  • TS3988 I am trying to set a new iCloud account up on my iPad  -  how do I delete my old account?

I set up a new iTunes account for my family and want to apply it to our iPad.  Since the whole family uses it i want a seperate iTunes and iCloud account while keeping my old iTunes account dedicated to my iPhone and iPod only.  How can I remove my old iTunes account from the iPad and set up new iCloud account.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)

The 4G/iOS 6 does not have an Activation Lock. That started with iOS 7.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

  • How to set a new email account for iCloud?

How set a new email account for iCloud?

There are two separate things you can do.
You can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account, and if it has @mac.com or @me.com versions these cannot be reinstated once deleted.
More information on aliases here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a490a
Or if you want a completely separate account you will have to create a new iCloud account and sign into it in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts and Calendars. Note that any one device can create only three iCloud accounts.

  • HT204053 Was using same apple ID for two iPhones. Just got new Apple ID for second phone.. Now how do I get new iCloud account

How do I set up my iCloud account on this phone

You turn off data syncing with the current account, then delete it from you phone, then set up the new account and migrate your data to the new account.  On the phone that will be getting the new acount, start by going to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.  When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone.  After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from his phone, not from iCloud.  The other phone will not be effected by this.)  Next, set up a new iCloud account on this phone using your new Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On.  When prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to this new account.

  • How to set up new ICloud ID again, How to set up new ICloud ID again

Hi, there, I am An Pham. I had a problem to set up ICloud and I would like to help me to set it up again like as a new. Thank you for your helping me before and now. Thank you very much.

To create an iCloud account you go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your Apple ID on an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS 5 or higher.  You can also create an iCloud account on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.4 or higher) by going to System Preferences>iCloud and signing in with your Apple ID.  See http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/.
You cannot create an iCloud account on a PC, you can only sign into an existing iCloud account on a PC.

    Hey AvaLondon,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues setting up your Mail account on an iPhone 5. The following resource may provide a solution:
iOS: Gmail account will not connect to Gmail server
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3058
    Resolution
    1. Check that your device is connected to the Internet by opening Safari and loading a webpage, such as google.com. If you cannot connect to the Internet, try the steps in this article.
    2. If you have other email accounts on the device, check if those accounts can send and receive email.
    3. If the issue is isolated only to the affected Gmail account, visit this website: https://www.google.com/accounts/DisplayUnlockCaptcha.
Complete the form to unlock the account.
    4. If the issue persists, follow this Google support article.
    5. Once the account has been unlocked, or the correct password entered, check that the issue is resolved. If not, remove the affected Gmail account from the device and add it to the device again: Settings > Mail, Contacts and Calendars > Add Account > Gmail.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • RE: Unable to set up new iCloud account.

When I tried to set up an account, a screen popped up saying, "Due to high demand, icloud is not available for new users.  Try again later."  Is this a temporary thing?

Ok, its not even Christmas yet, so is this going to be weeks...months...what?  Part of the troubleshooting the sync issues (I can't sync any iDevices at the moment) is syncing them all on iCloud then switching back--so I can't do my troubleshooting to fix my devices because of this, not nearly as simple as just wanting to try a new feature.  Apple big time fail.

  • Setting up a new icloud account on iphone

I have an iphone that was previously my wife's and it still has her icloud on it.  I just created an apple id, but I can't figure out how to get a new icloud account that is no longer synced with my wife's devices.

    Hi 500mphnovel,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
If you've just created a new Apple ID, that email address can be used for your iCloud account.  All you have to do is sign out of your wife's iCloud account, and sign in with your new Apple ID and password.
Here are a few articles that will explain this:
Using your Apple ID for Apple services
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4895
The "Frequently Asked Questions" section of this article may be relevant for you.

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5796?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
    iCloud: Change iCloud feature settings
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2613
Before you delete your wife's iCloud account from your iPhone, turn off each of the features ( contacts, calendars, etc. ) and when prompted, choose to "Keep on My iPhone" if you wish to keep that information.  If don't want or need any of this, then skip down to the selection below to delete the iCloud account completely.
    Turn iCloud features  off
On your iOS device’s Home screen, go to Settings > iCloud, then tap to turn off iCloud features.
When you turn off a feature, you’re asked whether you want your device to keep a copy of your information stored in iCloud for that feature.
Once you have saved the contacts, calendars, etc. that you want from the current iCloud account on your iPhone, then you can delete the current iCloud account from your device.
    Turn off iCloud completely
On your iOS device’s Home screen, go to Settings > iCloud, then at the bottom of the screen, tap Delete Account.
At this point, I would suggest turning off the phone, and restarting it.  Then, tap on Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.  Tap on Add Account.  Tap iCloud.  Now type in your new Apple ID email address and password.
    Have a great day!

  • Trouble in creating a new iCloud account from the existing one

my dad gave me his iPad which he bought(iPad 2) it's troubling me with the iCloud account, the iPad has my dad's existing iCloud account and I want to delete it but I don't have the password so does my dad he doesn't have the password for the account.so my question is could you assist me on how to create a new iCloud account without having the password of the old one.it uses iOS 7.1.2.

You won't be able to delete the existing account in order to set up a new one without the password for the old account.  If your father doesn't remember the password, he can reset it as explained here: iCloud: Change your iCloud password.

  • How do I setup an icloud account?

    Hello everyone:
I have followed all of the limited instructions to set up icloud on my Windows 7 Ultimate computer.  I have downloaded the icloud control panel, but I do NOT see how to set up an icloud account.  I have been trying for several hours now to figure this out.
Thanking you all for any and all assistance and suggestions that you can give me.
    Sincerely,
    LadyJanette

You have to first create the account on an iOS device (an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS 5 or later) as described here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html.  After the account is created, you then sign into the account on your computer in the iCloud control panel, as described here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html.

  • I created new iCloud account but have not received email to verify

Set up new iCloud account but never received email to allow me to verify

    Hi Sergei1447,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
If you are not receiving the verification email from creating your iCloud account you may need to resend it. Also make sure you are checking your junk/spam folders. Please use the following article as a reference.
    iCloud: Account troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3988
I can't sign in to iCloud on my Mac due to an alert stating that my email address has not been verified.
If you can't sign in due to the alert “Account not verified - Check your email for instructions for verifying your account”:
Close and reopen iCloud preferences before attempting to sign in to iCloud again.
If that does not resolve the issue, check your email folder and Junk folder for a verification email sent from Apple.
If there is no verification email in your email folder or Junk folder, click the Resend Verification Email button in iCloud preferences.
    I hope this helps,
    -Joe

  • How do I set up a new iCloud account

I changed my Apple ID because I have changed my IP and my previous address is no longer active. Thanks to some kind people on here I've resolved problems with apps etc but now have a problem with iCloud. It keeps asking for my previous log in details but then doesn't recognise them. From what I've read I need to set up a new iCloud account but can't find any info on how to do it. I can only find info on initial set up on new devices.  Can anyone help?  I ought to point out that I'm 60 with only average IT skills and I don't find Apple products intuitive no matter what the say!
