    Sorry, I didn't read carefully your question. My answer refered to client side only. You can set the focus programmatically with Body.setFocus(). In the appropriate action method or action listener call

    or maybe
    this.body1.setFocus(this.textField1.getClientId());
    to avoid errors due to changing client ID or save the client ID of the TextField in a private member and call Body.setFocus() in prerender().

    So, the term "user" was used in the context of "Application Developer".
    The idea behind Apex Application Builder is Team working and therefore you have features for team working. You want to go the reverse way for your reasons.
    The only way I am aware of is to create separate workspace for each of the developers. This way each developer sees only his / her applications in Application Builder. If the developers use the same db tables/views then you will have to assign the schema that holds the data to each of these Workspaces.
    But if you want to ensure that developers do not even see each other's data then they you have to keep the data also separate.
    While doing all this just do not forget that some day the applications have to be deployed and end users have to access it !
    I am not aware of any other mechanism to isolate developers.

    When I enter the url http://s01:8081/apex I get an error (page cannot be displayed (404)). But when I enter http://s01:8081/apex/f?p=4550:1:1481295403790110 the apex logon page appears and everything works well.
    For testing I turned on debug logging and entered again http://s01:8081/apex
    The trace file contains the following logging entries:

    I'm using apex 4.0 on oracle 10.2.0.4 enterprise edition with the embedded pl/sql gateway. I've to instances on this server (dev and prod). The development instance works without any problems.
    The query returns:
    ORA-24231: Database Access Descriptor (DAD) APEX not found
    ORA-06512: in "SYS.DBMS_SYS_ERROR", line 86
    ORA-06512: in "SYS.DBMS_EPG", line 58
    ORA-06512: in "SYS.DBMS_EPG", line 299
    After googling or searching on metalink for the error message I'm redirected to oracle documentation which tells me the reason for the error but nothing about to correct it - that's why I love oracle documentation so much...
    Cause: The specified Database Access Descriptor (DAD) did not exist.
    Action: Make sure the name of the Database Access Descriptor (DAD) is correct and the DAD exists.

    There are a couple of ways of doing this:
    If you're editing on the canvas, press Shift + Enter.
    If you're working in Express View (see lower right hand corner of Project Siena), you'll need to copy a hard return from another app such as Notepad.

    ok, I figured it out: you need a <purpose>.....</purpose> tag in the create XML. I put it as a child node to the <activity> tag. Works fine. Well, it is not described in the API description. There it talks only about the <activity> tag, or i completely overlook the obvious.So, next question: is there a complete scheme description available? Would be quite helpful.

    The problem is, the width of the DataGridColumn is average, how to set the column width by the length of each field? I can calculate the rate of each field ( field / fields ), but I don't know how to change the property of the DataGridColumn.width.

    have a component called Login in the components folder, and I need

    top, I've declared these components as xmlns:c="components.*" So
    logically, the property I'm trying to set is c.Login.empNum.text. I
    can't figure out the correct syntax to get this to work, and I've
    tried everything I can think of. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    However, as I believe is expected, OS X (and Windows for that matter) will create files by default with character encoding of Cp1252 (Latin-1). That is, the FILE encoding in the file metadata - the Byte Order Mark I believe. The file itself, not the characters written to it.
    Apps like TextEdit and Mail have settings that let you determine the encoding of text produced. The default would normally depend on the character content of the file, ranging from ASCII for basic English to Windows Latin-1 (Win 1252) or ISO Latin -1 (ISO 8859-1) to UTF-8 for other content.
    Win 1252 is not ASCII, but has twice the number of characters in the latter.
    Byte Order Mark is something totally different --it's a particular character used to signal certain encodings.

    As a simple example, just `touch somefile` from terminal creates a file in Cp1252 -- I'm obtaining that info by opening in jEdit by the way (anyone know of something better?).

    I found "my own way". I create MyDefaultStyledDocument which extends DefaultStyledDocument. Then I overwrite two methods: insertString and remove. Using offsets values I manage to block everything before " > ", and I protect output from editing. But I still have a problem:
    This works fine (add "> " to JTextPane text):

    I don't know what you mean by "Code 39" because my Output Designer software doesn't offer that barcode (or do you mean "code 3 of 9?). In any case, are you trying to control the size of the text (which is what I think of when you refer to "label")? If you are, then just change the font & size. If you are wanting to modify the physical characteristics of the barcode itself (height & length for a certain number of characters) then you are probably out of luck. Or at least in for some trial & error.
    There are a series of "barcode.xxx" files in the 'config' folder where Output Designer was installed to. These are text files that contain the physical characteristics of the various barcodes for various printers. The parameters that you would be interested in is the height and width of the bars (black & white). For example, a barcode might be defined as .400 high with narrow bars 3 "dots" wide, wide bars 9 "dots" wide and white space the same or different. Presumably changing these values would affect the generated barcode. For example, in this example the wide bars are 3 times the width of the narrow bars so I would assume that relationship would have to remain. To make the resulting barcode shorter you would then use 2 for the narrow and 6 for the wide.
    You would have to make the change in the file(s) that would be used for your printer(s).
    There are four width values for each of the parameters. Most of the barcodes only use 2 but some have 4. I'm assuming that when there are 4, like in "4 8 12 16", that the barcode definition has 4 different widths of bars and/or spaces.
    There is no guarantee that the scanning hardware & software will "see" and interpret the resulting barcode correctly.

  • How to set the focus to the tabbed pane title?

    Dear Friends,
    I'm using tabbed pane (JTabbedPane) in my application. I have 2 tabbed panes and each contain some text fields and buttons.
    In first tabbed, I have 2 text fields, OK and Cancel buttons. I have to set the focus to the title of the tabbed pane after it lost focus from the Cancel button (focus has to move from Cancel button to tabbed pane title by pressing tab key).
    Could anyone please tell me how to set the focus to the tabbed pane title?

    Could you please tell me how to set focus for title of the tabbed pane throug FocusTraversalPolicy?
    because usually we set the focus for the component by requestFocusInWindow().
    for example set focust to the button OK,
    btnOk.requestFocusInWindow()likewise could you tell me how to set focus to Title of the tabbed pane?
