How to set the java service to "Core"
Hi,
I would like to set one of the java service to "core" but the check box is not editable. Can any one let me know if there is a way to make it core?
Thank you.
Hi Hareesh,
Hope you are doing good.
Thats great.
The application startup mode is set to decrease the initial load on the J2EE Engine and to minimize its startup time at each restart. The default value is "lazy" and you should use the most appropriate startup modes for your applications. This is because all WD applications are designed started lazily and they should be all stopped and get only started when they are triggered for the first time (i.e. by first invoke of the given WD application). The decision was taken that way because SAP wanted to prevent start-up time problems when Web Dynpro applications were started right with the server. This is why they always start upon first request.
So you can change the "StartUp" for the application you deem fit. 1 equals to manual, 2 equals to lazy and 3 equals to always (using configtool as mentioned earlier).
Specifying the Application Startup Mode

How the method to set the JAVa logo off in JInternalframe?
any 1 know? how to set the java logo off? using wat method?
You could try setFrameIcon(null). However the javaDoc warns that the look and feel may display a default one anyway. If that doesn't work you could try changing the default in the UIDefaults with the key InternalFrame.icon
It contains an instance of javax.swing.plaf.metal.MetalIconFactory$InternalFrameDefaultMenuIcon@6a5671 when I'm running showing the metal look and feel.
I haven't tried this and I'm making the assumption that this is the correct icon.

How to retrieve the java object in a proxy service in osb -- Plz help
Hi all,
I have a singleton java class which runs whenever the weblogic server gets started and store the output in its object. I need to access this java object from a proxy service in osb.
We tried using java call out and retrieved that object but we couldn't know how to parse that object into XML.
We are not sure of using the java call out in osb to solve this purpose because whenever we use a java callout, that particular java code will run which is not the case of singleton class.
So kindly help us how to retrieve the java object which holds the output without running the java code every time because its already run and holding the output in its object.
Regards
Prabhuhere the doc http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/userguide/context.html#wp1106656
but I guess you are already at the stage of getting a POJO in a first Java Callout and passing the POJO to a second Java Callout, which should then return it to OSB as a XMLObject.
My recommendation is to write a Java function which returns a XMLObject and uses a XMLCursor to populate it with the values of the POJO.
An XMLObject returned to the OSB is automatically transformed in a "XML" variable (which in reality is represented as a XMLObject in the Pipeline context)
Here some code sample:

How to Set the APPR status in Background for service orders
Hi Friends,
could anybody please ,let me know how to set the APPR satus for the seleted service orders( IW32) in background?
Regards,
Xavier.P.Hi,
Thanks for the reply and you are correct, I am using BADI and I am calling this BAPI inside the method.
Now I am trying to execute this BAPI from SE38 and I am getting the error message, "Error in processing ,Function was not executed". I am able to see this message in the return parameter of the BAPI (Error type - 'E'). And it is giving dump after the call to BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.
I am using conversion routine 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSN_INPUT' before passing the WBS element to the BAPI.
Please help in this regard.
Regards,
V Kumar

How to set the JMX Engine parameter in Process Administation?
Hi, All,
I installed OBPM10gR3 over WLS 10gR3 clusting environment. OBPM Engines started successfully.
There is one admin server running on localhost: 10101, one manager server running on localhost:10103, another managed server running on localhost:10105.
I wonder how to set the JMX Engine configuration in Process Administration. How about the port? 10101 or 10103,10105? How about the Credentials, weblogic as the default user?
I'm appreciated you can share me the JMX Engine configuration in Process Administation for weblogic clusting. Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
BillHi, All,

How to set the classloader mode in Netweaver 04s
Hi All,
Can anybody tell me how to set classloader mode in Netweaver 04S?
In websphere , there is direct option you when you select the project through admin console. But I am able to find the place in the netweaver where I can set such mode.
classloader mode such as parentfirst, parent last etc
I want to set the mode parent last.
This is very urgent requirenment.So please let me know if anybody is having any input on this.
Thanks,
ChandanHi Siddhesh,
Thanks for replying.
Actually,NW has its own version of jaxrpc related jar files (in <drive>:\usr\sap\J2E\JC02\j2ee\cluster\server0\bin\ext\webservices_lib folder) which are of a older version and are being picked up instead of the jars that are present in my application package. As a result, there are exceptions like:

