How to set up free voice calling

This will work for any wifi/data enabled device- regardless of whether it is an android smartphone without current service, or a  wifi/3g/4g tablet
I currently enjoy free local/long distance calling on my Xoom, and I use the Motorola H730 bluetooth headset. very nice.
what is needed:
1. download Groove Ip
2. download Google Voice app (for sms texting/voicemail)
3. (recommended) bluetooth headset
then go to Google Voice website, get a free number ( do not port your current Verizon data number!)
then forward Google Voice calls to your tablet's Google Talk via the settings on Google Voice.
log into your Google account via Groove Ip app, punch in your new number.
Configure, and tweak:
Audio/Echo Settings>Basic Echo Canceler
Troubleshooting>Synchronize Voice
Troubleshooting>Mic Source>Android Default
Allow 3g/4g calling
Accept calls on answer

Hey there,
First you will need this information to update the registration buy form:
http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/893/bc_893.html
To show hide things based on the options if the form has not been overly modified BC by default hides the CC fields if thats not selected with its own javascript. If a template etc has made changes to that then you need to add you own javascript in for those behaviors.

  • How can i download my voice call conversation

    Hello,
    Could someone please tell me, how can i download my voice call conversations. Its very importantn for me to get this download. Please reply me asap or could someone give me the skype customer support contact number so that i can talk to them and request to send those files.
    Thanks.

    Hi, VoiceCallConv, and welcome to the Community,
    If you mean transcriptions of your calls or the recordings, Skype does not record any calls.  Only third-party add-on software such as can be found in the Skype App directory could do this.
    If you are referring to lists of calls, and the information provided in your account is not sufficient (check your My Usage, where you can export the call history), again check the Skype App directory under the Chat Management sub-heading.  The Super Users tend to recommend a freeware product offered by NirSoft.  My favorite is RecollX.
    Here is a link to the Skype App Directory: http://shop.skype.com/apps/

  • Setting up a Voice call from ONT/OLT to Softswitch via SBC

                       Hi,
                             I am setting up a voice call over SBC to softswitch basically SIP over ISUP,now i have a small issue that my SIP user is getting registerd at both SBC and Softswitch and able make OG/IC calls.
    Now my question is whether will i be able to ping the client ip from SBC,since i am not able ping the client ip.is there any firewall restriction at OLT/ONT side.

    Hi HW,
    The PBX is a Panasonic TA308. There is no special interface to the PBX,  the  line port on the SPA3102 is simply plugged into an extension, like another phone. Anyone calling that extension will have the call routed through the SPA & PAP2 to the remote phone.
    The whole setup is totally seamless, & transparent to the user. As we are on a local network there is virtually no latency. There is a slight tendancy to echo,  but the echo suppression mostly takes care of that.
    THis has been a good exercise, and once I got my head around what I was trying to do, with your help,  it was pretty easy.  I think the hook flash timing would be the thing which gives most users a problem, as it seems to vary widely around the world. I was surprised at the difference between the US and NZ (.1 & .9 to .07 & .13).  There didn't seem to be any other critical differences.

  • HT5661 how to set pic display while calling to contact ?

    how to set pic display on calling to contact person ?

    Hello HaD,
    The image control is installed with either the Vision Development Module or the NI-IMAQ driver, and is not a standard component found in LabVIEW.  If you have questions about the image display control or vision functions it would be better to post in the Machine Vision forum:
    http://forums.ni.com/ni/board?board.id=200
    In regards to your question, this menu is not available as a runtime property, and therefore the user of program will not be able to set it directly through the control.  Instead, you will need to allow the user to set it programmatically in LabVIEW by use of a property node.
    To create this property node, right-click on the image display icon on your program's block diagram, and select:
    Create » Property Node » Palette » Palette Type.
    You will then be able to change the value of this property by right-clicking on the property node icon and selecting "Change All To Write".  To create a control on the front panel that the user change at runtime, right-click on the “Palette Type” input, select:
    Create » Control
    If you have any questions about the application architecture required to implement this design, please continue to post in the LabVIEW forum.
    I hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Jasper

  • Hands free voice calling?

