How to set proxy credentials to access wms services in Oracle Mapviewer

Hi,
I use Oracle Mapviewer v. 11_1_1_4 and I want to access WMS service but my LAN uses a proxy server that requires authentication.
The mapviewer configuration file doesn't allow setting 'user' and 'password' proxy parameters. Other threads report this problem like the following:
https://forums.oracle.com/thread/620366
The previous thread is five years old. Are there other solutions now? Does last mapviewer allow users setting proxy authentication?
Can anyone help me?
Thanks,
Arturo

go to commons-httpclient-3.1\docs\tutorial.html. In the left hand side you will get a link named as " user guide" and under that "Authentication Guide" link. check it out.

    Thank you very much.

    How to set sourceURL for MS Access database in other computer?You don't.
    How do you determine the port for the MS Access?You don't.
    Databases like Oracle and MS SQL Server have 'server' software which runs on a server computer. Requests talk to that server software. MS Access does not have a server, so there is nothing to talk to.
    You either must use a DSN or create you own server. For the DSN each client must have a mapped driver to the computer with the database. For your own server search the Sun site for JDBC drivers or use RmiJdbc (http://www.objectweb.org/)

  • How to set proxy while deploying a bpel proxy?

    Hi All,
    How can i set proxy while deploying a bpel process. I'm trying to deploy an async bpel process that requires proxy to be set coz to access one of the xsd file requires to go thru a proxy. I have actually set proxy in the following files, setenv.bat and bpel-install.properties under location soa_home\bpel\bin and soa_home\bpel\system\services\install\ant-tasks respectively. When i try to deploy the process through obant.bat, it compiles file but gives an error while deploying stating that it is not able to access the xsd file. While compiling, the proxy setting is taken from setenv.bat and hence compiles successfully, but while deploying it doesn't seem to take the proxy setting set in bpel-install.properties file. Can anyone help me out as to how i can set proxy while deploying???? I'm using soa suite 10.1.3.3.

  • How to set database credentials to form?

    Hi All,
    I'm newbie em Forms. I'm facing a situation and I don't know how to solve it. I run a forms application in a giver browser and I'm always asked to type database credentials in order to connect to this database. In development time there's no problem, however, general users cannot have database user and password to be able to access the form.
    Is there any way to set database credentials (user, password, database) in order to user not being asked to provide these info ?
    thanks a lot

    Hi,
    Plz configure formsweb.cfg file in order to achieve this. Set the parameter 'userid=<YourDatabaseCredential>'.
    e.g. userid=scott/tiger@orcl
    thanks & best regards,

  • How to set proxy setting in all application

    i am using college wifi system, it used by proxy setting and username and password for that,
    in the time of microsft updation I cant access internet, how to setup proxy for that??????

    Hi,
    Was your issue resolved?
    If no, please provide the detailed information of your issue for analysis.
    If the problem happened after Windows Update, let us know which update.
    You could set the proxy as below:
    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. Click the Tools button, and then click
    Internet Options.
    3. Click the Connections tab, and then click
    LAN settings.
    4. Select the Use a proxy server for your LAN check box.
    5. In the Address box, type the address of the proxy server.
    6. In the Port box, type the port number.
    7. If your network requires separate proxy addresses for different services, such as HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP, click the
    Advanced button, and then type the individual proxy server addresses to use.
    8. When you are finished making changes, click OK until you return to Internet Explorer.

  • How to set proxy server name in iasenv.ksh?

    How to set the proxy server host and port in the JAVA_ARGS list in the iasenv.ksh file? IAS 6.5 is the server being used.

    hi,
    Below is what needs to be done.
    1. Edit the variable JAVA_ARGS in iasenv.ksh to include the -Dhttp.proxyHost. For example, the JAVA_ARGS looks like this : JAVA_ARGS="-Xss512k -Xms64m -Xmx64m -Dhttp.proxyHost=proxy.myhost.com -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080"
    2. This JAVA_ARGS is the one under the kjs script settings. You will find this below the comment ## Set all user level JVM flags for KJS here.
    3. Now stop and restart the application server.
    4. Any new URL connections from the servlets/applications within the appserver will now go through the proxy server.
    I have tested this on iAS6.0 SP3. But this should work in 6.5 too. Please let me know if this helps.
    Cheers,
    Vasanth

  • How to set proxy for client-server socket connection?

