How to setup project using the correct vid settings

apple macbook pro, lion
elements 10, licensed version ie not trail.
How can I identify exactly what my new project settings should be when I want to setup a new project.
I have a dvd with a number of vob files.
The vob files play great in vlc on my dvd player.
If I use standard setting, see print screen.
When I click get media the files are imported.
When I try to play them (after rendering), the first second they play, they are clear, but then they go blurred, in a similar way to the difference between hd in youtube and 240 rate.
So I tried setting up the project clearly using the wrong settings. When I insert the video into the timeline, the application tells me its the wrong setting and do I want it to automatically change the settings to suit the video, if I say NO, then the video plays without being distorted and blurred, however it jumps because it is the wrong setting.
If I say YES, then the video plays but plays blurred.
This tells me that the application cannot identify the correct video project setting for this or any other file that I insert be it from vob or avi.
Here is a printscreen of the file properties, maybe this will help. It wont upload here so I will add to next string.

Finally found it!
So simple.
nothing to do with rendering.
Steve you deserve a big hug for all your hard work in trying to help me, and I feel like I owe you big time, however the solution was so simple and provided by ted smith, on the playback screen one right clicks and changes the playback quality to highest, and the quality is 100% crystal clear.

In the iPhone view of iTunes on my computer, it shows that my phone recognizes that I had those ringtones, but there is an exclamation mark showing that my phone can't find the files. I can't delete these "placeholders" from my phone with the hopes of re-transfering the files back to the phone, either. I cannot just simply re-transfer the files from my computer back to the phone. It won't let me using the regular synch options and I can't find anything in the menus of iTunes to help me out either.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Settings > Store > Apple ID. Sign out and sign in with the correct one. Note that all apps are forever tied to the account they are purchased under.

I am perfectly aware of how to do this using the old version of itunes.
however i just got a new macbook pro retina... and it came with the latest version of itunes.
and i was trying to import/export garage band files between my ipad and mac via itunes.
and the option for apps, that is usually on the left side where you can then select garage band from in itunes, isnt there in the new version of itunes.
has anyone got a work around for this?

Nic, for me the iTunes window looks like this, when I connect my iPad 3:
I select the iPad in the "devices" section of the Sidebar (use: "View > Show Sidebar" if the sidebar is hidden).
Click the "Apps" tab in the "Devices" pane.
Scroll all the way down in the Devices pane to "File Sharing" "Apps" section.
Then do I click "GarageBand" to select the documents in the right panel.
Which part is different for you? Perhaps you could post a screenshot?

While creating Projects Using the API, get two errors: 'Customer name must be passed' and 'class category is invalid'

While trying to Create Projects using the API, I'm getting two types of errors -
The first is : 'API failed in one stage 1 Customer Name is a mandatory Quick Entry field. Value must be passed'
The second is : '
'API failed in one stage 1 Project: '<Project_Number>'
The class category is invalid.'
Both the messages are produced by our custom program. .. however I am not able to understand why the underlying errors occur.
The first error ( Customer Name is a mandatory quick entry field), is caused by Projects that are to be created from Project templates where it is configured with Quick Entry Customer Name required. We are passing Customer Site number ( Party Bill to site number and Party Ship to side number). The site numbers being passed are also set as 'Primary'. Yet they are failing.
For the second Error ( The Class Category is invalid), I rechecked multiple times, the Class categories for the Projects I am trying to create, with the Config in R12 and they are fine. Can't understand the reason for these two issues. Has anyone encountered such an issue ? If so how was it resolved?

I resolved both the issues. In case there are others facing similar issues, following was the cause and resolution of my errors
1. Error 1: Customer Name is a Mandatory Quick Entry field. Value must be passed.
The cause was that the data loaded into our custom staging table was not in the right fields. This was because the data file values and the CTL were not in sync.
Resolution:
Corrected the data file to be in Sync with the structure defined in the CTL and this loaded it successfully
2. Error 2: The class category is invalid.
The cause of this error was that in the Projects Template (used to create the project from), the Quick Entry setup had a Class Category set as required and I was not passing a value ( a class code value) for that Class Category.

