Hello,I have just upgraded to new version of Skype.I would like to set up the video calling for my privacy. I have read the instruction;All saying to go to"tool"but I cannot find "tool" in new version of skype,Please advise how to set up video calling,I just want to talk like a phone, without exposeing my privacy to everybody. I have a requirement like, There were two items on the form name email Id, Confirm email Id.
I have to ristrict the user to not to copy from email Id item.. make him/her to enter the value into confirm email id item field manually.

Just an opinion here, but that is about the dumbest requirement I have ever seen.
I am always annoyed by web sites that ask me to enter my email twice. I ALWAYS copy the email address from the original entry and paste it into the second one.
People enter their email addresses so often, it takes a real klutz to not get it right. And what makes you think that if they enter it twice, that they won't enter it wrong both times anyway???

Are you just asking because you want to know, or do you have a problem you need to solve? I don't know how to write a program, but I think what your are describing is not an unusual thing for a program to do. The * tells you that changes have been made since the last save, and the program reserves a portion of memory for undo functions. I suppose a coder could tell you how it works, but I don't think it would help an average user to know, but that's just my opinion.

How long can lync video call stay active?

I tried to setup 2 client and wanted to see how long they can keep active with the video call
The 2 clients are Linux UBUNTU 12.xxx + ICA 13.1; Lync server/client 2010
I connect to 2 different desktops from the 2 clients, video call one between each other
It kept alive for about 2-3 hours, and then the video call is terminated by itself with message e.g. "the user has no response"...... the desktop connections are fine
I tried at least 3 times and it is always the same result
Any idea if this is one of the lync limitation e.g. video call can only stay alive for 2-3 consecutive hours?

There is no hard set limit. The video call could potentially go on indefinitely assuming no outside (ex: network or client issues) interference.

After the skype 5 headache which many users are experiencing, I just found "" vtok "" in apples app store.
It supports VIDEO and CALL over wifi AND 3G !! It does work fantastic and is FREE.
BUT you would have to set up a free "Google mail" address to get it to work.
It's painless and is a great option.

To turn HD Voice and Video Calling ON, you can go to Apps> Swipe to tap Settings>Tap Advanced Calling> Tap Advanced Calling again> Tap the Advance Calling Toggle to turn ON.
To make video calls, you can go to Apps> Contacts> Select a contact> Tap Call icon> From Active Call screen, tap Camera. (The caller will have to accept the change to a video call).
