How to share a common calendar

I have stbeehive working with no issues, but I can't seem to find a solution to one of the things that I need a calendar for. I need to be able to view/add/edit entries across a wide group of people (all internal to Oracle) - and others need the same ability to add/edit/view in the same calendar. I'm looking for the same capabilities that I have in google calendar, where I can create multiple calendars, and make them available to others individually.
The use case that I'm trying to address is tracking marketing events for my region. These events could be initiated by me, or any one of a few dozen people - and I may or may not need to participate in the event.
In beehive people can subscribe to my calendar, but I believe that they see the aggregation of my multiple beehive calendars. I'm hoping to either be able to set up a group calendar (in a similar way that we do workspaces) and add administrators, viewers etc. Alternately I'd like to set up a calender that others can subscribe to that doesn't show my other calendar events - just those from this calendar.
Any ideas?

You can create a new team workspace, which will have a calendar function as part of it and add in all the users into it.
You may find some of the links on this page provides the information you need:

  • HT2513 I have a family with 5 iPhones and separate iCloud accounts. How can we all share a common calendar?

My family had 5 iPhone 4S with separate iCloud accounts. How can we all share a common ICal amongst each other to manage the family schedule.

So you've shared the calendar, your family has accepted and added the calendar to their devices, but they do not recieve any changes or additons thay have been made since then? Is that correct?
Is the calendar you shared in your iCloud accounts in Calendar (as opposed to another account you've set up to sync calendars with your device)?
What happens if one of you family members attempts to edit the calendar?
Do you have a computer form which you can access the iCloud.com site? Does it refelct the latest updates to the shared calendar?

  • How to share an icloud calendar without sharing local calendars

I have created an icloud calendar for family use.  I want us to be able to view/edit it in the Calendar app on our macs and on our ios devices. But we don't want our local (business and school) calendars uploaded to icloud. Only one of us have upgraded to Yosemite, and none of us to ios8, as we don't like the new interface. We are therefore mostly using ios7 and Mavericks, though one is using 10.6 still and another is a google phone user.  Notwithstanding the last two oddities, it seems to be impossible to find a solution, even without the Calendar integration.
Does anybody have a solution for this no doubt common situation?

    Hi Bill,
    Referencing iCloud: Calendar sharing overview
If the other shares their iCloud calendar as public, you can add it to your Calendar without using iCloud, but you can only view it, no edits.
So here the answer is Yes.
Public calendars can be shared with anyone. To access public calendars, visitors need to use Calendar (or iCal with OS X v10.7.5) on a Mac, Microsoft Outlook on a Windows computer, or any other app that supports the iCalendar file format.
A public calendar can’t be edited by anyone but the calendar owner (the creator).
If you need to be able to edit the Calendar, then you need to have iCloud Calendar enabled.
Private calendars can be shared with other iCloud users.
As the owner (creator) of a shared calendar, you assign edit privileges to the invitees to control who can modify the calendar.
You stated earlier, "When you configure the connection to iCloud you only have the option to merge all your calendars into one on iCloud."
That is not what happened for me. Each local calendar got "merged" with the same calendar on iCloud but each stayed separate.  If some of the local calendars didn't exist on iCloud, then they were duplicated on iCloud.  So for example, Home and Work local calendars became Home and Work iCloud calendars.
iCloud: Using iCloud Calendars with Calendar and iCal - Apple Support
If you have local calendars, they are merged with iCloud when you set up iCloud Calendar.
That doesn't say they are merged into one big calendar.
The calendars created in iCloud are not shared by default. You need to manually share the ones you want to share.  So to view someone else's shared calendar, you do not need to share your own.
iCloud: Share a calendar with others
If when setting up iCloud calendars you get calendars on iCloud you do not want there, you can delete them from iCloud.
    iCloud: Delete a calendar
Hope that helps.  If not, please contact support for help clearing this up.
    Take care,
    Nubz

  • How to share event in calendar to other device

Hello everybody. I am having problem with my calendar sharing. Can everybody show me how to share my event in calendar in my iphone to my girlfriend iphone. I want she can see my event in her iphone. My device's ios version in 5.1.1 and my girlfriend device is ios 8.  Thank you very much.

