How to set up an USB game controller

How to set up an USB game controller on a mac? I am at wits end! Need some help?

If you already have an iTunes account, simply use that. You do not need a new account.
Open the iTunes app on the iPad. Go to the bottom of the screen and tap Sign in.

    Sure.
Just make certain that it has drivers for the Windows version you plan on using.

  • "Xbox 360 USB game controller" and MacOS 10.5.x

Anyone know if the "Xbox 360 USB game controller" will work with Mac game that can use USB game controllers?
    thanks,
    --Apple //GS

I recently got Rock Band for Xbox 360 and I was able to get the drum kit to work using two pieces of software, Gamepad Companion and an Xbox 360 controller driver for OS X.
You should be able to find both with a google search. I would think that the Xbox controller will be very similar to the drum kit.
I used the drum kit in garageband as a rudimentary midi drum kit (the mapping of the drum pads the keyboard was by trial and error, but it only took about 15 minutes).

  • How to set up 2 separate Game Center profiles on 2 separate iPads but same Apple ID

how can you set up 2 separate Game Center profiles on 2 different iPads with one Apple ID?

First you both have to have your own user accounts on the MBA and separate iCloud accounts.  From there it's relatively simple to create you own libraries and have your respective iPhones link to those library when both devices are logged into the same iCloud account.

  • How to set an attached USB drive to automatic sleep using Airdisk?

    Greetings all!
I am looking for a way to set my two USB drives to sleep when they are not being used. I only use them a few minutes a day, and don't want to run them down or use the electricity to keep them spinning.
It seems there has been some discussion about this but I haven't been able parse all the conversations. Some people seem to have gotten it to work, while others are relying on a drives "internal" mechanisms. It would be great if someone (perhaps at Apple?) could chime in with an overview of the problem.
Perhaps it is linked to the method of authentication - ie., (using Airport Utility 5.1), whether the Disks > File Sharing > "Secure Shared Disks" > is with "disk password" or another method?
Some have suggested a radio button for a future firmware/other update such as:
"Set drives to sleep when not in use" (Let's hope for this!), but I am hoping for a simple solution in the near future.
    Any thoughts out there?
    best to all.

    Hello Andy,
    Thanks for your reply.
    1. For using Microsoft Outlook rules, we need to keep the computer on, even after work or the colleague is on leave. That is not allowed in my company.
    2. For sending an auto-reply email based on subject, that is impossible because the emails from customers are different and we don't have a basic standard.
    3. Could you please elaborate how to set a transport rule in Exchange server to achieve the goal?
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Steven
    1. Only client rules require that the Outlook client remain open. An auto-reply rule should be server-side, so no need to leave Outlook open.
    2. Yep!
    3. Walk through the hub transport rules and you see one that replies with a rejection code. Thats the best you can get with a hub transport rule and not something I would recommend in your scenario. You could also search around for 3rd party solutions.

  • How to set BIOS for USB boot on Satellite A50-110?

    Hi.
I own a Toshiba Satellite A50-110 and I have a bootable USB flash drive, but I don`t know how to boot from this USB drive.
I suppose I need to access and configure BIOS. How can I do it? Where do I get information about this? What are the steps to complete this task?
    TIA

    Hello
As far as I know in BIOS cannot be configured anything. As far as I now on this old notebook you can use just USB floppy disc drive for boot up (press U key at start up) but not USB flash drive.
Enter BIOS settings with ESC key at the start up and check all listed bootable devices.

  • Usb game controller compatible with arch

I just rediscovered mupen64 and snes9 and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good usb controller that will run easily with arch. I never got mupen64 working well enough in leopard to warrent buying a controller before. I've been looking at
    this:

    or this:

any other suggestions/confirmation that either of those works well.

I'm using a Logitech Dual Action Gamepad right now and it works perfectly.  I'm not really playing any games on Linux at the moment but I do fancy myself a game programmer so I test the stuff I'm working on with this pad.
I agree with the above posters that "PC" controllers seem to always lack the quality of "console" controllers.  I went to a local Gamestop to buy a "wired" Xbox 360 gamepad but they told me they didn't have any and Microsoft isn't making them anymore.  So, I bought the Logitech gamepad and I'm pleased with it.  It doesn't seem to be of low quality at all.  I am glad in a small way that I bought it instead of the Microsoft gamepad because I prefer not to support Microsoft if I can find a suitable alternative.  Kind of like why I use only Linux .