    Is there a hands free voice activation accessory so I can comply with the July California Hands Free Law?
    Does it allow me to say Call Work" and dial my work number?

    I came here to ask this exact question. It's bound to be the #1 question for the iPhone in CA around the time the law goes into effect. If Apple or someone else has not already thought of it they would have really dropped the ball. After all, Apple is headquartered in CA too!
    BTW I use a small Motorola bluetooth hands free device that works great. I just need the voice dialing capability.

  • How to set it so voice recordings aren't interrupted by incoming calls

    So, recently when I've been recording with the voice memos, and a text or an incoming call comes in, it INTERRUPTS THE VOICE RECORDING.  Why would I possibly WANT this, Steve Jobs?
    The other day, I was recording a performance I was doing on stage.  I got a text from a friend saying "I'm not going to make it to your performance.  Sorry."  And my recording was interrupted.  Of course, I didn't notice until I got down off the stage.  Big dissapointment.
    Is there a simple preference to be set for, like, "Don't let voice memos get interrupted"?  Check!
    Thanks for your help

    Battletard wrote:

    Steve doesn't make the iPhone himself.
    Nor is he in the user forum.... well he could be but I haven't seen him.
    The reason it interrupts is because the iPhone is a phone.
    And the main function is .... a phone.
    Anything phone related pops in front of any other app.
    So as gdgmacguy suggest, if you want to turn off phone features for a while the activate Airplane mode.
    Which would probably be also the correct setting if your phone is where there is a performance.
    Have some respect for the other performers; you would be unhappy if someone got a call during your performance right?

  • How to set Date in RFC call.

    Hi,
    I am trying to set date in structure when calling RFC.
    ICall = function.getImportParameterList();
    ICall.getStructure("IORDER").setValue(eDate,"EDATE");
    EDATE is date field in Structure in RFC with data type "D" and it is taking date in "dd.mm.yyyy"; formate.
    I am setting date  "dd.mm.yyyy"; in string format with eDate variable and it is throwing error.
    Can any one tell me How I can set date for "EDATE" field in proper format.
    Can I do JCO.TYPE_DATE date1 = new java.util.Date();
    And How I can convert date in acceptable format "dd.mm.yyyy"; for RFC.
    Thanks for your help
    Ashish

    Hi Sateesh,
    Thanks for your Answer.
    I used java.util.date and it works fine.
    Icall.getStructure("IOrder").setValue(new java.util.date(), "EDATE")
    I came to know that java date variabel can be passed without any extra conversion to ABAP type D variable .
    Is it OK? As I am setting  java date variable directly to ABAP type d variable in RFC.
    I have awarded you points for very helpful answer.
    Thanks.
    Ashish.

  • How to set up Free option at checkout (no address, cc info required)

    Hello,
    My site http://www.bigwordpictures.com will offer paid and free downloadable products.
    Since I'm no coding pro, I'm starting out with one of the default BC templates (Appliance King) and modifying it to meet my needs.
    Here's a roadblock I've hit...
    When someone checks out with just free products in his cart, I would like there to be no credit card fields, nor billing or shipping fields visible on the screen.  And I don’t want a radio button marked FREE to be seen.
    BC support gave me this page of instructions:  http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/893/bc_893.html.   I have followed these instructions, but they make a FREE radio button visible, and the fields for address information and credit card payment are still visible.
    Any suggestions on how to make the page detect that the cart contains only free items, and let the customer proceed with "purchasing" a download without entering shipping or cc info?  (In fact, shipping address makes no sense for ANY of my products since they're downloadable, but I'm requiring addresses for paid items because I have to for credit card transactions.)
    Thanks!

  • How to set a checkbox to call javascript for calling package procedure?

