    Laptop connected to internet via 3G mobile phone network, but when connected simultaneously an Airport Express to stream audio, the laptop can not connect to internet as it try to connect internet through Airport Express. So how to setup to use both.

    Thanks jakeloveslucy.
    I tried to setup the network by using Airport Utility, the problem is Airport Utility can not find Airport Express while I can use Airport Express to stream music very well. Can you suggest to fix this.
    I use windows 7 64 bit sp1 ; Airport Utility 5.6.1.

  • How to use lexical paramter in oracle reports

    I have a query like,
    select * from t1 where &c1=:v_srep;
    where t1 is tablename
    c1 is column name
    How do I create &c1 and how should I populate it ?
    Thanks,

    From Oracle 8.1.5 database, we can use dynamic ref cursors.
    With dynamic ref cursor we can really avoid the use of lexical parameters in Reports.
    With static ref cursor this is not possible in all cases.
    For example, if we need dynamic WHERE, we practically can't use static ref cursor.
    But, problem is that Reports needs static ref cursor type for building Report Layout.
    Solution (as i know, first published in my post in MetaLink Reports Forum,
    thread "Report based on Ref Cursor or PL/SQL Table", 24-Aug-01) is:
    in package specification we must have both ref cursor types,
    static for Report Layout and dynamic for ref cursor query.
    Dynamic ref cursor examples:

  • How to generate Excel files in Oracle Reports

    Hi,
    I've already built a JSP using oracle reports and Deploy on the report service. I also add a button to the left of the JSP.The next thing I want to do is:when user click on the button, the system will prompt a excel file contains the same content as the JSP file.
    Can anybody teach me how to do? Thanks very much

    Hi Ni,
    It may not be possible to see the output of the SAME report in Excel as well. You will have to design another report which can open in Excel. You can follow this demo:
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/htdocs/getstart/demonstrations/excel/index.html
    Then you can add an action to your button so that it opens the new report in a new browser window. This new browser window will open MS Excel and show the report inside Excel.
    The reason that you can't output the SAME report in HTML as well as MS Excel is because we use page contentType to specify the application that the browser should open the document in (the application can be MS Word, MS Excel, etc). For example,
    <%@ page contentType="application/vnd.ms-excel" %>
    But we can only specify one contentType for a JSP, so the report can either be viewed as HTML or inside MS Excel.

  • How to setup management server in oracle 10g database

    guys,
    i've installed oracle 10g database into my machine. but i don know how to setup the management server (for scheduling owb10g process flows). unlike 9idb, we have an option emca to setup the management server. if anyone of u knows abt it, please help me. do i need to install the grid control just to have the scheduling mechanism? please advice.

    Well, it depends heavily on what operating system you're using, what mail server you're trying to install, your network topology, etc. Realistically, this is a question that is probably better asked in a forum for whatever mail server you're trying to install...

  • How to setup private network in oracle rac

    Hi all,
    Iam trying to setup oracle 2-NODE RAC ,
    now i stuck in setup private network..
    how to setup private network, what i have to do for that.
    please help us provide step by step process

    The loop is nothing but a network cable connecting two nodes on same port with a private IP address (something like 10.0.01 and 10.0.0.2) which is not accessible by any other machine in the network (except 2 nodes obviously ).
    Note that cross over cables are not supported for the Cluster Interconnect. And cross over cables limit the cluster to only 2 nodes, which may not be enough for many RAC deployments.

  • How to grant access to a Oracle Report  Program

    Hi hussein,
    I am checking/debugging our clients registered customized report program setup.
    I want to grant the program to my ID so I can test print and see its output.
    The steps I followed are the ff:
    A.
    System Administrator resp: Concurrent Program > Executable :
    Executable : CEC2CREC
    Application : ABC Customizations
    Execution Method : Oracle Reports
    Execution File Name: CEC2CREC
    B.
    System Administrator resp: Concurrent Program > Define :
    Program : Bank Reconciliation Report ( 2 Column )
    Short Name : CEC2CREC
    Application : ABC Customizations
    Executsble Method : Oracle Reports
    Executable Name : CEC2CREC
    I want to grant this program "Bank Reconciliation Report ( 2 Column )" to my USERID.
    I followed these steps:
    - Login to System Administrator responsibility
    - Navigate to Security > Responsibility > Define
    - Query the "ABC Customization" responsibility
    But I can not find any "ABC Customization" responsibility
    Is there other way to test run the program?
    Thanks a lot
    Edited by: yxes2009 on Sep 14, 2009 3:23 AM

    Hi,
    System Administrator resp: Concurrent Program > Executable :
    Executable : CEC2CRECApplication : ABC Customizations
    But I can not find any "ABC Customization" responsibility According to the above, "ABC Customizations" is an executable file (concurrent program) and not a responsibility. From (Security > Responsibility > Define), query the responsibility which is assigned to the user, and check the "Request Group" which is attached to this responsibility, then navigate to (Security > Responsibility > Request) and add "ABC Customization" request to the request group.

    may be its not possible to use :P_PARAM1 in user parameter of oracle 6i reports
    but u can full fill user requirement using oracle forms
    create a form as like as report parameter window
    then create parameter list and run report
    PROCEDURE Run_Emp_Report IS
      pl_id ParamList;
    BEGIN
      pl_id := Get_Parameter_List('tmpdata');
      IF NOT Id_Null(pl_id) THEN

      END IF;
      pl_id := Create_Parameter_List('tmpdata');
      Add_Parameter(pl_id, 'PARAMFORM', TEXT_PARAMETER, 'NO');
      Run_Product(REPORTS, 'empreport', SYNCHRONOUS, RUNTIME, FILESYSTEM, pl_id, NULL);

  • How to execute this statement from oracle reports

    have to use the following command from oracle reports.
    In oracle forms we can use the HOST command but what about oracle reports2.5.
    I have to email the attached file 100245.pdf from oracle reports to the given email id
    uuencode 100245.pdf 100245.pdf | mailx -s "test" [email protected]

    > u can execute any exe using host that host must contain a bat file
    Incorrect. There is no HOST command in PL/SQL.
    And please note that this is the Database » SQL and PL/SQL forum - and not the Oracle Forms or SQL*Plus forum.
    Also, when using the SQL*Plus HOST command for example, you can execute any executable and not just a BAT file. SQL*Plus on Windows uses the Win32 API call CreateProcess() - and it has no limits as to what/which executable can be executed.