How to install and use the CP2102 USART to USB Converter?

First off, I did a quick search and found that some people had had success in that the cp210x driver was already installed on their machines. I did a modprobe and it returned nothing (not an error).
I searched around on the net a bit and found a very useful USART to USB converter bridge (http://www.nexuscyber.com/cp2102-usb-to … Mgod5UQAdQ). The CP2102 is a programmable device with many settings insofar as the data framing is concerned. As such, a driver for the device must be used to interface and modify these parameters.
On the Silabs website I found this driver (http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/page … ivers.aspx) for linux (kernel > 3.x.x). The problem is that this driver is just a single C program with zero documentation. An include make file is about as useful considering it has a single line in it that fails (for me) at run-time.

There is no documentation aside from:

Can anyone provide some guidance on the steps to install this driver (or at least where to look) and why there is such a lack of documentation? Are there assumptions here that I am not aware of? How is anyone suppose to use this? If you look in the source there are structures being used as arguments to functions that are never defined as far as I can tell. Perhaps they are part of the header files included at the top, but I could not find some of those on my machine either.
Has anyone had success using this device?

First, I think you have a mismatched Baud. Check your settings in GtkTerm. It could also be the uController. I know you said you have it set for 9600 Baud, but are you sure? The divisor settings are dependent on your clock frequency. Are you sure you are using the correct divisors for the frequency of your crystal? And are you using a crystal, ceramic oscillator, or external oscillator for your time base?
I did not think the internal RC oscillators were that bad off, so I was using the internal 8MHz (DIV8 = 0 fuse bit). Taking your advice I just refused the AVR and set it to use a 20MHz clock (external crystal oscillator) to no avail. Which gives a a UBRR register value of 129 corresponding to normal speed (U2Xn = 0). This is all computed for me at compile-time via this formula:
20,000,000/(16*9600) - 1 = 129.2 ~ 129 truncated.
That the two devices can communicate tells me they both might be using the same wrong Baud.
I was also suspicious of this .. I do not have a trivial way to test this though. Perhaps some workaround using timers is about the best I can do; no oscilloscope here. Doing a quick high-level test I did find something rather interesting though. Both devices are set to run at 9600 baud. One device is operating at 8MHz (internal oscillator) and the other is using an external 20MHz crystal. I am getting UART communication between the devices, but certainly not the characters I'm sending..
The other problem is that I think you have "Local Echo" turned on in GtkTerm. This places the system in "Half Duplex" mode in which data are not expected to be echoed from the Atmel. That you are getting two characters when the pins are shorted tells me you get the local echo and the loopback. Then the loopback is missing, you still get the local echo. Also, make sure you have parity turned off.
GTKterm does not actually show you what you are typing into the terminal. That is, when you type a character then nothing is displayed to the screen. Presumably this character is sent out as you type it. I was under the impression that local echo would just echo what I type to the screen as well as send it out. Thank you for the clarification.

How best we can use the Rollback and RollbackAlways mechanism in Visual Studio Release Management Template

We need a clarification on Rollback and RollbackAlways in Release template.
We checked a scenario for Rollback and RollbackAlways:
In Release Template, we have the first activity as “Configure Application Pool” and then followed by a rollback action of “Create Application Pool”
and “Create Web Site” then followed by "Code Deployment" via TFS build.
We tested with 2 scenario’s:
With App Pool and Web Site already existing: when triggered the build, configure
app pool succeeded, then Rollback action was skipped (as previous action was successful), finally deploy the code executed (code deployed) and build got succeeded.
Deleted App Pool and Web Site: when triggered the build, configure app pool failed (as no app pool existed), Rollback action executed (as previous action failed) – created app pool and web site then finally
deploy the code executed (code deployed)
But build failed (Error: Configure app pool action failed).
Ideally the build should succeed as the roll back action got executed and code deployed successfully.
Please correct us if our understanding is wrong.
Also, Kindly let us know how best we can use the Rollback and RollbackAlways mechanism in Release Management

Rollback Always runs if any of the actions in the template failed. Rollback will run if action just above rollback fails or if any of the actions below the Rollback fails.

