How to setup Proxy in new environment?

Hi All,
We have implemented a new ECC and PI environment. When we try to regenerate the Inbound proxy in ECC for a proxy message already defined in new PI Integration repository, we get the following error message:
Diagnosis
The object currently selected references objects from other namespaces. However, there are no proxy objects for these objects in the current system.
You cannot create proxy objects while editing the object currently selected for the following reasons:
Objects are possibly located in different packages to the object currently being edited
Objects are possibly subject to different naming conventions to the object currently being edited
Objects are possibly located in different software components and cannot be created or changed in this system
Procedure
Contact the development area responsible for these external namespaces and do the following:
Regenerate the objects concerned in the relevant original system
Transport the objects to this system
You can display the number of objects when you check this proxy: all entries in the check list after the entry "Objects to be changed from external namespaces".
Please advice what we need to do. This is the first time proxy is being setup in new environment...

Check whether the interface you're trying to generate proxy for have any underlying basis components. If yes, make sure they're active in in the IR (and that the proxies refering to these basis software components are in the ECC box).

< In the IE browser got "Page cannot be displayed" error.

Do I need to setup something else???

My guess then would be that the problem is that you get:
ConfigFileName: null in the OC4J log window. This should actually point to a config file for the Forms server : formsweb.cfg.
Are you running the OC4J that came with Oracle9iDS?
What happens if you try the following URL:
http://127.0.0.1:8888/forms90/f90servlet
I don't know why it is not configured for you. might be worth a reinstall.

I'm looking for some kind of a howto to setup multiplex without migrating an existing one. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find some. Or is it the default way creating a database and maybe migrating it later from simplex to multiplex?

Hi Frank,
The method for creating a multiplex is essentially this:
1) Create a simplex server.
2) Add a secondary server using the CREATE MULTIPLEX SERVER command. This does all of the behind-the-scenes work to convert your simplex database to a multiplex.
Conversely, when you drop the last secondary server in a multiplex, IQ automatically converts back to a simplex.
The documentation on creating a multiplex is quite detailed:

I'm running XP Pro via Wi Fi to a Linksys Wi Fi router to a cable modem... I'm also running Zone Alarm (tried turning it off but no luck)

OK, on my XP Pro system I went to...
Start IE -> Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Connections -> Lan Settings -> Proxy Settings
This is my 'Local Area network (LAN) Settings panel...
- user Proxy server for LAN is checked
- Address is blank
- Port is blank
So do I plug something in here... the ip address of my linksys wi-fi router and a port number or what?
My Java Web Start Preferences won't let me click 'Use Browser' only None or Manual
If I click Manual, I don't know what to plug into the HTTP Proxy and HTTP Port fields...
I tried the ip address of my router... thinking it may have a built in Proxy Server... and port 8080 as indicated by the Help page for the Java Web Start... but no luck.

A new iphone will not do anything until you have activated with a carrier.

How to setup proxy

I tried the most hidden proxy but I can't connect in proxy test it shows my IP.
Who can tell me step by step guide to connect this proxy.
EDIT:Also I restarted my broswer.

At first I get my IP on hidemyash.com with the filter of low anonimity.
Then in some IP test sites it shows up same ip.Why I want proxy because i just downloaded avast and it copys my coputers name after setup then it takes to
another screen to "congratz" me.I presedence privacy after that avast stuff I found a bunch of malvare ad,spyware .This was not the first time i am using avast
it found a rootkit that shows there was virus in the computer before i used.(Avast was overheat my RAM while scaning thats why i removed it.

Once you have identified the JDK install path:
1. Right click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and select properties
2. Click the Advanced Tab
3. Click the Environment Variables button
4. Click New
5. Enter the variable name as JAVA_HOME
6. Enter the variable value as the install path for the Java Development Kit.
7. OK
Next you have set an environment variable CATALINA_HOME that contains the pathname to the directory in which Tomcat 5 has been installed, the same way you set the JAVA_HOME ev.

How to use proxy for all application in XFCE?

Is there any way I can setup a proxy and then all applications over XFCE can use it, just like the Internet Option in Windows?
I tried "export PROXY=..." in command line and setup proxy for Firefox, but those setting is not for overall system.

Can you please explain more regarding to move setup from DEV to PROD instance.The steps are documented in the iSetup manual, so have you gone through the documentation?
Also we would install PROD with multi tier nodes, and HA cluster. So in that case what would be the change to move the setups from DEV to PROD, as DEV is single node TEST APPS 12 installation.iSetup is helpful in moving the functional setup between the two instances. If you want to create an identical copy of your DEV instance to PROD instance (provided that both instances contain no data), then you can use "Rapid Clone" -- See (Note: 799735.1 - Rapid Clone Documentation Resources, Release 11i and 12).

I want to use iSetup to create a complete new environment. No manual setup has been done yet in the copy of the master (no Business Group, No OU, no Chart of Acc: nothing). Source environment is being setup rightnow by functional consultants
Can one please provide me with a manual or guideline how to start this challenging job. Maybe a best practise can be used ?
In the end we want to setup an environment based on a clean master.
( practical data: eBS 12.1.2 on linux )
