How to set query result to emai content?
Dears,
Since user want to get the email with content like a grid format, just like a sql query result with some columns and rows.
Is there any simply way to set the sql query result to the email content?
Thanks!
Create a transaction or modify the existing one which is sending the email.
Take the output of the SQL Query action block and use an XSLT action block (lookup the ones in the Transformation portion of the query template you are using in the SQL Query action block to find the one with an HTML output) to convert it to HTML.
Go the Web group of action blocks and find the HTML Saver.
You can save it to the Workbench (actually NW) by using either web://<yourprojectname>/WEB/<yourfoldername>/<yourfilename> or db://<yourprojectname>/WEB/<yourfoldername>/<yourfilename> (web:// publishes it, db:// does not)
Play around with it a bit to see what will present the data the way you want.
Good luck,
Mike

How to set query result to a single window
I am using SQL Developer 2.1063, and not happy with the default setting of result window. Everytimes when I run a query, the result appear in a new result window. Over a couple of hour I have tense or hundreds of result tabs in the low window. It is not quite fun to remove them one by one.
I am sure it can be set so that all result appear in one result window, as I am used to in the old SQ Developer version. But I failed to find it in Prefernces and in Help.-K- wrote:
This is fixed in the available 2.1.1.
Have fun,
K. K
I've just tested on 2.1.1 and i came to the same conclusion as user10369687
- if you check the box for "Preferences - Database - Worksheet - Automatically Freeze Result Tabs" or click the pin button or run as script (F5) or highlight the sql and run as script (F5) you always get new query result tab.
The option name suggest that if you check the box the same result tab will be used for different queries which is not true, is the oposite way.
If the option name is changed than the confusion will be cleared.

Very odd.You may want to make sure that the file where the system setting gets stored can be updated. In your <Intradoc_Dir>\urm\data\reportpublisher\config\config.hda file, there is a result set named "RPAdminConfigInfo". The third column of that result set should match the value being shown on the configuration settings page. I've changed the format value in the UI, and this file gets updated (and thus I'm getting my screening reports in the format specified in this config file.)
933154 wrote: Also, I wasn't clear on the second part of the question. The Screening Reports appear to use the template INTERNALITEMDETAILRPTTEMPLATE. Is that configuration set somewhere? Is there any way to have the screening reports use a different template or is changing that template the only way to change the screening report layout?Templates are not configurable in that respect - the template name values being called for a service are hardwired in the code (you'd need to override in a component - just not worth the hassle). I'd either edit the existing rtf file, or just check in a new revision to the existing one if the differences are that profound. You'd still need to conform to the BI Publisher standards/methodology in either case. -

If you just need a CSV then search for DUMP_CSV at http://asktom.oracle.com or at this forum
If you need formatting and/or multiple worksheets then you can use free tools like
https://xml-spreadsheet.samplecode.oracle.com/ or https://exceldocumenttype.samplecode.oracle.com/

How to set query parameters to i5Grid
Hello Everyone,
I am working on creating i5Charts.
I mapped query template and display template to i5Chart template but I need to pass the query parameters dynamically.
How to set query parameters to i5Grid?
Pls help with syntax.
Thanks.
Regards,
MinakshiHi Minakshi,
Yes you can try the first 2 options listed by Rohit, the 3rd one however is not supported.
The below syntax should work for you:
1. gridObject.getQueryObject().setRowCount(<Value>);
2. gridObject.getQueryObject().setParameter("RowCount", <Value>);
You can check the documentation at the following link:
http|s://<host>:<port>/XMII/JSDOC/i5ChartAllClasses.html
You could also use the script assistant to check for the JS methods.

How to get Query Results based on Analysis Authorization Ranges????
Hi Experts,
I have gone through the lot of SDN Links, however not able to find the answer to my question.
I have an Authorization Issue, NO Authorization

Need to see the complete query result when I gave the range in Analysis Authorization for Controlling Area 001-005. Controlling Area is auth relevant and right now a variable is inserted in the query for it. If I select Controlling Area 001, the result for Controlling Area 001 is displayed in query. If 002 then also displayed. If I do not enter anything, then I get the <b>Eye 007 error message</b>.
I am not sure how do I display/authorize the entire result in the query for all the Controlling Areas, I have authorized user to see??

How to pass query result to HTML table?
Hi,
i want to get the query result in HTMl table instead of Display Grid. how to do it? i searched in help, it suggests use icommand to do this. but i dont know how to pass the select query result to HTML table.. please help me.
-senthilHi Senthil,
You can create an icommand query. You can then use the icommand retrieval methods to capture and manipulate the query data.
mand_Reference.htm)
Basically what we did was, use the getColumnCount() and getRowCount() methods, once you have these two numbers you can set two for loops and use String getValue(int ColID, int RowID) , within the for loops you can generate the inner html content and write the values either in a html table or html form (which is what we did). This seems to work well, I'm still playing around with it and may post this approach on sdn by end of this week.

