will b the same color whereas i'm looking to have nodes of different color depending on the situation.
    the method for setting all Jtree nodes the same color(other than black):
    tree.setCellRenderer(
    new DefaultTreeCellRenderer() {
       public Color getTextNonSelectionColor() {
         return Color.lightGray; } });I WANT TO CHOSSE EACH COLOR FOR EACH NODE
    help plz
    thanks

    You need to implement TreeCellRenderer interface
    public Component getTreeCellRendererComponent(JTree tree,
                                                  Object value,
                                                  boolean sel,
                                                  boolean expanded,
                                                  boolean leaf,
                                                  int row,
                                                  boolean hasFocus)You can know which node is rendering by check value argument. Please read DefaultTreeCellRenderer's code.

    At the start of your program add:
    UIManager.put("ComboBox.disabledBackground", Color.green);
    UIManager.put("ComboBox.disabledForeground", Color.blue);For a list of all the properties you can change with the UIManager see:

  • How can I set the color for a textfield

    Hi all,
    I use a textfield and I want to set the color for characters which are typed in the textfield. I didn't find anywhere a solution for this. Do you know how I should implement this?
    Thanks

    Not possible. If you want this, you'll need to make a custonItem that implements this.
