How to share a virtual network among different subscription?

Team A(Subscription A)
  Virtual Network : VNET1(Subscription A created)
  Virtual PC : Some PC(ex. 192.168.0.1,
192.168.0.2,192.168.0.3,192.168.0.4)
Team B(Subscription B)
  Virtual Network : VNET1(Subscription A created)
  Virtual PC : Some PC(ex. 192.168.0.5, 192.168.0.6))
In my understanding, Subscription A can create Virtual PCs on VNET1. But Subscription B can not create Virtual PCs on VNET1 by default.
How can "Subscription B" choose another subscription's Virtual network?

Hi Munyamunya,
Currently, it is not possible to share the VNet between different Subscriptions and create a VM over it.
You can just move the vm between VNets in the same subscription :

  • How to create azure virtual network by programming

    Hi everyone
i want to create azure virtual network by programming
    Doese anyone know how?
My way is create xml network config
    and then call powershell
    Set-AzureVNetConfig-ConfigurationPath
But if on manage portal is exist any network
It is impossible to create new azure virtual network
    Thank in advance,

    Hello pham van quyen,
I am assuming that you are downloading the XML file from the portal and then editing it before you create the Virtual Network. You should be able to create a virtual network by using the set-azureVNETconfig command. But if you are connecting a gateway, please
    use the Set-AzureVNetGateway.
I would suggest you to follow this tutorial that will give you information on Windows Azure Network using PowerShell:

If you are having issues with this, please let me know the related errors or failures.

  • Network Gurus: How to create a "virtual" network adapter?

We have an older Xserve (G4) with dual ethernet ports, running OS X Server 10.4 and FileMaker Server 5.5. One of the ethernet ports is connected to an internal network (behind the firewall), the other to an external network (in front of the firewall). There are appropriate IP addresses on each port. Thing is, I need FileMaker Server to be able to serve databases on BOTH network ports and it doesn’t seem to be capable. There’s a “preferred IP address” setting which lets me select the internal or external addresses, but not both.
Is there a way to create a "virtual" network adapter that I can point FileMaker Server to, but have all traffic from both ethernet ports go through this "virtual" adapter? Sort of like a 'software router'?

IMHO, a far, far better solution would be to turn on the VPN server built-into your Mac OS X Server.
That way remote users can connect to the VPN (automatically, even) and get assigned an IP address in the internal network. You gain a high degree of security knowing that only known, trusted external users can access your database. If you do configure Filemaker to listed on your public interface you have no practical way of preventing rogue users from accessing your data.
Since your server already has the VPN server installed, and any modern (or even semi-modern) client should be able to connect to it, I wouldn't look any further.

  • How to share a file system among two differant containers

    Hi there,
Is there anyway to share a filesystem among two containers? If so what makes the difference if the storage is from 1) SAN 2) NAS and 3) Internal Storage.
    Thanks,

    Hi folks,
Thanks for your valuable quotes and suggestions.
Here is my requirement, a FS is mounted in zone which comes form SAN and oracle installed in it, Now for R&D purpose we want create another container and install a newer version of oracle. In this case can we share the storage between those two containers? Not easily. You'd have similar issues if you had two independent machines that you wanted to see the same SAN storage.
If you want to solve this problem via a way that leverages the zone aspect, you have to swap the mount from being in the non-global zone as a direct mount, to being in the global zone and with an lofs mount to the non-global zones.
If these were independent machines, you could make one of them do the mount and serve the data via NFS to the other machine. But that's not available to non-global zones.

  • How To Share An iTunes Library Among Several Users

I want to migrate my iTunes library to an external HD, to free some space in the iMac, and be able to share and add files in the same library among the family members in my iMac.

Niel's instructions don't cover you 100%.  You want to keep things on a different drive and there won't be a "shared" folder there. That's only on your main drive.  You also have to migrate media and/or your library to a different drive using a special process or you will end up breaking all your music links.
You need to clearly state what you want to share.  You can share just media or you can share your whole library structure.  Sharing only media is safest but if you share a common media pool you will all have to keep each other appraised of additions (and deletions, because those too will affect everybody) from the pool.  You have to be pretty trusting and coordinated on this.  Alternatively you can make it so others can copy your media but you will each have your own copy of the file so if somebody else wants to change the name on a track it doesn't do it to the copy you use too.  Of course this takes up the most space but is the safest.  Which migration procedure to do will depend upon your answers to this section.
Finally, I hope you have a backup plan implemented on this.  Nobody will be happy when that external drive fails and it all disappears.

  • How to share a GB file between different computers (using dropbox).

Me and a friend are trying to share Garageband '09 files using a shared folder with dropbox. He saves a .band file and then saves it to the shared folder. After it loads on my side I open it, but it is empty. Does GB even have this capability? Can it save a file with no dependencies? I do not want to export to mp3 or other format. I am trying to share the actual GB file. I don't want to zip or archive at all. We have the space and the forum for sharing, I just need to know how to save it properly in GB, if GB even has this capability. If not, does Logic Express?

You should be able to save the file with no (external) dependencies and share the actual GB file. The .band file is actually a collection of components.
Why not Save As Archive and Zip it? It might travel better when zipped. It can be unzipped and reconstituted upon receipt.