Always work.
I think you come across this issue since you are using build to do the "code deployment" action. You should use the release template to do that.
As far as I know you cannot use Rollback to achieve condition check (App pool exist in your case) action.
For this you can create your own Power Shell component (which checks if the app pool exist and is not create it) and add it as a tool in RM server (RM Server Inventory).
Another option is you can follow the workaround in below thread "Answer" quoted below. That is execute Remove app pool regardless if it exist or not (which does not fail) and then create app pool.
I was able to get it working by removing the app pool which does not fail if it doesn't exist. Removing then creating seems the long way around but it works.

HT1515 How to setup laptop use both 3G internet and audio via Airport Express

Laptop connected to internet via 3G mobile phone network, but when connected simultaneously an Airport Express to stream audio, the laptop can not connect to internet as it try to connect internet through Airport Express. So how to setup to use both.

I need to know how to access and use the Blue Tooth device that comes with the Thinkpad W520

Forgive me for being a techo illiterate. But I know that this thing supports Blue Tooth. And one "problem" with it is although it has a DVD and sound card, music and movies have very lousy audibility. Is there something I can do about that? I can barely hear anything on a movie unless I plug in head phones to the computer. But that leaves me stuck in my seat. I'd like to get cordless headsets. And I'm ready to purchase the Plantronics BackBeat 903+ Wireless Stereo Headphones - Mic, Rich Audio, Bass-boost, Voice Alerts, OpenMic, 3-way Earpiece. And have heard that it's compatable with a pc that has Bluetooth capabilities. but could someone get back to me with exactly how I access and use the Blue Tooth device?

1. The OP was asking about audio and there are updated audio drivers / tweaks to get it louder / install different drivers.
but if you are going to go BT headset....
2. What I did for the 903+
Uninstalled the currently installed ThinkPad Bluetooth program. ( I forget the exact name, came stock and was out of date).
Required reboot.
Activated the Bluetooth with FN + F5 menu.
Downloaded the updated Bluetooth driver from lenovo (search lenovo driver matrix).
Ran the updated Bluetooth driver install.
Rebooted for good measure.
Double-clicked the Bluetooth Tray icon.
Clicked Add A Device.
Turned off my 903+ and continued to hold down the power to enable pairing mode.
Showed up in devices and added it.
Worked for audio. There are probably additional options for enabling the mic.
Hope that helps whoever might find this thread.

Mail not using the correct account to reply to email

I use Gmail to fetch email from my other email accounts. Prior to Mountain Lion, whenever I replied to an email, Mail would use the correct email account to reply to. That is to say, Gmail was fetching email from [email protected], for example. When I click reply, the default account would be mail.com. But since upgrading to Mountain Lion, the default account will be Gmail.com.
Has anyone experienced this? How were you able to solve this, if at all?

The new rule seems to be if you move an email message received on account A to a folder belonging to account B, that means the message now "belongs to" account B, and replies will come from account B. The new rule is murkier if you move a message from account A to an "On My Mac" folder and then reply to it.
I'm not saying that I like it that way, or that Apple has documented the change, just that this "new rule" seems to explain many of the "wrong reply" and "copying myself" complaints we see here on the forums. If we (users) can figure out the second half of the "new rule" ("On My Mac" folders), we might be able to explain the rest, we might be able to predict how replies will work, and we might be able to write a cogent complaint about the "new rule."

Can't unlock my phone using the correct password

I can't unlock my phone and I'm using the correct password. I'm at my final attempt to enter the password or ALL of my personal information will be lost!! I just got off of the phone with customer service and was told basically I'm going to lose all my business contacts & personal notes that I entered this morning during my morning meeting and that it's my fault because I didn't back it up!!! How the heck can I back up my device while during my company meeting?? I'm the owner and I have many notes and etc on my device that I put there this morning!!! Now I lose money because I can't get my information. I'm so ticked off right now!!! Customer service wasn't helpful at all...he just blamed me for my problem!! Never mind the fact that the darn phone keeps turning itself on and off randomly!
