How to share icloud with family without sharing apple id

I want to share iCloud with my family so that we can share music but I don't want them to also be able to download my emails etc.  What can I do?

Your iTunes login doesn't have to be the same as your iCloud login. Use one Apple ID for iTunes and share it with your family, and create another for iCloud and keep it to yourself.

  • How to share videos with family over the internet

I have a ton of home videos that I have edited with Final Cut and I would like to find a way to share those with family and friends across the country. Is there any way to do this in the Apple ecosystem. If not, what do most recommend as the best way to do this? Thanks

Thanks for the reply... I'm actually looking for something that would allow me to have all the content available in a library so friends and family can see all the content and then choose what to watch. Ideally, it would be like iTunes or iPhoto only that it could be accessed by multiple people from all over the internet. I think Apple is missing a huge niche in this area.

  • How to share things with aplication express?

The most important thing for using a database is sharing things, but why I grant even all of one of my table to one user, but she even cannot use it, just say: error; userxxx don't have the right to access the content?
Very strange, and the Synonm is also no good, I create one for another user's table, like create synonm XXX for username.tablename.
but when I want to : Select x,x.x, from xxx, it doesn't work!!!

Better to give you some photos that can let you see
the problem , but that can not happen here.Actually, you can use pictures. Do a screen capture where you're having the problem, upload it to http://tinypic.com and then put the link to the picture here in your posting.
Please be noticed all , me and the users don't know
much about SQL, I know some. So everything has to be
done in the GUI interface.Well, the GUI isn't always enough. If you want to do grants you really need to use the SQL command window - and learn the proper syntax for the grant operation.
I(A) grant select , update, insert on A.xx to user
    B,
but they see onthing in ther Application Express, how
can they do insert and all works just like I do ? What is the parsing schema for your application? Is it set to the schema where your data lives?

FAQ: Can I share on the web without sharing to Facebook?
    Answer:
Yes, GroupPix has a web-sharing feature built in. However, only the owner of the GroupPix Event can control whether it’s shared or not. If you go into the GroupPix Event settings, and scroll to the bottom, you see the option to share the album. Copy the URL and email it to a friend, or put it into any web browser to see the online album.
Note: If you created a GroupPix Event, then use the Share feature to email a link to the album, it automatically enables web sharing for you. Then, it generates an email with a link to that album, which you can send to others.

No, purchased iBooks can only be read on the iPad. Of course, purchased Kindle books can be read in both places.

If you use the same Apple ID for iCloud on each device, yes. However, you can use the same Apple ID for iTunes content on each device, but different Apple ID's for iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, etc., on each device. That way, you can have whatever iTunes content you want on each phone, but keep all of the other data separate. You can create another Apple ID here:
    https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/wa/createAppleId?loca lang=en_US
Must be a verified email address.

If you mean just moving files between a Mac and a PC with XP on it, get a USB flash drive, format it FAT32 (they usually come that way) and copy the files to that drive.

Did you follow these instructions? You have to. Also, you have to use an email addresss that you have not used with Apple before, it has to be a new acciount.

I saw the tip on the web site a few days ago, but now I can't find it.
    Thanks ahead,

I was very disappointed to find that we were misled. I am not sure if the guy who wrote this simply didn't check before he wrote this or what.
I wonder why Apple just took this off their site without any explanation to the people that were deceived. I spent quite a bit of time browsing discussions and contacting apple support to figure out that there was no truth to this "tip" of the week. How difficult would it have been to simply post a new tip, saying that we should not waste our time with this?

  • Do you know to how update my iCloud ID to match my Apple ID if I don't know the password and I don't have access to the old e-mail address?

    Hi Guys,
Do you know to how update my iCloud ID to match my Apple ID if I don't know the password  for the old ID and I don't have access to the old e-mail address?

    Hi Guys,
    I've sorted it
All I needed to do was add my old e-mail address - not as the primary but as an alias. This allowed me to delete the account on my iPhone 4S and re-sign in with the correct e-mail address.
    Happy now

Hi I have iPhone 4 crack screen how much to replacement with anther one from apple store ?

If your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad is Broken
Apple does not fix iDevices. Instead, they exchange yours for a refurbished or new replacement depending upon the age of your device and refurbished inventories. On rare occasions when there are no longer refurbished units for your older model, they may replace it with the next newer model.
ATTN: Beginning July 2013 Apple Stores are now equipped to do screen repairs/replacements in-house. In some cases while you wait. According to Apple this is the beginning of equipping Apple Stores with the resources needed to do most repairs for iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches that would not require major replacements. Later in the year the services may be extended as Apple Stores become equipped and staffed with the proper repair expertise. So, if you need a screen repaired or a broken screen replaced or have your stuck Home button fixed, call your local Apple Store to see if they are now doing these in-house.
You may take your device to an Apple retailer for help or you may call Customer Service and arrange to send your device to Apple:
Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775 or visit online Help for more information.
To contact product and tech support: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers.

There are third-party firms that do repairs on iDevices, and there are places where you can order parts to DIY if you feel up to the task. Start with Google to search for these.

  • How does a family share an iTunes account without sharing the master password?

Is there any way to avoid having to give my password to my daughter? I have had the same AppleID for many years, and it also my email address, so I would prefer not to share the password with all of my family. As far as I can tell, I can not change my AppleID associated with my iTunes account.
I do want my daughter to be able to download apps or updates to existing apps even when she is not with me, but that doesn't seem possible without sharing passwords.
It would be great if iTunes allowed "sub-accounts." Perhaps someday.

I do want my daughter to be able to download apps or updates to existing apps even when she is not with me, but that doesn't seem possible without sharing passwords.
That is indeed not possible. She'll either need to re-acquire all those apps through her own iTunes Store account, you'll have to give her the password to your account, or you'll have to do all the updating for her.
    Regards.

  • Share itunes music across family without sharing other things in the itunes media folder!

I am sick and tired of itunes. seriously! apple just wont let go off its tight control over how I can configure my machine!
i have had to create 3 user accounts on my machine (which is the only mac in my home and only used by me) just because my mom and dad each have an iphone and would want to be able to backup and update their iphones. its simply impossible to get it done from the itunes of a single user account.
now i set the target media folder in each itunes library of each user account to the 'Shared' folder on my mac but it ends up sharing more than just the music. worst, it doesn't handle apps from each account gracefully. consequently, it failed at syncing my dad's apps to his new iphone when i restored the back up from the old one  cause there was some conflict with the same app from my user account and his. thankfully his smartphone needs are minimal and i'll only have to redownload about half a dozen apps. but this is getting more complicated by the day.
i decided to just move the music folder to the shared folder and keep a referenced library but that means that when one user account downloads a track the others cannot access it as the track creates and exists in a new music folder inside the itunes media folder (which is not 'reseted' back to its original location).
so now that i have the apps trauma sorted out my music needs to be manually managed! sigh. i have like 30 gb of PAID FOR itunes music (yes paid music! some legalized using itunes match and nearly half of them purchased) and i dont want my family who stays with me to purchase all of the stuff again.
is there any graceful way of handling this?
