How to set iBook G4 back to factory settings without disk.

I'm about to sell my iBook G4. But I want it back to it's factory settings. I got told:
Turn off mac.
Restart and as soon as you see the white screen press;
Command and S.
Type in:
/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw
rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
Reboot
but it doesn't reboot it. HELP!

You can't; that procedure will cause it to rerun the Setup Assistant, but it isn't an actual factory reset. If you want to use it anyway, use 'shutdown -h now' as the final command.
The computer shouldn't be sold without its original disks.

just a thought was it carrier locked ?if so I would guess the online Selling Co may have hacked it to remove the lock to sell it as a not carrier locked device

We laid off an employee but don't have his passcode to reset the ipad to it's factory settings. Is there anyway I can do this? I tried following the directions I found:
If you don’t know the passcode to go into the ipad and reset it, you simply need to connect the iPad to iTunes.

The summary window will have the information on the iPad and below that the choice for Restore. But it says it won't connect to iTunes until I enter the passcode: "iTunes could not connect to the iPad ****** because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPad before it can be used with iTunes."
