How to set SORT_AREA_RETAINED_SIZE from a value to NOT SET in spfile

Hi,
I am trying to change the SORT_AREA_RETAINED_SIZE=148374 to NOT SET in spfile using the following command:
alter system set SORT_AREA_RETAINED_SIZE='' scope=spfile;
but couldn't get this?
is there any other way except changing manually in pfile and change to spfile?

Did you restart the instance after you make the change? The values from the spfile are read only at instance startup.

How to restrict the function if values are not correct.

In my requirement i am reading the actual data, for example my full week data is $70(for 7 days).
above week values i am distributing to 7 days by equally for example D1 is $10 d2 is $10...d7 is $10 and i am giving flexibility to my user he can change the data on those days but always total equals to $70.
if plan total is not equal to actual total i have to pass the error message, how can i check the plan total and actual total are equal or not?, and if the total is not equal i am passing the error message and i have to restrict the user don't save the data into TR cube,how can i restrict the save button.???
i don't want to allow the not equals data into my cube.how can i do it???
If you have sample code please can you share with me if don't have code can you give idea...

here i am creating planning function which contains parea and key figure name.
but in actual layout having month days like 28 or 29....
i have to read the all the actual values of month and i have to read all the plan values from another layout after user done the modifications on plan values.
here why i am reading the all days data is full value is not available but in layout i created full value it is total value of Column one c(1).
once user done the modification & refresh then i have to read the plan values.
how can i read and compare if you have any sample code welcome.here i am using version zero for plan and actual.

Hi. I have a Yahoo! POP mail account.. Can anyone advise me how to setup my iPhone so it ONLY deletes email from the iPhone and NOT the server. So, after I read an email on the iPhone and delete it, the email remains in the INBOX on the server? If not, I will send a feedback to Apple. BTW - I can dl and send email just fine. Thank you.

When you setup Yahoo on the iPhone it defaults to IMAP because Yahoo offers free IMAP Push for iPhone users, as discussed in this article:

If you add your Yahoo account as "other" it will be setup as POP.
With IMAP messages are stored on the server, and messages created in one email client, such as the iPhone, show up in the sent mailbox on both. In addition messages moved to a different folder on the iPhone, will be in a different folder when you access your Yahoo mail via a web browser or another IMAP client. Likewise message you delete, will also be synchronized and deleted.

Upgrade process has to execute from the server where message server is running.
So I guess it is not possible to initiate the SAP upgrade from application server.

How to require licence from a different serverUrl (not the one in DRMContentData)?

I have a special request for requiring the movie licence from a different serverUrl (not the one I get from DRMContentData.serverUrl). I tried DRMManager.setAuthenticationToken with the new url but it didn't work.
Does anybody know to do it or is it even possible to do it?

What is your particular workflow/use-case?
Unfortunately, the license server's URL is baked into the DRMContentData and cannot be modified once a video has been packaged. But, if you describe what problem you're attempting to solve, perhaps there is a different workaround.

If I understand your question correctly your scenario 1 comes closest to a solution:
1) Create/activate Datasource in APO system and test it using tcode RSA3 (assuming it is SAP APO)
2) Replicate the Datasource in BW + create infopackage which will load the data into PSA
3) Create a DSO (if you like a layered approach) and a Cube on top + a Multiprovider above
4) Connect BW Datasource to DSO and DSO to cube (Transformations + DTPs to load)
5) Create a query on the Multiprovider

How to stop user from entering value for already existing data

Hi ,
We have a situation , where we need to give user a template for entering the data and then send it to the database. But we want that if user has already entered the value for a combination, then he should not be allowed to select the same combination again in that template.
In other words , there should be write access but not update access.
So I have two questions related to it:
1. How to build report with giving user , the drop-down list of available members under each dimensions. (I know that we can provide list by writing all of them in excel and then using those values in drop-down)
2. How to restrict the user for selecting the combination which has already been selected.

for your first question...
you can build an EVDRE in a hidden area/sheet to display all values of a desired dimension in rows. Set Option SuppressDataCol to 'Y'. Also maintain MemberSet options to display only the values you need.
Now you can reference your DD-box to the key- or description range.
With some VBA-code you can refresh this EVDRE on Workbook_Open and also set the range (attribute ListFillRange?) of you DD-box dynamically to the RowKeyRange.

I have a context node which has some value attributes.the value to these attributes have been set in their setter/getter methods . How do i read data in the do_prepare_output ,because this attribute does not get recognised when i do get_property_as_string( iv_attr_name = 'XYZ' ). Please let me know how this can be done .

Value attributes are only for display purpose.
Check where is the value for the Value Attribute you are trying to read getting stored in SET method.
For example, Employee Responsible has a value attribute RESPONSIBLE_NAME_UI on the screen
but in turn the value gets stored in the 'RESPONSIBLE_NAME' and 'RESPONSIBLE_TEXT'.
You can get these fields in SET method.
Now when you want to read, use the logic available in GET method for the value attribute like this
value = me->get_responsible_text( attribute_path = '//TRADE/RESPONSIBLE_TEXT' ).
IF value IS INITIAL.
value = me->get_responsible_name( attribute_path = '//TRADE/RESPONSIBLE_NAME' ).
ENDIF.

I am having some difficulty interpreting your requirement. You say:

Is the output you described more likely to look like that below?
Ext material grp..... Order Number.....Operation key.....Actual Qty
100 A.H.........................10....................... #/02.............. 500 (200 + 300)
100 A.H........................ 20....................... #/01...............100
100 A.H........................ 30....................... #/02...............400
If so, you could use extended syntax to pull back the max operation key and actual qty sum in the context of each ext material grp, order number combination (or whatever dimensions are needed to give you the grain needed). EG
max operation key = max (operation key) in (ext material grp; order number)
sum actual qty = sum(actual qty) in (ext material grp; order number)