    Hi,
    I'm using the code found on the following page to create a client (mobile) to server (pc) connection and send a text message.
    http://javafaq.nu/java-example-code-503.html
    This works with mobile operators without proxy, but does nothing when the operator uses a proxy. The question is, exactly how to set the proxy and port values for using that code.
    Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks,

    It's part of the cellular settings, and is usually set up by your 3G provider. You can't choose your own proxy server

  • Airport Express - How to set proxy settings?

    Hello all
    I have an AirPort Express in for testing at work.
    The internet access at work requires going through a proxy. This proxy gets set on domain clients via gpo.
    We have some devices we dont want to put on the domain (wont get the gpo) but we need them to have internet access.
    We could set the proxy on these devices manauly but theres a lot of them.
    I have been trying to find where in the Airports settings you can set proxy settings but cant find anything.
    Can you set proxy settings manualy in the device and if so, where abouts?
    I'm using windows for accessing the Airports settings.
    Thanks for any help someone can offer.

    unfortunately i have to use 1.4 which makes this a bit more tricky.
    my other idea was to use system.setProperties to set the 2 proxy fields and then afterwards set them back to what they were -- however in the case they were null I get an NPE when I try and set them back, so I'd need a workaround for that as well.

  • How to set proxy in code by JDK1.4 ?

    Here are two ways to set proxy in 5.0,
    1,   public static void init() {
        Properties prop = System.getProperties();
        prop.put("proxySet", "true");
        prop.setProperty("http.proxyHost", "10.10.10.14");
        prop.setProperty("http.proxyPort", "8080");
      }  2.Proxy proxy = new Proxy(Proxy.Type.HTTP, new InetSocketAddress(("host"), 8888));
    URL url = new URL("http://forums.sun.com");
    HttpURLConnection con = (HttpURLConnection) url.openConnection(proxy));Now, method 2 could not use in 1.4, and I don't want use method 1.
    Please help me provide a method can use it by jdk1.4 just like No.2
    Thanks!

    prop.put("proxySet", "true"); That does nothing. Try setting it to 'false' and see. This property is an urban myth.
    Now, method 2 could not use in 1.4, and I don't want use method 1.So you are out of choices.
    Please help me provide a method can use it by jdk1.4 just like No.2There isn't one. Obviously.
    What you should do is upgrade to 1.6. 1.4 is past its End of Life and hasn't been supported for some years.

  • How to embed user credentials in Secured Web Service from OBIEE 11gFMW?

    I am trying to invoke a webservice that I successfully exposed as a WSDL Web Service using EBS Integrated SOA Gateway. I am using OBIEE 11g Action Framework which uses WebLogic.
    Here are the steps I completed:
    - I exposed a WSDL web service in EBS R12 via Integrated SOA Gateway
    - I granted the access to this service in EBS R12 to user SYSADMIN
    - I used OBIEE 11g to make a Action to call the Web service (using Action Framework) by searching for the WSDL
    - When I try to execute the action: I get the error:
    Action could not be invoked.
    ServiceExecutionFailure :
    Error invoking web service HR_PHONE_API_Service at endpoint http://ip-10-87-33-3.ec2.internal:8000/webservices/SOAProvider/plsql/hr_phone_api/ Missing <wsse:Security> in SOAP Header
    PROBLEM: I am unsure how to add the credentials for SYSADMIN user and password to add the SOAP username/pwd to the outgoing call. According to the documentation in the Integrators guide, FMW Security guide, and Web Logic guides..seems we have to configure the SOAP call to have the proper credentials. The documentation is not very clear on exactly how to do this. I tried to set up the credential store and an account in ActionFrameWorkConfig.xml but I am still missing something. I am logged into OBIEE as biadmin and I am trying to call a webservie in EBS that is granted to SYSADMIN/sysadmin user. Pls advise.