    Hi folks,
    I have a report where each row includes a dynamically created checkbox:

              data.object_id,

      end;
    end tk_test;Is it possible to call "tk_test.add" procedure everytime when user checks any of checkboxes and to call "tk_test.remove" when user un-check any checkbox?
    How should I modify a javascript in step 1 (currently = alert('||data.object_id||') ) to obtain similar solution?
    Please help,
    Tomas

    Hi Earl,
    Thanks for your reply.
    Well this is exactly what I'm planning to use within my package :). Above example was just a really into into problem.
    In reallity:
    "add" prcedure will add a record into collection (plsql table - stored as a type)
    and
    "remove" procedure will remove it from it
    But my problemis how to call it from javascript.
    You're probably suggesting to use/maintain this collection within APEX and not within database?
    Here is how I've defined my collection:
    create or replace type ap_choice_temp_object_type is object
        ( person_id number,
          choice_id number,
          added     date
    create or replace type ap_choice_temp_tab_type is table of ap_choice_temp_object_type;       And then in package I have procedures:
      procedure clear_ap_choice_temp_tab is
      begin
         l_choice_temp_tab := ap_choice_temp_tab_type();
      end;
      procedure add_ap_choice_temp_row (p_person_id number,
                                        p_choice_id   number
                                        ) is
      begin
        if l_choice_temp_tab.exists = false then
           clear_ap_choice_temp_tab;
        end if;
        l_choice_temp_tab.extend;
        l_choice_temp_tab(l_choice_temp_tab.last) := ap_choice_temp_object_type(person_id => p_person_id,
                                                                                choice_id => p_choice_id,
                                                                                added => sysdate
      end;
      procedure remove_ap_choice_temp_row (p_person_id number,
                                           p_choice_id   number
                                           ) is
      i integer;
      begin
        -- this should be more optimalised -- this version is just 1-st try !
        print_ap_choice_temp_tab;
        i := l_choice_temp_tab.first;
        loop
           if l_choice_temp_tab(i).person_id = p_person_id and l_choice_temp_tab(i).choice_id = p_choice_id then
             l_choice_temp_tab.delete(i);
           end if;
           i:= l_choice_temp_tab.next(i);
           exit when i is null;
        end loop;
        print_ap_choice_temp_tab;
      end;
      procedure print_ap_choice_temp_tab is
       i integer;
      begin
         dbms_output.put_line('Start');
         i := l_choice_temp_tab.first;
         loop
            dbms_output.put_line(l_choice_temp_tab(i).person_id||' | '||l_choice_temp_tab(i).choice_id||' | '||l_choice_temp_tab(i).added);
            i:= l_choice_temp_tab.next(i);
            exit when i is null;
          end loop;
         dbms_output.put_line('End');
      end;Testing code
    begin
      tk_test.clear_ap_choice_temp_tab;
      tk_test.add_ap_choice_temp_row(123,321);
      tk_test.add_ap_choice_temp_row(777,555);
      tk_test.add_ap_choice_temp_row(9999,4445);
      tk_test.remove_ap_choice_temp_row(777,555);
      --tk_test.print_ap_choice_temp_tab;
    end;     Do you have any nice example how to use what you're suggesting in APEX? I mean "create some collection at page display time, let the user update the collection (through checkboxes) while they're scrolling through things."
    I think this example would be usefull for many developers :)
    Thanks,
    Tomas

  • How to set SOAP Header When Calling Business Service (OSB) Using Split-Join

    Hi,
    We need to call WSDL based webservice which requires heading static content for successful call. As we need to call the same service parallely, hence we want to use Split-Join.
    Looked at couple of forum links, noted that we can't play with headers while working with Split-Join.
    For curiosity, just want to check any option other than using proxy as mediator in setting header information.
    Regards
    Venkata Madhu

