How to set WRT54G v7 router so signal is forwardet- using bridge or repeater mode?
What i need to set in WRT54G so its signal is beeing repeated?
I want to use WRT54G v7 as to who internet comes in and it works like that right now and it has passw admin changed and WPA2 personal set up
I have another router tenda w311r+ and there i have options in WDS- Lazy, Bridge and Repeater modes..
Lazy mode is without asking BSID but others ask so i asume Lazy repeats every routers around signals..
But what then is difference in Bridge and Repeater mode?
I wasnt able to set all up corectly..
Read tutorials about w311r+ and doing similar couldnt get it work..
1
In tenda i have
Wifi settings
BSSID NameTenda123 Passw123 <---- This is not same as WRT54G settings, do i need to make it like that also? Even channel the same?
WDS settings
Repeater ESSID Mac of WRT54G and WifipasswofWRT54G <--- this is the same as set inWRT54G
2
And do i connect from computer to NameTenda123 to get repeated signal from WRT54G ?
Or the same name as reapted signal router i need to connect? BSSID of WRT54G? And do i need to set in tenda wifi settings witch now are different then WRT54G wifi settings but in Tenda WDS repeater settings are set..
Maybe i need to set Tenda wifi off and only set WDS to be on?
3
Also to WRT54G i log in to 192.168.0.1 and maybe i need to set Tenda to 192.168.0.2 ? and something else?

How to set a specific width to all the TextInputs used in a mxml file on its creation complete?
Hi subhajit nag,
I think the best approach would what I say is if you can make use of a Global variable or using a Singleton class having a variable which can be accessed globally through out the application.
Below is the sample what I am talking to:
So in below example you can access the variables textInputWidth and textInputHeight globally throghout the application since you have decalred them in main mxml file.
You can access these variabled in another mxml file as Application.application.textInputWidth and Application.application.textInputHeight. So if at all you are required to modify these values you are only required to modify at a single place in main mxml file..thats it.
If you are use any Singleton classes like ModelLocator you can place these variables in this class and refer from that class.
Hope this resoved your problem..

<mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="vertical">
<mx:Script>

[Bindable]private var textInputWidth:int = 250;
[Bindable]private var textInputHeight:int = 25;

</mx:Script>
<mx:Canvas id="canvas1">
<mx:TextInput id="txt1" width="{textInputWidth}" height="{textInputHeight}"/>
</mx:Canvas>
<mx:Canvas id="canvas2">
<mx:TextInput id="txt2" width="{textInputWidth}" height="{textInputHeight}"/>
</mx:Canvas>
<mx:Canvas id="canvas3">
<mx:TextInput id="txt3" width="{textInputWidth}" height="{textInputHeight}"/>
</mx:Canvas>
<mx:TextInput id="txt4" width="{textInputWidth}" height="{textInputHeight}"/>
<mx:TextInput id="txt5" width="{textInputWidth}" height="{textInputHeight}"/>
</mx:Application>

How to set the default route on a RVS4000 to point to a gateway in the LAN
Hi
The dialog in the RVS4000 for static routes does not allow to set the default route to point to a gateway in the LAN. Clearly this is either a bug or a feature of the web-interface and not a restriction of the box, which runs some kind of linux. So my question is there a way around this problem rather then defining routes to n-class A networks to cover the internet? Like a terminal access to set the default route?
Thanks and cheers
FrankHi David
Thanks for your reply. I did already the first part and it seems that I presumed wrongly that the RVS4000 can be used as a layer 3 switch, instead it is only a 1-port gateway. Not that there is a technical limitation from the hardware or the OS of the box. It does layer 3 routing e.g. for its VLAN's. The only point to stop it from having the capability which I expect from something called router is to set its default route to the right gateway independant which port might be connected. The reason why I want a LAN port pointing to the gateway and do not use the WAN port without firewall is of course the VLAN capability of the LAN ports. The idea of the RVS is to bundle two nets, including the one where the gateway is on, and send it to a WAP4410N box, which nicely makes them wireless with different SSID's. Actually I have two ports connetced to the core network, if I am forced to have only the WAN port connected to the core, due to this artificial limitation, I would have to reconfigure a bit. Therefore I try to find an easier solution setting the route by "hand".

How to set the File Path to run a javascript using Plugin Code?
Hi All,
Im new to Indesign Plugin Development.Can any one help me out with my problem.
What i want to do is to run a javascript using Plugin Code.When i went through this forum i was able to find out that i should use the IscriptRunner Class to automate this.I could also figure out that the Member Function to use is "CanHandleFile" &"RunFile".
The first parameter in CanHandleFile & RunFile Member Function is to specify the path of the JavaScript File i suppose!I could also find out that IDFile has to used to set the file path Information.
But im clueless how to set the Javascript FilePath using IDFile.Can any one help me how to do this?Any Code Snippets Please?
Waiting for reply.
Thanks
myRiazHi, Andreas

Can you explain this in detail? I found it in your post before.

