How to set the message deletion function

What must I do to allow my verizon.net messages to remain in my inbox for a few months? I don't see anything in "settings" that allows me to manage this...Thanks!

I don't know where the old messages are going! Right now they only go have messages dating back as far as Nov. 21--which is only a few weeks' worth.
My husband set up my Microsoft Outlook 2010 for me about 6 mos ago, so I mostly  view my emails through Microsoft Outlook. But I should still have access to them through my Verizon account when I'm not at home. And when I read the response below to another person whose messages had also vanished, I wondered if this could be related to my problem?? (sorry to be stupid about this.., )
"Most likely an e-mail client downloaded them."
Microsoft Outlook is an email client, and is most likely the cause of the deletions. Check your settings in Outlook to make sure "Leave a copy of messages on server" is checked.

  • How to set error message inside the loop...module pool

    Dear all,
Am creating Table Control without wizard. In that i am looping the values, that is, Once if i entered 5 digit values means, 12345-08... the values should be stored in z-table like this 12345,12346,12347,12348 . That is 5-8 it as to update in z table. for this i createdloop at itab and inside that i written a code to count the value and all. and also its clearly updating the value in ztable too. now i want to know, if once again i entered the same value means, like 12345-08.. it as to show error messge.I dont know how to set the condition with error message inside the single loop .... Its all comes under module pool program.
    Thanks,
    Santhosh.R

If i understood your doubt, here goes the answer.
LOOP AT itab INTO wa_itab.  " This is your loop
l_tabix = sy-tabix. "l_tabix receives the line of the loop
READ TABLE itab WITH KEY itab = wa_itab.  "itab is the same tab of your loop
IF sy-subrc EQ 0 AND l_tabix NE sy-tabix.    "Here the sy tabix have the value of the read table.
    *     Here you do your error treatment.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
Explanation: When you are looping your internal table, you use a READ TABLE to see the already recorded registers. If the read table finds one register (sy-subrc EQ 0) and the this register is not the one of the current line (l_tabix NE sy-tabix). It means you have a duplicated register.
Maybe there is someway easier to do this, but this is what i thought now.
I hope this was your doubt hehe.

  • How to set the AS2 fileName for outbound Functional Ack 997 auto generated by Oracle B2B

    Hi Friends,
How to set the AS2 fileName for outbound Functional Ack 997 auto generated by Oracle B2B.
External Trading Partner is sending the EDI 856 via AS2 URL to our Oracle B2B Server.
In the inbound 856 agreement, we have checked the option of Funtional Ack and also Functiona Ack handled by B2B is yes.
We have the outbound agreement which is sending that Functional ack 997 (auto generated by oracle b2b) and we have specified the Outbound AS2 channel of the Partner.
997 doc is being sent to external partner using AS2 channel, but the filename is generating as '40101'.
Please can you let me know how to set the AS2 fileName for outbound Functional Ack 997 auto generated by Oracle B2B.
    Appreciate your valuable answers!!
    Thanks,
    Amirineni

    Amirineni,
AFAIK, there is no option to set the file name when the 997 is generated automatically by B2B.
Alternatively, if this is a must requirement, you can generate the FA from backend and  send to B2B with MSG_TYPE =9. In this case, you can set the header with filename (How to set the actionname property in B2B 11g)

  • I have set the Message History setting to delete messages after 30 days. Since doing this, Messages app is quite buggy.

I have no need to keep huge, old Messages conversations, so I recently set the Message History to delete messages after 30 days. Since doing this, however, I have noticed that the Messages app has become fairly buggy. Sometimes I'll open the app and it will look like there's no conversations, and the app prompts me to send a new message. Sometimes, I'll open the app to reply to an incoming message and my response will hang at 90% sent and then when I go back to the conversation list, it displays my outgoing, as-yet-unsent response as a new message, complete with little blue new message marker. The only way I have found to temporarily resolve these issues is to restart the phone. What's going on here?

