How to set my windows to open at their default size every time.

Ok, when I connect to my computer with splash top from my ipad my windows resize. Is there a way to set my windows to just open at default size no matter what. So every time I open a program the window is at default factory settings size.

How can I stop Firefox from making itself the default browser every time it upgrades?

Every time there's a new version of firefox, it updates automatically, but it changes the windows file type settings so that firefox is now the default browser.
I have gone to tools > options > advanced and cleared the "Always check to see if firefox is the default browser" checkbox. It's not an issue on startup, only on upgrade.
This happens every time there's a new version of firefox.

Unfortunately the "web browser" I want to use is just a compiled script that examines the URL and then launches the proper browser to open it (because some pages are not standards compliant and work better in a certain browser). It does not appear in the default web browser list, but when I go to Tools > Folder Options > File Types, I can edit the firefox URL, URL http and URL https types and then it will work correctly until the next firefox upgrade.

Often, I will navigate to a site or page within a site and I get the message "restart in 32-bit mode." This is frustrating because once restarted, I'm taken to my browser homepage. I then am required to re-navigate back to where I was when I got the message to restart, sometimes deep with a site.

You can use "History > Restore Previous Session" to get those page back.

How do I stop iTunes from opening and playing a song every time I unplug my headphones?

I noticed today that iTunes was opening automatically and playing the first song in my library. Through some searching in the community here, I figured out it has something to do with when I jiggle the cable on my headphones, plugged into the headphone jack. I have an old late 2008 MacBook with all of the latest OS and iTunes, and I need to stop doing this. I flipped through the settings and the community and didn't find a solution other than "don't jiggle the cable".
I need to do some screen recording for work later on today and I don't want iTunes to keep opening and playing audio while I'm doing this. Does anyone know of a way to stop this from happening software side instead of hardware side? It seems ridiculous to me that iTunes would just open up because my headphone jack moved a little.

How do i get firefox to open with the same window size every time, even if the last instance I had open had a different window size because I resized it??

My firefox opens new windows with a size that equals the current window I have open, or if I have no window open, the last window I closed. I would like to have it open windows the same size every time, regardless of what size the current window is, or what size the last window I closed was. I cannot find a setting or addin to do this anywhere. I have resizer which lets me change the size, but it is annoying that I can't have a default size for windows being opened. I open windows in new windows, not tabs.

If I use an App Tab and click on a link from that tab, then exit and open Firefox, it opens up the website I was on when I closed Firefox the last time as the App Tab. You will need to be much more specific about what you problem is. That is how TM works. That is how you find things to restore from TM, by using a Finder window so that you can browse through the Mac's hierarchy of folders and files.

I would like them to open at the size they were previously resized like they used to in previous operating systems.