How can I export query results from sqlplus on the command line? Are there ways to specify the format such as CSV, TAB, XML, etc?
I've seen one approach that involves creating a shell script and piping the output to a file:
#!/bin/sh
sqlplus user/password <<__EOF__
set heading off;
set newpage none;
select f1, ',', f2, ',', f3 from some_table;
__EOF__
Then pipe the output to a file. Is there a simpler solution to this?http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/ask/f?p=4950:8:::::F4950_P8_DISPLAYID:235814350980

SSMS Addin - How To Access Query Results Grid
Hi,
I want to access Query Result Grid(Results) in SSMS addin but I did'nt found anything.
How can I access Query Result Grid, Rows, Columns and Cells when I executed a script?
Thanks.SQL Server Management Studio currently supports query execution results to be displayed in three different ways: Results to Grid,
Results to Text and Results to File.
By default SQL Server Management Studio is configured to display query results in
Grid format. If you want to change the default to some other option follow these steps.
1. In SQL Server Management Studio, under Tools menu, click
Options as shown in the snippet below.
2. In the Options dialog box, expand Query Results, expand
SQL Server and then select General as shown in the snippet below. In the right side panel choose one of the three options shown below in the
Default Destination for results drop down list and click
OK to save the changes as shown in the snippet below. The changes will go into effect once you open a New Query window.
Query Result Options for Results to Text
In this format you have the option to display the results in a different tab as well as setting different output options.
In the Options dialog box, expand Query Results, expand
SQL Server and then select Results to Text tab as shown in the snippet below. In the right side panel first select the checkbox for
Display results in a separate tab and then select the checkbox for
Switch to results tab after the query executes and then click
OK. If you would like to also display the column name in the result set then choose the option Include column headers in the result set
as shown in the snippet below.
The options you can use in the Text format are:
Output format: - In the above snippet you could see that by default the output is displayed as columns aligned. Some of the other options that are available are Comma Delimited,
Tab Delimited, Space Delimited and Custom Delimited. If you choose the Custom Delimited option in the Output format drop down list then you need to specify a character of your choice for the delimiter in the
Custom delimiter text box.
Include column headers when copying or saving the results: - If this option is selected, then whenever the results are copied to clipboard or it is saved to a file the column headers are also copied along with the results.
Include the query in the result set: - The text of the query is displayed as part of query output under the messages tab.
Scroll as results are received: - If this option is selected, then the display focuses on the most recently returned records at the end of the results set.
Right align numeric values: - If this option is selected, then numeric values will be aligned to the right of the column.
Discard results after query executes: - If this option is selected, then the query results are not displayed in the reviewing pane.
Display results in a separate tab: - If this option is selected, then the result set after query execution will be displayed in a new tab instead of at the bottom of the query window.
Switch to results tab after the query executes: - If this option is selected, then after the query execution the screen focus will be set to the results tab.
Maximum number of characters displayed in each column: - This sets the maximum characters to display for any one column. So if you have a column that is 500 characters this will only show the first 256 if you keep the default setting.

How to set Query SQL Statement parameter dynamically in Sender JDBCAdpter
Hi All,
I have one scenario in which we are using JDBC Sender Adapter.
Now in this case,we need to set Query SQL Statement with a SELECT statement based on some fields.
This SQL statement is not constant, it would need to be changed.
Means sometimes receiver will want to execute SQL statement with these fields and sometimes they will want to execute it with different fields.
We can create separate channels for each SQL statement but again that is not an optimum solution.
So ,I am looking out for a way to set these parameters dynamically or set SQL statement at Runtime.
Can you all please help me to get this?Shweta ,
<i>Sometimes receiver will want to execute SQL statement dynamically</i>....
How you will get the query dynamically? Ok Let me assume, consider they are sending the query through file, then its definitely possible. But u need BPM and also not sender JDBC receiver adapter instead, receiver JDBC adapter.
SQL Query File ->BPM>Synchronous send [Fetch data from DB]--->Response -
>...............
Do u think the above design will suit's ur case!!!!

How to set a hover for Accordion content?
Hello,
I'm trying to figure out how to make a vertical side navigation using the accordion feature.
I've got it all working for what I want to do except for a hover on content.
I have it set for hover on the labels so it shows the blue bar and yellow text on hover or open like I want.
What I'd like now is to have a background on each content line when I hover on it (and when selected it stays the background shown on hover).
I've got a background image for the yellow gradient highlight shown below, but can't figure out how to set the Content for hover like I did the Top Level Tab.
I'm attaching a couple of files for demonstration in case the above is not clear.
thanks!
