Anyone help how to share context to external browser..
I Have two Views View1, view2 , same component and same application.
in view1, I am clicking button then display view2 on external window (external browser) ( CreateExternalwindow) through URL,
so my problame is I want share context of View1 to View2,
I am unable to the context sharing to view2

How to share external USB drive connected to airport time capsule

I have a 4TB Seagate USB Hard Drive connected to my Airport Time Capsule. The Time Capsule connected to a newer iMac running Maverick.
I use the Time Capsule for Time Machines Backups and as a Router, as it was designed for.
I want to use the external Seagate drive to share content with other devices (Mac, IOS, Windows) on my home network
Problem: I cannot figure out how to SHARE the external Seagate drive so that any other devices can see it.
Steps tried: Go to System Preferences, Sharing, and I am unable to add this Seagate drive to list of sharable objects. It is grayed out.

No, that is the correct setting if you want to share out the drive.
Finally, when I run Disk Utility I don't see the Seagate drive (nor the Time Capsule) at all.
Remember that the Time Capsule is a network drive. Any other drive connected to the USB port on the Time Capsule is also a network drive.
Disk Utility cannot be used on a network drive. It only works on a drive that is directly attached to a Mac. If you need to partition the USB drive or something similar, you will need to connect it directly to your Mac for the operation.
Otherwise, everything looks correct in AirPort Utility.

Ensure it's formatted as Mac OS Extended, FAT16, or FAT32, connect it to a self-powered hub, and plug it into the Time Capsule's USB port. If the drive is Ethernet and not USB, ignore everything else and just plug it in.

How to set swing to support using vrml/external/browser ?

When doing applets with AWT to call vrml/external/browser.getbrowser, it works. But if update to use swing instead of awt, applets always cannot say: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: vrml/external/Browser.
The html file containing this applet is converted by command : java HTMLConverter **.html .And also using java1.3.1plug-in.
But if removing java plug-in and add ---ARCHIVE="Swing.jar"---- into **.html source code without using java HTMLConverter. The applet works.
While, this way can let applet work, but thus, the applet cannot connect to mysql database.
So, anyone knows how to set up swing in applet when using converted **.html with javaplugin? ???

I would like to know how to share my extrenal HDD connected to my iMac using SFTP or FTP. I have seen that it is possible on OSX 10.5 but not in 10.8.

you could always download a free sftp server then you could make any drive external or internel avaible from ftp clinets
but imho it's a very odd way to want to share unless it's over the Internet then in all cases ftp and sftp the wrong solution
smd, airdrop and tons of others are more modern and faster and easier to share files between computers no matter the operating system

How to share an iTunes library

I have an iTunes library that is probably 90% music I added from CDs I own and the other 10% purchased from the iTunes Store. Is there a way to copy (or share) this library to my wife's mac on the same network? Or do I need to add an external drive and move my iTunes media library there for access by both computers. Also, can all the music be shared on her computer, or only the 90% that I didn't purchase from the iTunes Store?

To give other users read-only access to your iTunes library, use the Sharing features of iTunes. Sharing works over the local network as well as on the same computer. See the built-in help for details.

I guess I miss something. How can I share a folder of photos? When I return from a shoot, I select 20 of the pictures and need to share them with my client to pick up the favorites. Am I supposed to copy and past an URL for each image separately?
Sometimes I also work with a colleague, I need to share my favorites with him. Same issue.
We have tried Adobe Cloud, and then went for Dropbox. There we can share a folder and he can put even his pictures in it as well. That's what I call collaboration. And it is free (unlike Adobe Cloud). If you have some word in Adobe, please tell them to either drop it and make a deal with services like Dropbox, or make it properly.

Open hyperlinks in html text using StageWebView instead of external browser

My iPad app downloads xml data from a server and displays it as html text. The text may contain hyperlinks and currently these are correctly displayed as links in my app. However when I click on the link, it opens the link in an external browser.
Any idea how I could instead open the links using StageWebView - I know how to open a link using StageWebView - the problem is intercepting whatever causes it to open in the external browser and instead use StageWebView.

If you want links on a web page to open in a new tab, you need to command-click on them. This will work both for links set up to open in the same window and those set up to open in a new window. There is no setting in Preferences to make links on a web page automatically open in a new tab.
There is a preference setting to open links from other programs, such as Mail, in a new tab. In Safari's Preferences, click on the General icon. Towards the bottom where it says "Open links from applications", check "in a new tab in the current window".

Attempting to use it, the program informed me that I needed to be using, either, an EI or a Firefox Browser mentioning version 1.5 {I think it was} or later. The Firefox browser I was using was 3.something; so, everything was going along FINE. When I installed the video capture program, it added the plugin to the browser ~ PERFECTLY!!! I, also, had MANY other plugins that worked and that I used somewhat regularly!!! NOT ANY MORE!!! YOU and your TOTALLY INEPT, WISHTHEYWUZ "PROGRAMMERS" have STOLEN nearly HALF of my COMPUTER!!! How to share iMovie library with other accounts without duplicating files?

I'm looking for information on how to share an imovie library with other accounts on the same computer without duplicating files. If I copy imovie files to the shared folder each user is required to import the files to their library which duplicates the files. It would be nice if imovie had the option of including events/projects shared in the share folder. Is there an option to change everyone's default library to a shared folder? Any help would be appreciated.

The easiest way to do this would be to atach an external drive. The external drive should be formatted as Mac OS Extended (journaled). If you have a drive that is formatted some other way, you can reformat it using Disk Utility. It can be Thunderbolt, Firewire, or USB, but Firewire or Thunderbolt will give best performance for video.
Now you need to move the projects and events over to the external drive. This must be done from within iMovie.
In iMovie, click VIEW/EVENTS BY DISK.
Now, in the Project Library View, hold down the command key while dragging the small icon for each project to the small icon for the external drive. Now select one of these projects and click FILE/CONSOLIDATE MEDIA. This will enable you to move associated Events, Photos, and Music to the external drive. Repeat for all projects.
If any events are left over at the end of this, because they are not used in any of your projects, you can move them to the external drive by working in the Event Library list. Hold down the Command Key while dragging the small icon for the Event in the Event Library List to the small icon for the External Drive. Repeat until all the Events are moved.
Now you can edit these movies on any user account.
For future clips that you import from a camera, be sure to select the external drive as the location.

If your external HDD has a USB interface and is formatted in either HFS+ or FAT32, you can connect it directly to the USB port on your 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn). You would then use the AirPort Utility to configure the AEBSn to share out the HDD over the network.
