Hi,
I am very glad to see your response.
U are right about my 256mb ram. I am also thinking to increase it.
I have done a very bad mistake and I accept it. My mistake was that I put my computer name as "Oracle" and made the user name also "Oracle".
I just changed user name to INSTALL and the installation went fine.
I have installed 11i successfuly saturday evening and I have also logged in.
It has taken nonstop 7+ hours to install.
It realy takes 15 minutes to boot and start services.
I have increased the paged files size to 3 gb. It realy helped me a lot in starting the services faster.
Now I m facing 2 problems "connection manager" and "listner" are becoming dead by theirself and win2003 server giving "RPC" error and rebooted several times.
A friend told me to Install 11i in Red Hat Linux 9 and from yesterday I m working on it.
If u have any suggestions; kindly help.
Again, I realy appriciate your deepest concern.
Thanx and Best Regards.
Rashid

How to setup the windows installed pxi to RT target
how to setup the windows installed pxi to RT target?
Ranjith,
I think the answer for your 1st que is NO. In the sense, you can run the code, but it may not work precisely as it is supposed to...
A target can be said to be an RT, if & only if it has an RTOS installed in it, not just Windows, which is not a real-time OS.
Youcan run the existing code in Windows, but as I said earlier, it may not give you the actual results.
Finally, hereafter, pl dont use the term 'box' for a PXI. It is a chassis with a main module that runs on Windows or an embedded RT processor/conrtoller that runs on an RTOS like VxWorks or Phsr Lap.
Hope this helps you to some extent...

Not able to select setup language while installing Crystal report2011.
Hi,
I am using windows 7 and trying to install Crystal report 2011 and SAP BusinessObjects 4.0 on my system. I have Java 7 update 51 version on my system.
I am unable to select setup language while installing Crystal Reports2011/SAP BO4.0. It does not show default language 'as English' over there.
It shows all fields with # sign like #Choosesetuplanguage# and other buttons also appears like this #Ok# and #cancel#. It does not show any language in drop-down, hence I am not able to select language from drop-down box. Drop-down box is blank.
When I click on #Ok# button it shows new message like #Validation failed#.
Please help.
Thanks.mmmm. That is odd, must be something missing or permission problem.
Log out and log back in as the local PC Adminsitrator and do a repair install, may have to completely uninstall and re-install it again.
That messed up dialog text suggests you don't have something installed correctly or access denied error.
Look in the install log, should be in your \%user%\AppData\Local\Temp folder. See if it has any access denied errors.
But try instlaling under local PC Admin account first.

How to avoid error while install oracle developer suite10g(forms & reports)
hi dear all in recent times i am trying to install oracle developer suite 10g to learn forms and reports in my lap having windows 7 ultimate version ,32 bit,2.56 GB of ram .I downloaded two files ds_windows_x86_101202_disk1 and ds_window_x86_101202_disk2 and i downloaded Oracle universal Installer but i am unable to complete installation process ,When i click on complete(1.11gb) version which include forms, reports, xml,j developer I am facing this type of error message
"Install has encountered an error while attempting to verify your virtual settings.please verify that the sum of the initial sizes of the paging files is at least 256 mb"
Could any one help how to avoid this type of error message ? or else is there any other way to download Oracle forms and reports versionOk, Oracle Developer Suite (ODS) 10g (Forms/Reports) was not designed for Windows 7. In order to the ODS you must follow these steps for the installation to be successful.
1. You must set the Virtual Memory (VM) size. The Oracle installer can not read Windows Managed VM. See the Microsoft article Change the size of virtual memory for more information on setting the VM size.
2. The Oracle Installer does not recognize the internal version number of Windows 7, so you have to set the compatibility mode on the Setup.exe to Windows XP. Right-Click the SETUP.EXE and select properties. Then click the Compatibility Tab and in the Compatibility Mode area set this to "Run this program in compatibility mode" and select "Windows XP SP3".
3. You must run the ODS setup.exe as the Administrator. Right-click the setup.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
Having done these three steps, your installation should be successful.
Hope this helps,
Craig B-)

