Will someone point me to a tutorial or show me how to setup separate ring-tone for each contacts?

Assign a ringtone to a contact
From Phone, tap Contacts and choose a contact. Tap Ringtone and choose a ringtone. When that person calls, you hear that ringtone.

Try this:
1) Long press on a contact
2) select "View contact"
3) press the Menu button on the bottom left of the phone (the one with the 4 squares)
4) select "Edit"
5) select "Additional info" at the bottom and tap the triangle
6) select "Ringtone"

Unable to set ringtone for each contact

After upgrade to the 5.1.1 iOS I was not able to set individual ringtone to each of contact anymore.
All my contacts are using the same default ringtone when ever anyone calls.
When I go into contact and hit edit I can see the different ringtone already setup for each contact and when I click it I can hear it play just fine. Then I exit and went back to main screen and try to call the phone and it still using the default ringtone.
Any idea how did this happen or how to fix it? I am trying not to reset the phone.

When you call your phone from another, is your iPhone picking up the caller ID that is in your Contacts, or does the incoming call just have a number (or maybe "unavailable")?
Also, there should be no harm in Resetting your iPhone, that is not the same as Restoring it (even if you did Restore it, you could back it up first and re-load the backup as long as your Contacts and Camera Roll are backed up somewhere).

I bet all your contacts are Google/Gmail imported right? I had the same problems when I got the phone. I used to have a Droid so when I switched over my contacts where synced through Gmail....and thats where the problem is at...and here's the bad news: you can assigned different ringtones to your contacts but they have to be IN PHONE CONTACTS...meaning that they must be saved directly into the phone(the old fashion way) not sync'd from another source. To prove my point try this: open up your contacts and click "add new" fill in the usual info but after you enter in the phone number dont hit save but keep scrolling down and guess what you'll see......yep, "ringtone" Weird but thats just how this phone is. After finding this out I had to stop gmail from sync'ing my contacts, wrote down all my contacts, erased the contacts that were on the phone, and began the long process of typing in all my contacts into the phone. have fun....

Here are the steps to select a ringtone and save with a contact. Hope this helps!
o assign a ringtone to a contact follow the steps below:
1. Press the left soft key for Contacts
2. Select the contact for which you would like to assign a ringtone, using the navigational key.
3. Press the right soft key for Options
4. Choose Edit
5. Use the right navigational keys and select assign ringer
6. Press the select soft key and save to complete the action.

How to have separate template for each role in OIM

We have multiple roles on a multiple AS400 boxes. In OIM we need a separate template for each role that has to be popped up during provisioning. How do we achieve this in OIM?
Pls help me with the solution.

for the second question; we need on the basis of role these forrms will have different informations.
the AS/400 guys wants the below steps to be done on OIM side
They want to make sure below plan works with OIM plan.
1.Per System, create templates per role.
2.Update the AS400 User Request form to include a section for each system. Add templates for each role to each system’s section.
3.Provide ITSA with a menu option to create profiles by selecting the template they wish to copy.
4.Create backend programs to automate additional 400 tasks required per role.
a.Create directory entry
b.Add to Privilege Manager
c.Add to Menu System
d.Add to third party software
e.Other as required.
If we automate the above on the 400, in OIM , we would need to create the same templates.

New 4s. Adjusted all ringtones by contact and now they are all showing as "multiple ringtones" for each contact. Help!

I had this problem due to Linked contact cards so that each contact was composed of more than one entry. Apparently the Contacts list can get corupted and have more entries than you think. I found the answer in the Linked /Unknown discussion on this community. My reply that I poste dthere fixed the problem.

I had a problem where I could not get the assigned ringtone to ring correctly. Tried removing and restoring the contacts from MobileMe several times and resetting sync to copy the computer contacts to replace the MobileMe contact. Still no luck. Then I looked at the All Contacts number and it was larger than the total number in my Contacts list on the computer. So there were extras I couldn't see. When I turned off the MobileMe Contacts, some where still left anyway.
I then tried to cleanup the list by looking for hidden contacts. I tried the contacts "cleaner app" I had, called Group, which removes duplicates, but it did not find anything. Then I tried your recommended Cleanup app (seach in App Store for Cleanup), and, lo and behold, it found a lot of contacts that should not have been there still. Cleanup removed them all, leaving the list squeaky clean.
Then I turned on MobileMe Contacts again, and after the Contacts list populated, the number agreed with the number on my computer. And the switching of assigned ringtones now works correctly.
So, I basically did what you recommended, but since I am not using iCloud to sync, since I haven't switched to Lion, I did the same thing using MobileMe.

Touch Apps > My music
While the music is playing, touch the phone Menu Key > More > Use as ringtone
The ringtone is set as your default incoming call ringtone and copied to your Phone ringtone list.

Yes, there is a field in each contact called ring tone and text tone. You can also set a different vibration pattern for each contact.

I have had my Iphone for a week or so and I can not get individual ringtones for each contact to work. The guy at the ATT store was kind enough to transfer my contacts from my old Razr. ALL my calls are reverting to the default tone. This is very irritating. I can not find any duplicate entries in my contact list. I am on the verge of wiping all my contacts and starting over. Fore example, if I get a work email, I want to hear a DING, DING....If I get a personal email, I want to hear a BEEP, BEEP. Right now, any email from any account has the same notification. I want work incoming email notification to be different than personal incoming notification. The only semi-workaround I've seen is just disable any notification for the Hotmail account, so only work emails would notify. But then I don't know when I get a personal email. Even the lowely Blackberry Torch 9800 has this feature..not iPhone 4s??