The content of elements are returned through the Characters callback function:

From ISaxContentHandler.h:

/**
Receives character data

The parser will call this method to report each chunk of
character data. SAX parsers may return all contiguous
character data in a single chunk, or they may split it into
several chunks. But all characters in any single
event must come from the same external entity so the
Locator provides useful information.

Note some parsers will report whitespace using the
IgnorableWhitespace() method rather than this one (validating
parsers must do so).

@param Chars The characters from the XML document.
*/
virtual void Characters(const PMString& chars) = 0;

What i have done is implement my own SAXContentHandlerServiceBoss, and in my file XXXSAXContentHandler.cpp, I override the fonctions StartElement, EndElement, and Characters() like below: I add the PMString xmlData to collect the file content:

class XXXSAXContentHandler : public CSAXContentHandler
{
void XXXSAXContentHandler::Characters(const WideString& chars)
{
xmlData.Append(chars);
}

void XXXSAXContentHandler::StartElement(const WideString& uri, const WideString& localname, const WideString& qname, ISAXAttributes* attrs)
{
xmlData.Append("<"); xmlData.Append(localname); xmlData.Append(">");
}
void XXXSAXContentHandler::EndElement(const WideString& uri, const WideString& localname, const WideString& qname)
{
xmlData.Append("</"); xmlData.Append(localname); xmlData.Append(">");
}

}

and in my program, I use the code below to call the fonction I overrided, but I dont know how I can get the String xmlData I defined in the XXXSAXContentHandler.cpp

InterfacePtr<IK2ServiceRegistry> serviceRegistry(gSession, UseDefaultIID());

InterfacePtr<IK2ServiceProvider> xmlProvider(serviceRegistry->QueryServiceProviderByClassID(kXMLParserService, kXMLParserServiceBoss));

InterfacePtr<ISAXServices> saxServices(xmlProvider, UseDefaultIID());
InterfacePtr<ISAXContentHandler> saxHandler(::CreateObject2<ISAXContentHandler>(kXXXSAXContentHandlerServiceBoss));
saxHandler->Register(saxServices);
bool16 parseFailed = saxServices->ParseStream(readStream, saxHandler);

Can you give me any help?

Thanks and regards!

How to set Mandatory Choice field while Creating Custom Task using Sharepoint Designer 2007
Hi,
I am new to Sharepoint development.I dont know whether i am posting the question in Correct place.Kindly redirect me to the correct place if i am posting it in wrong place.
I created a custom task in Sharepoint Designer 2007 using
Collect Data from User
Action.
I created a field in the task form which is of choice type and
unchecked allow blank values
because i wanted that field to be a mandatory field.When i handled that task ,i was able to complete that task
without selecting that mandatory field.But, I was expecting not to allow me to complete the task without selecting that field. Kindly tell me how to set the choice field as mandatory.Hi,
You are using SharePoint Designer 2007, so I moved the thread to the appropriate forum for MOSS 2007.
This is by design that
Workflow-generated form (for action Collect data from User) does not perform validation properly on drop-down choices, the workaround is to use JavaScript to perform the field validation.
This thread has the JavaScript code can help you:

How to set an attached USB drive to automatic sleep using Airdisk?
Greetings all!
I am looking for a way to set my two USB drives to sleep when they are not being used. I only use them a few minutes a day, and don't want to run them down or use the electricity to keep them spinning.
It seems there has been some discussion about this but I haven't been able parse all the conversations. Some people seem to have gotten it to work, while others are relying on a drives "internal" mechanisms. It would be great if someone (perhaps at Apple?) could chime in with an overview of the problem.
Perhaps it is linked to the method of authentication - ie., (using Airport Utility 5.1), whether the Disks > File Sharing > "Secure Shared Disks" > is with "disk password" or another method?
Some have suggested a radio button for a future firmware/other update such as:
"Set drives to sleep when not in use" (Let's hope for this!), but I am hoping for a simple solution in the near future.
Any thoughts out there?
best to all.
*NB: I first posted this on Posted: Apr 4, 2007 12:23 AM and got NO response at all - hopefully I'll have more luck this time !Hello Andy,
Thanks for your reply.
1. For using Microsoft Outlook rules, we need to keep the computer on, even after work or the colleague is on leave. That is not allowed in my company.
2. For sending an auto-reply email based on subject, that is impossible because the emails from customers are different and we don't have a basic standard.
3. Could you please elaborate how to set a transport rule in Exchange server to achieve the goal?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Steven
1. Only client rules require that the Outlook client remain open. An auto-reply rule should be server-side, so no need to leave Outlook open.
2. Yep!
3. Walk through the hub transport rules and you see one that replies with a rejection code. Thats the best you can get with a hub transport rule and not something I would recommend in your scenario. You could also search around for 3rd party solutions.

How to set "Configuration Variant" for a sales order item using function
Hello All,

Is their any idea or sample code?Hi Zhijun zhang,

A variant is simply an SAP report where the parameters for running the report have been set by the user and then saved with unique name. This allows future retrieval and execution of the report faster without reentering the parameters. As a convention the variant name should start with with the digits 50 so searchs for LHU variants is easier and quicker.
The first link will guide you by screen shot wise.
Award points if it adds information.