Setup-Problem while installing AM Policy Agent 2.1 on Solaris 10
I'm new with AccessManager and try to get it working on Solaris 10 on a Sparc.
I'm using LDAP-Server, WEB-Server 6.1 and AccessManager from the software-paket: "Sun Java System Access Manager 6 2005Q1" .
While trying to install policy-agents on the Sparc (by starting setup program), I've got the message: "The installer ist intended for Solaris Operating System only".
The agent-software I'm trying to install is "Access Manager Policy Agent 2.1 for Sun Java System Web Server 6.1" From there I choosed "Solaris SPARC 8".
(so I've got the paket "S1WebServer_6[1].1_agent_2.1_sparc-sun-solaris2.8.tar.gz").
In my opinion, it must be correct. Ist there anything i'done wronge?
thanks, PaulEven when there is no agent available for Solaris 10 now:
If you don't have any doubt to use an unsupported configuration, at
least the apache agent is installable.
You have to extract the packages "SUNWamapc" and "SUNWcom"
from the tar-archive and install it using pkgadd.
Then, you have to configure it manually ("include" in "httpd.conf",
"AMAgent.properties").
Maybe, it is possible to do something similiar with the agent for
SUN webserver.
Be aware that noone will guarantee that such unsupported
installations won't raise any problems.

No 'Setup Network' while installing OL6.1
I am trying to install OL6.1 from the iso on an OVM2.2.2 machine. I am using the OVM manager. During the installation, the 'Setup Network' button is always greyed out. So I end up without a network connection everytime. I tried doing the network configuration after the install is complete(System -> Preference -> Network Connections) but also does not help. Help. Also is there a OL6.1 OVM Template available anywhere already?
This question probably belongs to the Oracle VM forum. You might want to check the following threads with a very similar problem:

Hi, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Thanks for posting back and letting us know what worked for you. It may help someone else in the future. -
Earlier I asked how to setup LAN
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=12874
How to upload files on LAN? How to configure? For a long time I have used FTP for LAN file transfers. Actually I am running NFS for my Linux Desktop and Samba for my roommate.
A FTP service is very fast and easy to set-up and can be used by windows or Linux. I you just want to transfer file or do some backups, this is great ! vsftpd is the fastest and most secure ftp sever I have saw until now. Well documented too. Actually you have to read documentation if you want it to work with your local system users on your server. Unless you already know how to configure vsftpd... It is quite easy actually.
proftpd works out of the box with local system users non chrooted. Just pacman -Sy proftpd then /etc/rc.d/proftpd start and you have a nice ftp server. If you want to open your server to the world, I strongly recommend vsftpd !
FTP is ok for sharing small amount of files not accessed too often. For sharing large amount of files, you are better with NFS for Linux and Samba for Windows. I you need help with these, just ask ! -
How to create new folders while installing the VI in some other PC
Hi,
I want to create a folder while installing the VI to some other maching using installer/setup.exe and also i want to copy some excel file to the c: drive of installing PC while installing is their anyway to do this. Please help me in this regards
Regards
Shivakumar SinghHi
If you are installing vi from CD, then you might use the first approach with application builder.
If you just want to use any CD, than I think you should consider some interactive script with the user.
You can easily creat one with the windows commands, by means of *.cmd files. You can read about it by typing "help cmd" and/or "help" in the RUN in Windows. Then I propose to search the web for some examples on how to write the cmd scripts. If you know TCL there will be no problem for you.
You can also try to ask some dudes on the WinNT newsgroup. They will write it in no time.
Unfortunatelly I have now no time to write the script for you.
good luck

How to hide product key page while installing SQL server 2012 ?
I need to hide the product key page while installing SQL server 2012 enterprise edition
I was trying to use the following command
Setup.exe /ACTION=Install /FEATURES=SQL /INSTANCENAME=Intuition /PID=<My product Key.
/IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS
The product key was applied , but the install screen is being shown with the Product key i have provided and it is in editable mode.
Is there any way i can hide this SQL server product key page ?
The reason is we are including SQL setup in our application and as per Microsoft policy we should not reveal the product key to user. If we are able to hide this from installing page , we can hide the installation command in some exe.
Note : Customers need fulfledged versions so we can't install SQLExpress.Hello,
Could you try using /Q or /QS parameter?

Hope this helps.

While installing a program (MediaCenter.exe) to handle audiobooks from the library, I erroneously associated the download site with Windows Media Player instead of the actual application (NetLibrary Media Center). How can I reverse/change this? Reinstalling the application does not clear the error, so I'm assuming the association is somewhere in Firefox.
Never mind -- I just found it under Tools/Options.../Applications, where I changed the incorrect association of "nlmcp" from Windows Media Player to the correct one, NetLibrary Media Center. Done!

I lost all personal data while installing maverick in external drive. How can I recover lost data?
If all your files are missing
You may have logged in as a different user, such as Guest. Open the Users & Groups pane in System Preferences. Your name should be at the top of the user list, under Current User. See also this support article.
If files are missing from one folder
Change the Finder view mode; for example, from icon view to list view, or vice versa.
