How to Set Lens Profiles on a tone mapped HDR

I'm trying to work out the optimal workflow for doing HDR (using HDR EFEX 2) on a set of images.
I can apply LR's Lens Correction (Nikon, 17-55mm F2,8) and chromatic aberation removal on the whole set set (using LR Sync) before I export to HDR - then turn off the Chromatic Aberation fix in HDR - and that gives me one workflow.
However, that makes a lot of changes to the TIF's before I go in - so I am wondering if it would be better to export the RAW files converted to TIF using minimal changes from LR e,g, no CA fix or Lens Profile correction; let the HDR do its thing and then make profile corrections, Upright, etc upon return from HDR. However, when I get back from HDR and go into Develop with the returned file and go to Lens Correction, I cannot chose the 17-55mm F2.8 lens from the drop downs. There are only about 4 or 5 lenses now showing as Nikon possibilities-and the 17-55 is NOT among them.
How come I don't still see the full list of Nikon profiles - shoudln't I be able to apply any profile to a TIF (even an incorrect one) ?
I tried pasting the Develop Settings from a virtual copy where I had set the Lens Profile to 17-55 F2.8 - but that only turns on the Lens Profile 'filter' and does not actually force-on the specific correction.
Any thoughts ?

Since lens profiles are format-specific, is that the source of your problem?

In conclusion:
- JPG images are corrected in camera
- SRW images have built profile

is little misleading because suggests there is a profile for Samsung 16-50 lenses
I tried to make a 3 profiles in a Adobe Lens Profile Creator 1.0.4 for 16mm, 26mm and 50mm (but it was very amateur work, so I don't guarantee the quality)

Tone Mapping & HDR Imaging

I am having trouble with learning a few things on PSE 11. I have managed to do my HDR images but I would also like to add tone mapping to single images the forums and tutorial videos only seem to cover these in the professional CS products. surley PSE 11 has this function though can anybody help as I say I know how to create a HDR image but not tone mapping on one single image.

Definitely wasted my money on this poor product. Thanks for all the help folks but think I may just give up on adobe all together and get one of the other editing software programmes. One that will allow me to carry out tone mapping on raw images and offer true hdr. The photomerge/hdr function is good but tone mapping gives better more professional results, so think I will go to another programme.

I don't believe you can add a true hdr plugin to photoshop elements because photoshop elements doesn't handle 32 bits/channel files
in the editor like photoshop cs2-cs6 can.
There are several free hdr programs if you want to try true hdr.
Then you can save the resulting hdr 32 bits/channel file as a tiff and open that file into camera raw from pse 11.

How to set color profile when exporting a RAW file version as a JPEG?

I import my raw files to Aperture and when exporting as a JPEG I want to specify a color profile of sRBG. I cannot see how to set the color profile for the export. Does anyone know how to do this?

When you go to export versions, edit the presets, and there is a drop down box that lets you select the profile.
I'd suggest picking up the Aperture book by Luna, Long, and Harrington. Lots of great info there.

How to set Lens correction in LR3

I am sure this has been answered before but I can't find any answers in LR Help, here or google.
Is there a way of setting the "Lens correction" in LR3 to be on by default? as it is now I have to se tit for each image.

You can do this by updating the 'Develop Default Settings.'
1) Open an image in the Develop module and hit the 'Reset' button in the right bottom control panel.
This is your 'Current Default Setting'
2) Go to Lens Corrections and check the 'Enable Profile Corrections' box. If necessary select 'Make' so the lens appears.
3) Go the toolbar (top of screen) Develop> Set Default Settings> Click on Update To Current Settings.
You will need to do this for each camera model you are using in LR.
You can update pictures currently in LR using Develop Settings 'Copy' & 'Paste' or 'Sync.' Select only 'Lens Profile Corrections' in the 'Synchronize Settings' options popup. Keep in mind this will overwrite previously adjusted images with the 100 default 'Amounts.'
You can also modify the 'Lens Corrections' Profile defaults separately for each lens by making the changes and clicking the 'Setup' up/down arrows and selecteing 'Save new lens profile defaults.'

How to use lens profile from Lightroom 5 in Lightroom 4

I'm using Lightroom 4.4 on a five-year-old iMac. I haven't been able to upgrade to LR 5 because it requires an operating system upgrade, but the technicians at the Apple Store say my machine is too old for the upgrade. I just bought a new Sony 18-105 lens which requires siginificant software lens correction. It has been included in the latest ACR in LR 5, but not LR 4. Is there any way I can locate and load the lens profile for just this one lens in my LR4? I've looked and there is no profile in the Adobe Porfile Downloader I can use.