How to set up PC to receive signal?
My partner has a PC tower and laptop. When I set up AE I've been told to have a password. How does he access the signal? does anyone know? I'm not too knowledgeable about PC's.
Ok, I see. When you set up the AEBSn, there are two potential passwords: 1) Base Station Administrator password. The default is "public," and 2) Wireless Encryption password.
Unless either PC is going to administer the AEBSn, then the only important password would be the second one. I suggest that you first set up the AEBSn without wireless encryption. Verify that both the Macs & PCs can connect. Once verified, enable encryption. I would suggest that you use either "WPA/WPA2 Personal" or "WPA2 Personal." With encryption enabled, try accessing the AEBSn again with both the Macs & PCs. Please post back your results. -
How to set a select option's item as invisible (using a method code)
Hi there,
I need to hide parameters and select option fields, but Iu2019m using the select_option component to add all items to the layout using just one View Container Element.
I could use to hide the View Container Element setting the property visible, but I need to hide fields with certain conditions. I also could add one View Container Element for each select option, but I have many... I wish I could make in other way.
Iu2019ve checked the Definitions of the Interface IF_WD_SELECT_OPTIONS and the Ulli Hoffmannu2019s book and I have found no help at all.
Thanks in advance,
Filipe Torres
Edited by: Filipe Torres on Sep 15, 2008 12:34 AMThank you, this helps but will solve just part of my problem. I'm using many views and to pass the values from those select options and parameters I just declare them in the first view... The other answer helps me more that shows how to remove one element. I was looking for a hide feature and not remove, but seems that I have to remove.

How to set the active Step in a process Train using JSF
I have a process train that I am pointing to a list of steps, I want to be able to set the current step, but cannot find the property to set.
Does anyone know how to accomplish this? This process train is for readonly purposes only, no navigation needed.
Thanks
KellyRight, I think I've been able to do what you're trying to do.
I've defined a subclass of ProcessMenuModel, which simply has a currentViewId property and a constructor with an extra argument for it:
public class SettableProcessMenuModel
extends ProcessMenuModel
private String _currentViewId = null;
public SettableProcessMenuModel(Object instance, String viewIdProperty, Object maxPathKey, String currentViewId) throws IntrospectionException
super(instance, viewIdProperty, maxPathKey);
_currentViewId = currentViewId;
public void setCurrentViewId(String currentViewId)
this._currentViewId = currentViewId;
public String getCurrentViewId()
return _currentViewId;
}Then in the model adapter I use this class instead of MenuModel, plus a currentViewId property:
public class TrainModelAdapter implements Serializable {
private String _propertyName = null;
private Object _instance = null;
protected transient MenuModel _model = null;
private Object _maxPathKey = null;
private String _currentViewId = null;
public MenuModel getModel() throws IntrospectionException {
if (_model == null)
_model = new SettableProcessMenuModel(getInstance(), // SettableProcessMenuModel instead of ProcessMenuModel
getViewIdProperty(),
getMaxPathKey(),
getCurrentViewId()); // Extra argument
return _model;
public void setCurrentViewId(String currentViewId)
_currentViewId = currentViewId;
_model = null;
public String getCurrentViewId()
return _currentViewId;
...Then when you want to set the current step, you set the currentViewId on the TrainModelAdapter to the viewId you need.
This basically makes the value you pass in override the currentViewId value in the menu model.
I hope you are able to use this in your implementation. -

How to set dDocAccount on CDF in a new subsection using SSManager?
Using UCM 11g on Linux (11.1.1.4). - We are allowing contributors to add subpages to their main content pages. We have a default template, and right now, the contributers have to manually add CDF files for their content. What I want, is to be able to pre-populate the dDocAccount. This is the question. If I am on the check-in page for the CDF page, I can add a java Code Filter - Where to I find a dDocAccount that would work here.
Issues that I have run up against. If I look at the page that has the CDF regions with IsJava, the dDocAccount on the page is not the correct one by design. This dDocAccount is on the template that regular users shouldn't be able to edit. Where can I find the correct user dDocAccount.
Users (in our organization) belong to multiple groups for editing pages, so I can't just pull from the Accounts option list. One of the values is the correct one, but which?
My thoughts at this point are the only place to get the correct value would be to navigate the tree to the parent section, find any CDF attached to that page, and get the dDocAccount from that piece of content which should be correct.
Which leads to the question: If I am on the CDF checkin page, how to I get the last page I was on to find the parent node? Is there a last page visited variable, or some other way to get this.
Besides user training, is there a programmable way to solve this?
Thanks,
KenUsers should have a default dDocAccount, just use that.
Sections can have their own security, you can read the account from that. Sections also inherit security so you may or may not need to read the parent sections. But this won't help you if you're trying to populate a Content Server checkin page - it will only work from a sitestudio page.
Another thing to try is the "checkin similar" function so that the user is copying the metadata from an existing item. -