    Venkata,
    You still have the option, if you hv n't tried this one.
    To enable this capability, you must declare the header parts along with the body parts in a single request/response message in the Split-Join WSDL and in the WSDL of the proxy or business services invoked by the Split-Join. With the message parts declared in the WSDLs, SOAP header content is available to Split-Joins in the request/response message variables.
    Following is an example of the message and binding definitions in the WSDL.
    Message
    <wsdl:message name="retrieveCustomerOverviewByIdRequestMessage">
    <wsdl:part name="retrieveCustomerOverviewByIdRequest"
    element="co:retrieveCustomerOverviewByIdRequest"/>
    *<wsdl:part name="serviceContext" element="sc:serviceContext"/>*
    </wsdl:message>
    Binding
    <wsdl:input>
    <soap:body use="literal" parts="retrieveCustomerOverviewByIdRequest"/>
    *<soap:header message="tns:retrieveCustomerOverviewByIdRequestMessage"part="serviceContext" use="literal"/>*
    </wsdl:input>
    hope it helps !!

  • How to set jndi context to call EJB?

    Hello!
    install the j2ee sdk 1.4 on a server that has the ip address 211.83.144.48.
    then I deploy a EJB ,but I want to call the method from another pc.
    The problem is that how I initialize the jndi context? How can get the url for "Context.PROVIDER_URL"?
    thks.

    Hi there, I am having what appears to be a very similar problem.
    the code I am using for gaining the initial context is as follows:
    properties.put("java.naming.factory.initial",JNDI_FACT_CLASS_NAME);
    properties.put("java.naming.provider.url", s);
    return new InitialContext(properties);
    where these instantiated variables when pulled out of the hash are :
    java.naming.factory.initial : com.sun.appserv.naming.S1ASCtxFactory
    java.naming.provider.url : iiop://lich.ecs.soton.ac.uk:3700
    this works absolutely fine on the localhost machine, running both client and server, however when
    running on seperate machines I get the same ORB_COMM error as previously stated:
    WARNING: ORBUTIL.connectFailure
    org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: vmcid: SUN minor code: 201 completed: No at com.sun.corba.ee.impl.logging.ORBUtilSystemException.connectFailure(ORBUtilSystemException.java:1739) com.sun.corba.ee.impl.logging.ORBUtilSystemException.connectFailure(ORBUtilSystemException.java:1757)
    ..etc..
    apparently this is caused by :
    java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused
    at sun.nio.ch.Net.connect(Native Method)
    at sun.nio.ch.SocketChannelImpl.connect(SocketChannelImpl.java:460)
    at java.nio.channels.SocketChannel.open(SocketChannel.java:146)
    ...etc...
    the server is definately up and running, and can provide all other services to the remote client, using both the IP and the DNS resolved name, and JVT seems to work fine, just not corba look up's of a queue.
    I am using the Sun Application Platform Server 8 and the standard j2EE RI versions of corba , JNDI e.t.c
    if you could suggest any further reason why the localhost may be resolvable, but the remote may not I would drastically appreciate the help, as I have been scouring forums for 2 days now, and exhaused all
    other potential solutions.
    thanks

    How to set the number of rings before voice mail answers?

    For me its:
    1. Open the phone app and dial *#61# on the Keypad. Press the Call button.
    2. Locate this text on the screen: "Setting Interrogation Succeeded, Voice Call Forwarding, When Unanswered, Forwards to +" and record the 11-digit number after the + symbol.
    3. Touch the Dismiss button. Now enter this code on the Keypad: *61*+ followed by the 11-digit Forwards to number recorded in step 2, followed by *11 and *ringtime#. Ringtime is the number of seconds you want your iPhone to ring before voicemail picks up. Your finished code should look something like this:
    *61*+18555513466*11*30#
    In the example above the ring time is set to 30 seconds. Press the Call button.
    4. You should receive the message: Setting Activation Succeeded. Press Dismiss and next time you receive a call it will ring for the new amount of time before going to voicemail.