Days with appointments will be marked with a dot in month view. Tapping the icon that looks like a box with three lines underit will show you events for the selected day in month view.
Also, I don't want to have to select mail messages individually for deletion. How can I do this more quickly (besides tapping faster)?
    You can't.

  • How to Share an iCloud Calendar as a web page viewable by public?

    Hi,
I need to give various (ie non apple) people access to some of my Calendars as a Web Page that they can view.
I can see that I can share a webcal: link but this is not what I want as I can't rely on other people having a Calendar app to use to Subscribe to this - I need to be able just send people a link to a Web Hosted Calendar.
It does not look like you can just share a web view of your iCloud Calendar to the public - which seems to me to be the nicest option so I guess it may involve syncing your iCloud Calendar with a Google account calendar and then sharing this Google Calendar publicly...
    Any ideas appreciated
    Gary

In order to do this you need to be able to upload your calendar to a CalDAV server: unfortunately these are thin on the ground. Apple rather assume that you are going to run your own server, but I can't imagine you want to get into that.
Box.net were claiming that they offered this service, but there were complaints that it didn't work. I don't know about any others - I can only suggest you try Googling for CalDAV servers.
Otherwise it's a matter of sharing the calendar publicly and people having to subscribe - they can do this in iCal on a Mac - I don't know about Outlook on a PC but I would have thought it was possible.

Take a look at BusySync, which supports the selective sharing and synchronization of calendars among members of a workgroup.

  • How do I keep Bonjour IDs separate on 2 Macs that share a common iCloud ID?

I have two iMacs that share a common iCloud ID so they can exchange contacts, calendars, etc.
The problem is that when I use Messages, both Macs use the same name since they both have the admin user with the same Apple ID.
How do I share the same iCloud entry and have separate IDs for Messages?

    HI,
    Nope, it can't be done.
There can be only one My Card in the Address Book ( Contacts in Mountain Lion).
The iChat App  (or Messages in Mountain Lion) call this name to all the Buddy lists  at the Name of ID spot top left.  (the Name or Handle drop down)
For the Bonjour account it "Broadcasts" this name as the Buddy Name in other people's Buddy lists (On the LAN using Bonjour).
A second Mac User Account with it's own Address Book and then using Fast User Switching is the only way to achive this.
The other way is to change the Name on the My Card to something that either of you could use such as the Computer Name.
As 2 of my computers have a My Card that lists "Ralph Johns" I get this in my Bonjour Buddy List when they are all logged in.  The third computer is the G4 and this is part of the My Card Name.
On my G4 the iMac and the MacBook Pro both show and "Ralph Johns"  (it would help to use a different pic on each I expect.)

i have 5 html pages that share a common header, footer, and sidebar. how do i use my nav bar to change the content of the body without duplicating a lot of code? thank you!

i inherited the website. It’s for a non-profit and is not very
sophisticated, and neither am I in webdesign. It currently has multiple
pages that are identical except for that body section, so whenever i change
the navigation (in the sidebar) I have to update every html page.  I want
to have one basic page, and just call in the different body content based
on the link the user selects from the nav bar. How can i do that using a
    script? i am using Dreamweaver.

How do you date and time stamp iCal entries?  We share an event calendar and need to know when a new event was entered into iCal.

    BKBK,
Thank you for your response. That does adequately cover the
client-originated sessions, but still leaves the ability I am
    looking for unavailable.
It did serve to definitively answer my most pressing
    question, however, with this statement:
Note: ColdFusion cannot create a session if an initiator
application uses a SendGatewayMessage method to start an
interaction with a client, such as an SMS user. In this case, the
sending code must keep track (for example, in a database) of the
messages it sends and their destinations. When a response event
arrives, it can look up the origniatorID to determine whether it
was in response to an outgoing message.
I will play around with the Application scope to see if there
might be a workable solution there.

  • How to share calendar from icloud to someone

I was wondering how to share your calendar schedule to someone.

    at www.iCloud.com
You sign in, click the calendar icon,
in the list of calendar's on the left
-> you should see a faint icon to the right of the calendar name.
    click that,
type the email address of the user you want to share with,
and whether you let them just View or View and Edit.
    Hope this helps!
