How to set Panel height to browser height?

I have a panel in a module in an application (App > Module > Panel). I would like the panel to take up the full height of the browser window. How can I achieve this? Trying to set height="100%" doesn't work, and makes the panel disappear. Setting the layout to absolute also doesn't work when setting top and bottom margins to 20.
Any ideas welcome.

There is something odd going on. I did what you suggested, but then the module doesn't display. However, when I remove the percentage-based height tags everything shows up.
It seems that the Panel object is sensitive to height being percentage-based. As soon as I set its height to "500" instead of "100%" it displays.

Does anyone how to set a minimum width and height for a stage or scene?
I tried listening for width/height property value changes and then adjust the width/height if necessary, but that causes unpleasant flickering of the window.
In JavaFX 2.1 beta SDK for Mac OS, the Stage class has setMinWidth() and setMinHeight() functions which work very well.
I'm wondering what's the equivalent way to do that when using the FX SDK for Windows.

How to make panel collection with auto height in a ADF page

Hi,
I developed a page in ADF of version JDev 11.1.1.4.0 where I had a adf table under adf panel collection. Now I want to change the height based on my screen resolution.
For width I used the styleClass as "AFStretchWidth" but couldnt find any option for auto height for table due to this I can see vertical scroll bar on my page which I want to avoid.
Even I tired to create a customized styleClass as shown below but its fixed height but not dynamic
IN CSS FILE :

I want to use % in height attribute which is not supporting by panel collection, can anyone tell the alternative way or tell me which version of JDev had this option.

Launch Safari and open its preferences. You set the default browser there.
Not very logical is it? I think a Microsoft plant came up with that one.

i wrote a jlist cell renderer object to able to render a jlabel for the unselected items and a wide and high jpanel with images when an item is selected.
The jlist render all items at the same dimension.
How can i change this built-in behavior?
i printed the items preferedsize:

ok, i give for every index pos a fix jpanel object, and it is working.
What i would like is a mouse selection and the selected item/cell should be rendered by a component with different dimension (containing more information). but this doesn't work.
Is it possible, that the JList cashes the cells dimensions???

i just want to change a cell for another when i click on it.
there are names in the jlist. after having click on one of them, a description panel could be appears in the list instead of the short name. it' a simple ui effect, i think.
is there any other way than write a custom jlist implementation?

the class name for browser window is shown as
"com.ms.applet.BrowserAppletFrame."
i can type cast the browser frame reference to Frame class, but the method setState(Frame.NORMAL) is not working as this method is not available in micorsoft implementation of java.awt.Frame class.
i would like to maximize the brower programatically..

I have been trying to set the ui.textarea's height dynamically and I am not able to do it. This is what I am doing.

The height is being ignored and it is set to the default size. How can I set the height of this component to fit to the size of its cell, which is dynamic?

Thank you for your help! It worked for something like this:
getTextArea2().setStyle("color : red");
but this does not work still.
getTextArea2().setStyle("height: 90%");
I think it still does not know the size of the cell at this point yet. But this is a good tip, thanks anyway!