  • How do you install steelseries 3gc game controller in mac os?

What are the steps for installing the SteelSeries 3GC videogame controller using Mac OSX? How can I make this controller feel like I'm playing a Playstation 3?

This is really a question for the Acrobat JavaScript forum. There are two locations you can install folder-level scripts, but the one you want to use is the "user" folder. This is given by the following line of code executed in the interactive JavaScript console:
    app.getPath("user", "javascript");
Which on my system 10.6.8, Acrobat 9.5.4) gives:
    /Macintosh HD/Users/georgejohnson/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/9.0_x86/JavaScripts/
It will be slightly different for Acrobat 11, but should be very similar.

  • Latest iMac: USB power requirements unclear, Microsoft USB game pad stopped working

    Hello,
I am sorry that the cut and paste information is in German.
I am a long time Apple iMac user and used the Game Pad since years with no USB power issues.
Now, I have just received my late 2014 iMac with Maverick OS X.
    Hardware-Übersicht:
      Modellname: iMac
      Modell-Identifizierung: iMac15,1
      Prozessortyp: Intel Core i7
      Prozessorgeschwindigkeit: 4 GHz
      Anzahl der Prozessoren: 1
      Gesamtanzahl der Kerne: 4
      L2-Cache (pro Kern): 256 KB
      L3-Cache: 8 MB
      Speicher: 16 GB
      Boot-ROM-Version: IM151.0207.B00
      SMC-Version (System): 2.23f11
Ever since, I cannot use my Microsoft USB Game Controller any more.
    Controller:
      Produkt-ID: 0x028e
      Hersteller-ID: 0x045e  (Microsoft Corporation)
      Version: 1.14
      Seriennummer: 075841A
      Geschwindigkeit: Bis zu 12 MBit/s
      Hersteller: ©Microsoft Corporation
      Standort-ID: 0x14600000 / 16
      Verfügbare Stromstärke (mA): 500
Erforderliche Stromstärke (mA): Unbekannt (Gerät wurde nicht konfiguriert) <--- Device unknown, and not configured. The power requirements are unclear.
What can I do to get the USB controller accepted again? I have a 3rd party OS X driver that does work for me. I'd assume, this issue is at the HW layer, during boot-up and initial hand shake, not a SW driver's issue.
    Sincerely,
    Michael

I guess I should have read the forum first.  I zapped the pram and everything seems back to normal.  Sorry for not trying this 1st.  Issue solved.

  • Req any examples of how to use a USB midi controller/keyboards with Labview TIA

Req any examples of how to use a USB midi controller/keyboards with Labview TIA

    Hi,
To access the MIDI ports you will need to call the Windows SDK. To send MIDI commands is relatively easy, here is an example that shows you how to send data to a MIDI controller or keyboard.
As far as input goes, this is the hard part. There are a series of functions that you need to call to open up the device, set some buffers and and possibly a callback to get notifications on the incoming data.
Reading MIDI data will not be an easy task, your best bet will be to implement this in a DLL and call that DLL in LabVIEW, there should be some code available o the web.
= "http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/multimed/htm/_win32_multimedia_... is a link to the Windows multimedia functions that you could use for MIDI input.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
    Regards,
    Juan Carlos

  • How do I set up my USB drive to work on airport

How do I set up my USB drive to work on airport

First be sure that your external USB HDD is formatted in either HFS+ or FAT32 as these will be the only two disk formats that the Extreme can share out to network clients.
Once you verified the format, you just need to connect the HDD to the USB port on the Extreme. Finally you would use the AirPort Utility to enable the HDD for sharing.
For AirPort Utility v6.x: Start the utility > Select your AirPort Extreme > Select Edit > Select the Disks tab. Verify that the utility correctly identifies your HDD. Then select (check) the "Enable file sharing" option, and then, select Update. After the base station updates, you should be able to "see" the shared HDD in Finder on your MacBook Pro.

I purchased the Logitech F310 game controller for my 2011 MacBook Pro. How do I get the driver installed for it. The Disk that came with the controller is a mini disk and will not insert into my laptop.

May not make a difference anyway. The Logitech support site does not show drivers for Mac OS for the F310:
    http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support/gamepad-f310?crid=411
I'd contact their support to find out if there is a Mac driver available, and if they can either give you a web link to get it, e-mail you the software, or snail-mail you a standard-size disk with the drivers.