    Hi,
According to your description, I understand that you need to apply a rule to delete messages older than 30 days for all mailboxes in your environment. Is it right? If I misunderstand, please point it out.
As all above suggestions, we can use retention tags and retention policies in Exchange 2013 to achieve it. To apply it, we can try the following steps:
    1. Login to Exchange Admin Center(EAC) in Exchange 2013 as an administrator.
    2. Click compliance management > retention tags.
    3. Click New Tag > applied automatically to entire mailbox(default).
    4. Edit the Name, Retention action and Retention period(30 days), then
    Save it.
    5. Click Retention Policies tab > New.
    6. Edit Name and add the Retention tags you created a moment ago. And
    Save it.
    7. Navigate to Recipients > Mailboxes.
    8. In the list view, use the Shift or Ctrl keys to select multiple mailboxes.
    9. In the details pane, click More options.
    10. Under Retention Policy, click Update.
    11. In Bulk Assign Retention Policy, select the retention policy you created to apply to the mailboxes, and then click
    Save.
    Hope it helps.

  • Multiple message deletion functionality disappears

My iPhones 5S with iOS 8.1 loses multiple message deletion functionality. I tap a message in communication thread, chose more options, mark messages to be deleted and push waste bin. When used a few times the waste bin is replaced with camera options and deleting multiple messages is not possible; see screenshot. In order to re-establish the functionality, I have to close the message app down and restart it. Are there any solutions or work around to this?

    Hi Kare Gronholt,
If you are having issues with your iPhone's ability to delete multiple messages, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
OS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -

  • How to write the exceptions in function module

    dear all,
how to write the exceptions in function modules with example.
    thanq
    jyothi

    Hi,
    Raising Exceptions
There are two ABAP statements for raising exceptions. They can only be used in function modules:
    RAISE except.
    und
    MESSAGE.....RAISING except.
The effect of these statements depends on whether the calling program handles the exception or not. The calling program handles an exception If the name of the except exception or OTHERS is specified after the EXCEPTION option of the CALL FUNCTION statement.
If the calling program does not handle the exception
    · The RAISEstatement terminates the program and switches to debugging mode.
    · The MESSAGE..... RAISING statement displays the specified message. Processing is continued in relation to the message type.
If the calling program handles the exception, both statements return control to the program. No values are transferred. The MESSAGE..... RAISING statement does not display a message. Instead, it fills the system fields sy-msgid, sy-msgty, sy-msgno , and SY-MSGV1 to SY-MSGV4.
    Source Code of READ_SPFLI_INTO_TABLE
The entire source code of READ_SPFLI_INTO_TABLE looks like this:
    FUNCTION read_spfli_into_table.
    ""Local Interface:
    *" IMPORTING
    *" VALUE(ID) LIKE SPFLI-CARRID DEFAULT 'LH '
    *" EXPORTING
    *" VALUE(ITAB) TYPE SPFLI_TAB
    *" EXCEPTIONS
    *" NOT_FOUND
SELECT * FROM spfli INTO TABLE itab WHERE carrid = id.
    IF sy-subrc NE 0.
    MESSAGE e007(at) RAISING not_found.
    ENDIF.
    ENDFUNCTION.
The function module reads all of the data from the database table SPFLI where the key field CARRID is equal to the import parameter ID and places the entries that it finds into the internal table spfli_tab. If it cannot find any entries, the exception NOT_FOUND is triggered with MESSAGE ... RAISING. Otherwise, the table is passed to the caller as an exporting parameter.
    Calling READ_SPFLI_INTO_TABLE
The following program calls the function module READ_SPFLI_INTO_TABLE:
    REPORT demo_mod_tech_fb_read_spfli.
    PARAMETERS carrier TYPE s_carr_id.
    DATA: jtab TYPE spfli_tab,
    wa LIKE LINE OF jtab.
    CALL FUNCTION 'READ_SPFLI_INTO_TABLE'
    EXPORTING
    id = carrier
    IMPORTING
    itab = jtab
    EXCEPTIONS
    not_found = 1
    OTHERS = 2.
    CASE sy-subrc.
    WHEN 1.
    MESSAGE ID sy-msgid TYPE sy-msgty NUMBER sy-msgno.
    WHEN 2.
    MESSAGE e702(at).
    ENDCASE.
    LOOP AT jtab INTO wa.
    WRITE: / wa-carrid, wa-connid, wa-cityfrom, wa-cityto.
    ENDLOOP.
The actual parameters carrier and jtab have the same data types as their corresponding interface parameters in the function module. The exception NOT_FOUND is handled in the program. It displays the same message that the function module would have displayed had it handled the error.
    Or
just have to decide what exceptions u want and under what conditions.
then declarethese exeptions under the exceptions tab.
in the source code of ur function module.
    if
like this u can code .
now when u call the function module in tme mainprogram.
if some error occurs and u have declared a exception for this then it will set sy-subrc = value u give inthe call of this fm.
in the fm u can program these sy-subrc values and trigger the code for ur exception.
    Please reward if useful