  • How to share the same QUERY among report, chart on the same page? and more

    Dear HTMLDB experts,
I am absolute rookie to this tool, so I have some questions need you all's help.
    (1)
When I build a page with a spread sheet and a chart on the same page, they all use the same query to get the data. However, I have to type in the SQL twice in spread sheet(report region) and chart's attribute sections. It seems so dumb, does it really run the same query twice, is there a way to share the same query?
i.e. SELECT name, timestamp, value FROM foo WHERE name = :P1_NAME? (by the way, is :P1_NAME case sensitive?)
    (2)
In the same chart, if I have two series from two columns of the same table, I have to write 2 queries, one
select null, timestamp, value1 from same_table
    and
select null, timestamp, value2 from same_table
Is it possible to use one query: select timestamp, value1, value2 from same_table and define the series on two value columns of this single query? It's really no point to run two queris.
    (3)
In a chart, when the query has ORDER by clause, it seems the chart is not showing up.
So instead of using the query below
    SELECT null, to_char(ts,'mmdd') ts, value
    FROM same_table
    WHERE ts >= TRUNC(SYSDATE) - :P2_DAYSAGO - 1
    AND name = :P1_NAME
    ORDER BY ts
I have to use a walkaround query
    SELECT null, ts, used
    FROM
    SELECT null, to_char(ts,'mmdd') ts, value
    FROM same_table
    WHERE ts >= TRUNC(SYSDATE) - :P2_DAYSAGO - 1
    AND name = :P1_NAME
    ORDER BY ts
Further more, it seems :P1_NAME in the same subquery is not working for the chart, i get xml parsing errors in SVGviewer, however the same query works for the spread sheet area, I am really puzzeled. Not sure whether it's dumb tool or dumb me :-)
    Appreciate your help!
    Jianhui

For this particular issue, I found out that neither is the tool dumb nor is me. It's SVGViewer messed up with the firefox browser, after I rebooted the computer this morning, problem is gone. I didnt reboot after I copied SVGViewer dll and zip file to firefox plugin directory yesterday. Never had that pain with IE and Netscape, oh well :-). So please ignore this section, however other questions are still unsolved puzzles for me. Thank you all if you can share some light on those questions.

  • Datalogging and Supervisory Control : how to share data among LabVIEW applications on the same network?

I'm new to DSC. Is there an example program or article about how to share data (live data and data saved after running a program) among LabVIEW (using DSC) that is very basic? I would like to share live data and test reult data (eg. excel) among computers on the same network (may be LAN). Does sharing data over a network by using DSC makes whole system (all computers) down when one computer is locked up?

    Hi,
The easiest way to network DSC data is using "network tags". The way you do it is by simply configuring the server PC as you normally would do for a local application.
Then from a remote compute, which we can call a client computer you can go to Tag Configuration Editor and option "File >> Import Network Tags.."
In the window that opens up you can hit the browse buttom and navigate to your server computer, select the .scf file you want to have and hit the buttom import.
Save the "client .scf" file locally and now you have in the client the same configuration you have in the server and your data is networked, from there on is just a matter of manipulating the data.
    I hope it helps

  • How do I share photos and music between different user accounts on the same macbook

How do I share photos and music between different user accounts on the same Macbook? i.e. I want all to be able to access family photos when logged into their respective accounts. Same goes for the iTunes library. Hope this is possible...
    Thanks!

To give other users read-only access to your iTunes library, use the Sharing features of iTunes. Sharing works over the local network as well as on the same computer. See the built-in help for details.
To give others selective access to your iPhoto library, you have the option of using iCloud Photo Sharing, if the privacy implications don't bother you. The images will be stored temporarily on Apple servers.
If you want to give full read/write access to more than one user, see the support articles linked below.

There is a way to share the library without moving it to a secondary volume. If you really need to do that, ask for instructions.

  • How can I share the home folder with different accounts on the same mac?

    Hi, here's a question:
How can I share the home folder with different accounts on the same mac?
The whole point being not to have to install all my apps, and move all my files each time between users.
The second thing would be to be able to modify one document on one account, and have it changed on the other account without having to copy it.
I would like to have a pro and a private account on my mac.
    Thanks for you answers,
    Doug

Your apps should not be installed in your home folder--they should be in /Applications where every user can access them.
If you want to share things between users on the same Mac, use the /Users/Shared folder. Keep your home folder private. Trying to defeat the protections on the home folder subfolders just gets messy. I've never bothered to figure out all of the problems associated with it so I can't explain how to do it.
Even with using Shared, you would need to alter the ACLs on the shared folder in order to allow both users to modify the documents.
You must create a Group in Users & Groups and put each user in that group. Then create a folder inside /Users/Shared where you want to share the various files.
Then, add an ACL to the shared folder that gives the group special permissions. on that folder.
    sudo chmod -R +a "<sharinggroup> allow delete,chown,list,search,add_file,add_subdirectory,delete_child,file_inherit,directory_inherit" /Users/Shared/<sharing folder>
Replace <sharinggroup> and <sharingfolder> with the name of your group and your folder. Then, run the command in the Terminal.
With that ACL, each user in <sharinggroup> will be able to alter the files created by any user in the group in that <sharingfolder>.
Essentially, the client OS is not designed for true file sharing among the individual users. It is designed to isolate each user account from the others.