Zenfolio purposely disables saving of images from the gallery, so requires some deviousness to get to a smallish version of the underlying JPG image, here:

Figgie123, can you provide an original-sized raw file to test with? Upload it to somewhere like www.dropbox.com then post the public download link, here. The file on Zenfolio is small, difficult to even download, and isn't what you're working with when the lens profiles are not working for you. The idea is to repeat what you're doing to see if we have the same issues.

How to set a profile to a system profile in Profile Manager on Server Mavericks

We're trying to create a profile to allow wifi connection to allow AD logins. We have 802.1x PEAP network and we are able to set the profile up but it does not connect until after an user signs in. I know that there used to be a setting in Profile Manager to set the type (User, System or Login Window) but I can't seem to find it now. I know I could edit the profile code but I'd rather not get mucking around in there unless absolutely necessary.

Song itself can not be used as a ring tone.
You can buy ring tones from iTunes store or you can create a compatible ring tone using iTunes (if you know how to do so) or use any of the several "ring tone making" applications available in App store.

These are not a features of the iPhone and iOS. No 3rd party app can provide these functions due to Apple restrictions.

How to set common profile in portal server 6.2

I have two servers installed with portal server 6.2 and Directory server 5.2 in both.
I hav to configure common ldap authentication for server1 and server2 i.e..primary LDAP is server1 and secondary ldap is server2 for both the servers,
when i try to login to server2, the password is authenticated from server1 successfully, but the profile is taking from local server i.e..server2 profile.
Please give some tips to configure external LDAP server for authentication as well as profile.

Lr 3.2 lens profiles are removed during PSE9 uninstall

I uninstalled the trial version of Photoshop Elements 9 from my computer (Win Vista Ultimate 64 bit, 8 gig ram; tons of HD space available). When I used Lr 3.2 later that day I noticed that most of the lens profiles that Lr had installed were now missing. All is not lost; I re-instaled Lr 3.2 and the profiles are back. Just thought I'd let folks know in case you noticed this on your system.

It is a known and unfortunate limitation of how our current lens profile installation/uninstallation works. The workaround is to reinstall LR 3.2.

PS: Setting Project Profile as a mandatory field for Project Definition

I would like to know how to set Project Profile as a mandatory field for Project Definition (CJ20N or CJ01). I tried to look for controls at OPUK config but the Project Profile is not available for definition - either mandatory, optional, suppressed, etc. Would appreciate if you can share your expertise on this.

I would like to know how to include some additonal fields in OPUK/OPUJ. We have defined some .INCLUDE component / fields to SAP standard table PRPS/PROJ. We want those fields to also appear in OPUK/OPUJ so that we could also defined their characteristics - whether input, mandatory, suppressed, etc.

HDR tone mapping

If my understanding is correct, "exposure and gamma" 32-bit to 8-bit HDR conversion method works as
[new value] = ( [old value] * 2^[exposure]) ^ (1/gamma)
Is this right?
Is it applied to each - r, g and b - channel ?
How are the resulting values further proceeded to fit in 0...255 range?
I would be very grateful if you help me understand the way hdr images are displayed in photoshop.

How do I create an ACR custom lens profile if camera exposure can't be set to manual?
I ask this question for the Nokia 808 PureView 41MP camera. It produces stunning image quality but exposure can only be controlled via EV +/- compensation. I need a lens profile to correct for vignetting to get even skies in panorama (which turn out stunningly otherwise). There is no profile for the Nokia 808 PureView I am aware of and I'd like to produce one.
Is the Adobe profile creator able to correct for varying exposure using EXIF or overlapping parts of the chart or background?
Or would the Adobe profile creator ignore EXIF if I use studio flash to enforce a constant lightning situation, even if shutter speed would vary (aperture is constant and ISO can be set constant, just not the shutter speed)?
Or did Adobe produce a profile internally they can share?

If you read the first post, this is the camera-app of a 41MP Nokia Pureview 808 camera-phone, so maybe someone could write a new camera app but the phone is Symbian OS which is dead, making that unlikely.

It would probably be easier for Adobe to rewrite the LPC to allow vignetting to be computed from a single shot of a blank wall without a target in the shot, than to have someone rewrite a camera app that allows manual exposure.
Another idea about how to get the phone to keep a constant exposure would be to experiment with putting darker and lighter objects in the field-of-view away from the target area to make the camera metering adjust things so it’s exposure is the same from one shot to the next. This would take some doing but should work, unless the LPC uses the part of the frame that doesn’t contain the checkboard target in its computations.
You’re basically varying the scene around the target so the camera takes the same exposure of the target each time.