  • How To Set JMS Message ID

    Hi,
I am working for a client that uses a MQ Series as their interface routing infrastructure.  They have written some custom tools that log MQ messages.  Their tools expect the MQ message ID to be in a specific format YYYY_MM_DD_HHMMSS_AAAAAA where AAAAAA is a unique set of characters based on the millisecond.
Is it possible to set the JMS message ID on a JMS receiver adapter?
Thanks in advance for your help,
    Craig

    Hi Craig,
as it looks you have to set the Message Id in a special format. I am not sure if this is possible at all. I didn't find a way to influence how XI sets the JMS Message Id.
Maybe you could work with the JMS Correlation ID instead and have your client adapt his tools. You can use either a User-Defined Function or a Java Mapping, setting the so-called Adapter-specific attribute DCJMSCorreleationId
Here you can find an example how to do this in the User-Defined Function:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/03612cdecc6e76e10000000a422035/frameset.htm
In a Java Mapping it is similar:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/09b16006526e72e10000000a422035/frameset.htm
This example uses the File Adapter, but the same applies for the JMS Adapter.
The JMS Adapter has the namespace http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/JMS
Have a look at this one to find out more about the Adapter-specific attributes of the Receiver JMS Adapter:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/10/b1b4c8575a6e47954ad63438d303e4/frameset.htm
I hope that this information is of some help for you.

  • Manipulate / set the Message-ID?

    Hi folks!
I have the following question! Is it possible (e.g. in a java-mapping) to explicitly SET / CHANGE the message-ID of a subsequent message?
Short description of the task we have to implement: We get a big XML which includes many seperate invoices. Each invoice has some "unique data which identifies the invoice uniquely". This data should be used as "message-ID" within XI (monitoring, retry, ...) So I like to use BPM to SPlit the big XML and send the separate XML Invoice asynchronously to a subsequent process. The message-ID for this asynchronous sending-process should be SET to some identifier which is included in the XML Invoice itself ...
Any ideas how to accomplish that? Is it possibly to <b>SET the message-ID</b> (to read it one can use the "MESSAGE_ID" System constant within java-mapping or java function - I know). Has anybody done that already?
Thanks for any input you can give on this ...
    Best regards, Andy

    As Michael stated above ...
All the info so far is regarding <b>getting</b> the values of runtime constants (and the special case of getting them in the BPE environment) but not how to <b>SET</b> them (if even possible) - maybe one solution is that I use the HTTP Sender Adapter to post the message to the XI Integration Engine itself - in this POST one could manipulate the "MSGGUID" Parameter for defining the Message-ID explicitly?
    Could this work?
    Thanks, Andi

  • How to set the parameter of xi header in server proxy

    Hi,
Does anyone have idea, how to set ref_to_message_id of a client proxy in the server proxy? My problem is, I send a message to a server proxy. The server proxy receives the message, retrieves the message id and tries to set the ref_to_message_id of the message, which will be sent to a client proxy, with its message id. I only find some useful functions to get these information of client proxy and server proxy like message_id etc. in runtime. But I did not find the "set" function to set these parameters. Maybe someone can tell me at first, if it is possible to set such parameters in runtime in server proxy.
    Can anyone help?
    regard
    hu

    Hi Chilla,
what I want is to monitor the related message bundle easily. In my server proxy, many different client proxies are called and messages are transfered. So under the SXMB_MONI I will find many message exchanges for one server proxy call. Because the server proxy is called so often, I cannot distinguish under the SXMB_MONI, which message exchanges are caused by which server proxy call.
So I have an idea. If I can set the ref_to_message_id of the messages for the client proxy calls with the message id of the server proxy call, then I can at first select the message of the server proxy call and find the messages for the related client proxy calls easily using the button "referencing message". The message id of the server proxy call can be retrieved. So my problem is now, how to set the ref_to_message_id of the messages for the client proxy calls with this messag id in the server proxy.
Of cource, if anyone has better idea, how to resolve the situation in another way without setting the ref_to_message_id, pleases inform me.
    regards
    Bin