This problem is solved in websphere as probably because we have classloader configuration set through Admin console.
But just wanted to know does we have such option in NetWeaver? If yes, how to set the classloader mode to parent last.
Or if you know some other solution then let me know.
Thanks,

Hi,
Good Evening,
How to set the format mask to text fields based on currencies.Hi Anil,
i am taking one method for setting the format mask to front end values
like this
public String xxformatmask(String test,String currency,OAPageContext pageContext)
String currencyFormattedNumber="";
try {
java.lang.Double num = new java.lang.Double(test);
currencyFormattedNumber = pageContext.getOANLSServices().formatCurrency(num,currency);
catch(Exception e) {
System.out.println("the exception is"+e);
return currencyFormattedNumber;
every time call this method
for text fields like this,
OAMessageTextInputBean commval=(OAMessageTextInputBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("commval");
String lesscomm=commval.getValue(pageContext).toString();
String lesscommformat=xxformatmask(lesscomm,currency,pageContext);
float lesscomm1=Float.parseFloat(lesscommformat);
i got the error at runtimeee

How to set the Environment Variable
I'm going through a tutorial on how to create an application and run from the command prompt. I have finished installing my jdk 6 Upadate 5 but i don't know how to set the Environment Variable for the javac compiler and the java interpreter to find my program.
I have created an application called "ExampleProgram" and have saved it on drive C:. How do i set the Environment Variable so that the "javac" compiler and the "java" interpreter can find itgyesa_say wrote:

I Google and had several information on how set it, but i tried all of them and none seem to work.I typed "how to set environmental variable in winxp" in Google and the very first link provided all the information I needed (you need). These things will make much more sense if you go through it yourself rather than having someone else spoon-fed you the answer. -
SRM 4.0- How to set the default values for product type (01) only for SC
The radio button Service should not be visible.
Also for search help (e.g. search for internal products) where a search should only be possible for product type 01 (goods). The system should not display the product type and internally always search for goods only.
How to set the default values for product type (01) only for SC
We needs to use Search help BBPH_PRODUCT which having parameter PRODUCT_TYPE
Here we can set defalut value 01 but it is not correct one since same search help is using several places.
We need to limit the search help results only for SC.
Kindly help out me ASAP.The easiest way to set defautl values is to edit the batch class.
Goto the characteiristic and go to update values.
In here you probably have something like 0 - 100 as a spec range.
On the next line enter the default value within this range. At the end of the line, click in the box in the column labelled "D". This indicates the defautl value for the characteristic.
If you need to you can do this in the material classification view as well.
Just to be clear, these values will only show up in the batch record. You can not have defautl values in resutls recording screens.

How to set the background for all components?
hi
Does anybody know how to set the DEFAULT background color in an application.. I need it because in jdk 1.3 the default bgcolor is grey and in 1.5 it is white.. and I wish white as well.. so to make it also white in jdk 1.3 I need to use the (a bit annoying) anyContainer.setBackground( Color.white ); and these are lots in my app.. So my question is: is there such an overall class with a function (say UIManager.setComponentsBackground( Color color ) ) for such a purpose?
any tip or link would be greatly appreciatedDoes anybody know how to set the DEFAULT background color in an applicationthis might get you close

How to set the conversation id programmatically in a BPM process
Hi all,
I am using BPM/SOA 11g PS3.
Is it possible to set the conversation id programmatically in a BPM process starting with a none start event?
I know I can set it easily if I use a BPM process starting with a message start event.
All I have to do is set it in the "wsa:MessageID" node in SOAP Header when I initiate the process instance.
However, I have no idea how to set the conversation id programmatically in a BPM process starting with a none start event.
I looked for if there is any appropriate method in the Java api for the process instance management, such as IInstanceManagementService and CompositeInstance, but no method seems to be appropriate.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Regards,
Kenji

I have a webservice call in a process activity and if the call does not work i get a soap fault and the fuego.lang.ComponentExecutionException . My process requires that i catch the exception infact any kind of exceptions that occur on that call and perform another activity in the process.
I have defined an exception handler at the activity level for java.lang.Exception and java.lang.RunTimeException.
i don't see anything in the catalog which would handle the SOAP fault OR the componentexception.
