How to share apps with husband?

My husband just switched to apple and i would like to share apple id to share apps.  how do i do that?

When you installed these applications, did you install them to the system-wide shared Applications folder or the private Applications folder belonging to your own user account?
Most applications that come with installers will install themselves in the system Applications folder (after asking for an administrator password). Some will ask where they should be installed. Microsoft Office uses an installer; as I recall, it does ask whether it should be available to just you or to everybody with an account on your system.
Applications that you install by dragging go wherever you drag them. Some even provide a shortcut (alias) to your system Applications folder for you to drag them into.

  • How to share apps with new user

I recently added a second user account with admin rights to my macbook pro - on this new user account I do not have access to most of the applications that I had installed on my original user account -- how do I share applications? Most importantly I want to share purchased software, such as Microsoft Office.
    Thank you.

  • Still can't figure out how to share apps with two different itunes accounts, two different apple ids (homesharing for music works fine) this is between my wifes iphone 4s and my ipad 3 4g anyone help ?

My wife has an iphone 4s. I have an ipad 3 4g. Homesharing between the pc, the ipad and the iphone is fine, but only for music. Many forums say that apps can be shared between devices but HOW ???? I can't find a solution anywhere. My wife and I have separate apple ids, separate icloud accounts and separate itunes details....
    Anyone help ?

Select the name of the shared library in the source pane of your itunes, and click on the wee disclosure triangle to the left of the name of the library. Does "Apps" appear beneath the name of the library?
Here's a screenshot of what I mean. (Unfortunately, it's not showing "Apps" because there aren't any in that library. But fingers crossed it should give you an idea of what you're looking for.)

  • How to share apps between 2 iPod Touch

I want to share apps with my daughter - is this possible? If so, how can this be done.

Apps can only be shared on devices using the same iTunes account. So, in order to use the same apps on the other device, you'll have to sync it logged in with your account in iTunes.
Set it up as desired and sync. iTunes will remember the settings for each device.

  • How to share things with aplication express?

The most important thing for using a database is sharing things, but why I grant even all of one of my table to one user, but she even cannot use it, just say: error; userxxx don't have the right to access the content?
Very strange, and the Synonm is also no good, I create one for another user's table, like create synonm XXX for username.tablename.
but when I want to : Select x,x.x, from xxx, it doesn't work!!!

Better to give you some photos that can let you see
the problem , but that can not happen here.Actually, you can use pictures. Do a screen capture where you're having the problem, upload it to http://tinypic.com and then put the link to the picture here in your posting.
Please be noticed all , me and the users don't know
much about SQL, I know some. So everything has to be
done in the GUI interface.Well, the GUI isn't always enough. If you want to do grants you really need to use the SQL command window - and learn the proper syntax for the grant operation.
I(A) grant select , update, insert on A.xx to user
    B,
but they see onthing in ther Application Express, how
can they do insert and all works just like I do ? What is the parsing schema for your application? Is it set to the schema where your data lives?

If you mean just moving files between a Mac and a PC with XP on it, get a USB flash drive, format it FAT32 (they usually come that way) and copy the files to that drive.

  • How do I use iTunes shar to share apps with in my household

I heard that sharing apps with in a household is ok. So I wanna co it but not sure how to do it with I tunes share. Help please

The apps that you share will be associated with your Apple ID, even if you share them with family members. So if an app needs to be updated, then you shall have to sign into your Apple ID on the computers or iOS devices which have the apps installed in order to update them.
Probably the easiest way to share the apps is to copy them from your computer to the other computers in your family and then authorize those computers with your Apple ID. You can authorize up to five (5) computers, including your own, to use your iTunes stuff. On a Mac the apps are stored at this location; ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mobile Applications/ (I have no idea where they are on a Windows box!) Drag & drop the apps that you wish to share from that location onto the iTunes app on the other Macs or PCs over your LAN or other direct connection. Or copy them from that location onto a USB stick and then drag & drop them onto iTunes on the other computers. After you authorize those computers for your iTunes stuff, the apps can be synced to iOS devices. You authorize the computer to use your iTunes stuff in the computer's iTunes app's Store menu.
There are other more complicated methods of moving the apps around to share.

  • How do i share apps with Home Sharing?

How do I share apps from one iPhone/iPad to another with Home Sharing?  "Automatically download apps" is checked on both computers on the network, but they never show up.

As indicated by ckuan, as long as all devices are using the same Apple ID for store purchases then you will be able to share everything you purchase from iTunes. Just make sure you log-in to the iTunes Store on each device using the same Apple ID.

  • How to share apps between 2 iPads with 2 different iTunes account in 2 computers?

I apologize if this has been answered somewhere but I've spent a lot of time researching this and none of the questions exactly match my situation.
Situation: I have my own iTunes account, Mac and iPad. My Mom has her own PC, iTunes account and I just bought her an iPad.
Issue: I would like to share some apps with her, without her having to buy them all over again.  Since I'm paying for all her app purchases anyway, I would rather not pay for Angry Birds twice.  She has her own apps and music that I have no interest in, so we cannot share 1 iTunes account.
This is what I was thinking of doing from all the research I've read:-   Since I can authorize up to 5 computers or 10 computers & devices from 1 iTunes account, can my Mom sign out of her iTunes account on her PC, sign in to my iTunes account, download all the apps she wants from my account. Then, she signs out of my account, back into hers and sync her iPad.
    Questions:
    1) This (should) mean that her PC is now authorized with 2 iTunes accounts - hers and mine. In other words, she gets to keep all her content in her iPad plus whatever apps she wants from me.  Will this work?
    2) It wouldn't wipe out all her apps/music/photos etc during the sync, will it?
    3) Will update to apps I purchased in my iTunes account automatically also update in her iPad?  Or will the update only happen if she signs out of her account and in to mine again.
    4) If someone knows of a better way of doing this, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks much
    Jeff

I do something similar myself and it works quite well, so here are my answers to your questions:
    1. Her PC would be authorized on both iTunes accounts. So yes, the arrangment you mention here will work.
    2. No, nothing will get wiped out from her iTunes library or iPad.
    3. The App Store on her iPad will simply ask for your password in order to update apps from your account. In these cases the authentication alert view will show your Apple ID instead of hers
    4. Maybe instead of using the Purchases tabs (since on the iPad there is an odd restriction to only one account and changing it renders the feature useless for 90 days, why is beyond me) use Home Sharing between the computers if possible, or put what she wants on a flash drive to take to her house.
